Devouring Stars: Master of Evolution

Chapter 499 Researching Reproduction Issues with the Zerg Queen

"The Huaxia Universe Nation has a total of 32 trillion star-level beings participating in the Genius Battle?"

When the registration for the Genius Battle ended, Qin Mu checked the number of participants from the China Universe Nation and was astonished by the number.

Back when he participated, the entire Qianwu Universe Kingdom only had 8200 billion participants!

Even though the Huaxia Universe Kingdom annexed the Qianwu Universe Kingdom and also seized a piece of land in the original Northern Frontier Alliance territory, the total area is about twice that of the original Qianwu Universe Kingdom.

The number of people who could participate in the war was more than 30 times greater than before.

How exaggerated!

If you look at the total number of people from the entire human race who participated in the war, you'll find that the number is even more staggering!

Because of the addition of tens of thousands of extra universe nations, the number of stars participating in the Genius Battle in the entire human race is as high as 10 trillion, which is more than a hundred times more than the number in Qin Mu's generation!

Why are there so many more people participating?

After careful consideration, Qin Mu realized that this data was not surprising.

The human race not only absorbed the entire Northern Frontier Alliance, but the entire Zerg race also merged into the human race!

The Zerg will also participate in this battle of geniuses.

Its territory alone is several times larger than it used to be.

A large number of humans from the secret realms and the divine kingdoms migrated to the original territory of the Northern Frontier Alliance, and over thousands of years, they have multiplied into generations of newborns.

And because of the Seed of Genes, low-level armor, and so on, the potential of the largest number of people at the bottom of society has also been developed.

The number of stars is at least a thousand times, or even ten thousand times, greater than in the past.

Moreover, those who dare to participate in the Genius Battle are all somewhat confident.

Some have extraordinary encounters, such as a transformation of their bloodline!

Some are exceptionally talented, with abilities far surpassing their peers!

Some come from very good backgrounds and have no shortage of resources!

All sorts of people who believed they were very strong chose to participate in the Genius Battle, which is why only 10 trillion star-level geniuses participated in this peak Genius Battle!

"Although this year's Genius Battle has expanded its recruitment tenfold, with the Virtual Universe Company's core team recruiting the top 10,000, the actual competition is much fiercer than before."

Qin Mu looked at the information published on the official website of Virtual Universe Company and sighed.

This is before the human training program has even truly begun. Once the program starts, the competition will likely be ten or even a hundred times greater!

"In this situation, those who are selected will be the true elites!"

Few geniuses in the Virtual Universe Company can break through to immortality; most perish along the way.

But as long as you stand out from the crowd, with your various skills and the resources provided by humanity, becoming an invincible king will be a piece of cake.

Those who undergo transformation through the fifth-generation gene seed will be crowned kings from the very beginning after their breakthrough!

Those with slightly stronger abilities can all reach the high level of being granted the title of King.

She's even more powerful than my Zerg Queen.

Even without reaching the bloodline limit, achieving the title of Marquis after breaking through to Immortality is extremely easy.

The Zerg Queen laughed.

As a former adversary of the human race, she was actually very familiar with the battle of geniuses.

Only when the total number of geniuses increases can more immortals, more cosmic venerables, and the true pillars of the race, the masters of the universe, be born!

"That's true. Let's see if any true elites emerge from this year's Genius Battle."

Qin Mu stopped thinking about it and smiled at the Zerg Queen.

"Hmm, I'd also like to see how the Zerg's talents compare to those of billions of humans on a celestial level."

The Zerg Queen laughed.

Humanity is evolving, and so is the Zerg!

After obtaining the complete "Bloodline Evolution" secret technique from Qin Mu, the Zerg Queen learned it very quickly.

While the Zerg Queen was helping Qin Mu with his various research projects, Qin Mu would also help her in return!

all in all.

With the attention of billions of humans, the battle of geniuses has begun in full swing.

As in the past, the first stage of the Genius Battle is still the open selection.

Approximately 10 billion participants enter a virtual world to fight, each with a different environment, such as a city, a desert, or an ocean.

"Our Chinese lineage still has some geniuses."

Having observed the battles in various virtual worlds using his own privileges, Qin Mu said with a hint of satisfaction.

With just a cursory glance, Qin Mu discovered more than a dozen geniuses who had stepped into the threshold of the higher-level laws of space and time.

Thirty thousand years ago, each of them would have been a top genius with the potential to compete for a top-ten spot.

There are at least tens of thousands of geniuses at this level in this battle of geniuses!

The lower the social class, the greater the influence of bloodline!

Comprehending the laws of bloodlines at the tenth or ninth rank is extremely difficult.

However, if one can evolve to the first-class, second-class, or even world lord level bloodline, one can easily sense the fluctuations of the fundamental laws.

Such is the case with the Golden Horned Beast, a darling of the metal element.

When Qin Mu looked toward the Zerg Queen, he was filled with admiration.

Not only is she exceptionally talented in training Zerg warriors, but the Zerg Queen is also remarkably gifted in both her soul and her understanding of the laws.

Furthermore, they are different from the peak bloodline star behemoths, whose bloodline limits them to master only one kind of law.

When the Zerg Queen is born, she possesses different attributes, just like humans.

Its development potential is significantly stronger.

Moreover, after the Zerg Queen and her optimizations, these Zerg Queens have even stronger talents!

Within his swarm, there was already a group of Zerg Queens, possessing various enhancement programs for the Zerg Queens.

As his relationship with the Zerg Queen grew closer, he naturally handed over these plans to her.

Therefore, during the first chaotic selection process, the Zerg produced thousands of geniuses who had comprehended the fundamental laws of time and space.

Unlike other human geniuses who manipulate various telekinetic weapons or unleash various arcane spells in virtual universes, the Zerg Queens operate in almost the same way.

Each of them commands a spherical hive, which not only possesses powerful defenses but also continuously produces Zerg warriors over time.

The most powerful Zerg Queen had already cultivated millions of star-level Zerg warriors after the first chaotic selection process, and they almost completely destroyed the entire trial world!

The rest also cultivated thousands, or even tens of thousands, of Zerg warriors.

Combined with their naturally powerful souls, they practically swept through the enemy lines.

"The Zerg Queen has too much of an advantage."

Qin Mu couldn't help but sigh.

When the Zerg participated in this battle of geniuses, the human leadership discussed whether to limit the Queen's ability to train Zerg warriors.

At the Eternal Star level, no matter how talented one is, they are almost helpless against tens of thousands of Eternal Star Zerg warriors, plus the Zerg Queen who is skilled in soul attacks and can use combined attacks.

The combined attack of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of star-level Zerg warriors can easily break through the boundaries of the cosmic level and even the domain lord level.

How can you compare normal human geniuses?

No matter how high your understanding of the laws is, you can never be a match for them.

Because of the Zerg Queen's power, the last level of the second stage of the Genius Battle, which is the seven trial towers where Qin Mu once shone brightly, is the Zerg Queen!

As a queen of the same star level, she can serve as the gatekeeper of the final trial tower!

However, the final agreement did not impose any restrictions on the Zerg Queen herself.

Humanity holds genius competitions to select geniuses.

Since the Zerg have joined the human race, they should be treated equally.

Nurturing Zerg warriors is the Zerg Queen's talent, and the Hive is also a treasure born of them, which can be said to be an extension of the Queen's body.

There should be no reason to restrict it.

It will only limit the resources that the Zerg Queens can bring when entering the virtual world.

Once inside the virtual universe, they can collect resources on their own to train Zerg warriors.

Moreover, the Zerg Queen will have an advantage in the first phase of the melee, but these advantages will disappear in the arena battles and the final one-on-one battles.

After all, there's no time for the Zerg Queen to train Zerg warriors during arena battles and one-on-one challenges.

"This advantage is nothing."

However, after the first round of melee ended, the Zerg Queen was not satisfied with the result.

"Comparing the Chinese lineage to my Zerg lineage will certainly make my Zerg lineage seem stronger, but if you compare the Zerg to the entire human race, they are far inferior."

The Zerg Queen looked at Qin Mu speechlessly.

Although the Zerg have been incorporated into the human race and become a branch of the human race.

Thousands of years ago, the Zerg were one of the six most powerful races, just like humans, and were even stronger overall than humans.

How can the Chinese civilization, which has only developed for tens of thousands of years, compare with the Mother Empress?

According to her idea, Zerg geniuses should occupy at least one-third, or even half, of the genius slots in this genius competition.

In reality, the Zerg Queen accounts for at most one-tenth of the number of top geniuses!

"Hahaha, how many Zerg queens are there?"

Compared to our Chinese lineage, it's far inferior, let alone compared to the entire human race. The fact that it occupies such a large proportion is already quite astonishing.

Qin Mu laughed loudly.

"That's why I didn't raise the bloodline of the Chinese people too much, nor did I help you raise the bloodline of the Zerg Queen."

The stronger the bloodline, the weaker the reproductive ability.

If the Zerg Queen's life level is further enhanced, she will surpass the Starry Sky Beasts of peak bloodline. At that time, her numbers will become even fewer, perhaps even becoming as rare as special life forms.

Instead of doing that, it would be better to wait until they reach the Immortal level before improving!

Maintaining the overall number of people at the grassroots level is crucial; otherwise, the population will only continue to shrink.

Qin Mu is capable of mass-producing 10081 times the number of Insect Hive Tyrants in terms of bloodline.

It wouldn't be difficult to elevate the entire bloodline of the Chinese people to the limit of ordinary life, that is, 10 times the genetic potential.

But Qin Mu did not do that.

The same applies to the bloodline evolution of low-level armor.

After repeated discussions and verifications, the upper limit for low-level implantation equipment will be cosmic-level bloodline!

That is, the third-class bloodline.

To get to the next level, you have to rely on your own hard work.

"This is a troublesome matter; the number of Zerg Queens is far too small."

"Do you have any good ideas?"

The Zerg Queen frowned slightly.

"There are solutions, of course."

Qin Mu smiled slightly.

"Either lower their bloodline strength to enhance their potential, or research how to improve their reproductive abilities!"
