Chapter 18 Strange Stars (Please add to your favorites and leave a comment)

The fist-sized space magic crystal was quite effective. In just one night, Bai Mo felt that the magic energy he had used up in the previous failed attempt had been restored, and he had accumulated an uncontrollable foundation. Meanwhile, the turmoil in the stardust had already subsided.

Bai Mo woke up when the sun was high in the sky, ate breakfast, and then returned to his room. Holding his breath, he vowed to himself to break through to the intermediate level of the Space System.

He then entered into deep meditation, his mind skillfully taking over the silver stardust that was moving at a constant speed in his mental world.

Bai Mo once again mobilized the space-element stardust that was ready for battle, and resolutely crashed into the invisible constraint that was enveloping his forehead.

"Snap!"

A crisp cracking sound rang in his mind.

Bai Mo felt a sharp pain in his forehead, and then it felt as if he had entered a raging river from a narrow stream, or as if he were a butterfly emerging from its cocoon and spreading his wings.

A variety of emotions, such as pleasure, excitement, and joy, were transmitted into his mind through what had expanded into a magnificent and dazzling silver nebula.

Bai Mo looked at this nebula, which was magnificent, dazzling, and vast, much larger than the original tiny speck of stardust.

The seven stardust particles that were already familiar with each other now have forty-two new, unfamiliar brothers and sisters.

"Hahahahaha!"

Bai Mo burst into laughter and opened his eyes.

Then he felt something strange; the space around him gave him an unprecedented sense of intimacy.

Closing my eyes again, the silver stars in the silver nebula seemed somewhat different.

Bai Mo caught a star and examined it closely. He saw that it was a size larger than the original star, and there was a faint, mysterious pattern on its surface.

He felt he could control them at will.

Opening his eyes, Bai Mo reached out and drew a line in the air.

A flash of silver light appeared, and a semi-transparent helmet appeared in the space, hovering silently.

This is a modified application of the air shield.

This is... a high-level level of control?

However, it seems to be stronger, but those stars are somewhat like the mutated star talents of the space system.

So Bai Mo went to the window, and starlight flashed around him again.

"Telekinesis - Phantom Sword!"

Suddenly, a three-foot-long, semi-transparent, illusory longsword appeared, as he had a thought.

In the blink of an eye, it flew out of the window, cutting off half of a rockery in the courtyard. Bai Mo stared intently at it; the cut surface was perfectly smooth.

As expected, it's a level four telekinesis! But dimensional magic doesn't have the concept of star enhancement, it can only be nurtured with mental power, so where did this level four phantom sword come from?

Bai Mo thought about it and figured it was probably related to the changes in the stars. He'd just consider it a variant of mind control.

"Hahahahaha!"

A boastful laugh rang out again as Bai Mo swaggered into the living room.

His eyes scanned the surroundings, and he spotted Bai Hanxing in the pavilion in the courtyard.

He ignored the Bai family head, who was looking at him with a probing gaze, and took a few steps to stand in front of Bai Hanxing, saying:

"Hey, Hanxing, I've reached the intermediate level! Pretty impressive, huh? How about that? Aren't you way more awesome than you were back then? Aren't you envious? Aren't you jealous? I just casually cultivate, and I'm already faster than you in the intense competition. Why don't you call me 'brother'? I'll teach you how to cultivate!"

Bai Mo rattled off like a machine gun, his incessant chatter leaving Bai Hanxing speechless. The more he listened, the darker his face grew, and he finally put down the latest news about Zhongjian Town that his colleague had given him.

He stepped over to Bai Mo's side and said, "You've reached the intermediate level, right? Let me help you loosen up."

As he spoke, he reached out and lifted Bai Mo up.

"Hey, hey, what are you doing? You're resorting to violence because you can't win an argument?!"

"Yeah, what can you do about it?"

Helpless, Bai Mo caught sight of the Bai family head standing at the door and immediately cried out, "Bai family head, your genius son is about to be beaten to death, can you bear to watch?"

"Hanxing, let him go first."

Bai Yuanzhi spoke to his eldest son, and after seeing him release Bai Mo, he turned to his youngest son, Bai Mo, who had surprised him greatly:

When did you achieve that breakthrough?

"just."

"Not bad." Bai Yuanzhi nodded. "Bai Mo, you have great talent, especially in the space system. I don't expect you to study as diligently as Han Xing did day and night, but you should still work harder, otherwise you will waste your talent."

"I know, I know, you should really give me some resources." Bai Mo waved his hand to indicate that he had heard.

"Hmm... Now that you've broken through, let Hanxing guide you to awaken your element. What element do you want to awaken? My suggestion is lightning, as you still have too few attack methods."

"Oh my, Patriarch Bai is overflowing with fatherly love today, even knowing to care about me, how touching!" Bai Mo said, making a heart-clutching gesture, his tone sarcastic.

"Hanxing, keep fighting."

Bai Mo quickly made a stop gesture: "Patriarch Bai is right, I agree! Let's go, let's go."

"..."

Bai Yuanzhi and Bai Hanxing were speechless and both sighed.

The Mingzhu Master Pagoda, Guo Liyu's Awakening Room.

"I have personally placed the lightning-type guiding stone on the awakening array. Young Master Bai, your younger brother is ready to go in and awaken."

Guo Liyu walked over to Bai Mo and Bai Hanxing, who were sitting in the rest area, and said.

Upon hearing this, Bai Mo got up and, led by his apprentice Xiao Mian, entered a dark Awakening Room.

The tranquil environment quickly calmed him down. He closed his eyes, immersing himself in his spiritual world and calling upon a new magic system.

The purple lightning guide stone outside also lit up with a soft glow.

In the darkness, Bai Mo's thoughts drifted away from the silver space nebula, aimlessly searching through the darkness.

As my thoughts raced, a moon-white light came into view from a corner of my field of vision.

The moment Bai Mo saw it, he knew its identity.

"Summoning magic!" Bai Mo was a little surprised. "Another dimensional magic."

He approached this tiny speck of stardust, its transparency occasionally catching a glimpse of moonlight, like a gaze from another world.

"Huh?!"

Bai Mo exclaimed in surprise as he looked at the star he had bound. The summoned star was also transparent, and occasionally a moon-white light would flash across it.

To Bai Mo's surprise, there was a strange pattern within these transparent stars.

Bai Mo didn't know how to describe the pattern; its shape was different every time he observed it.

It is a mixture of black and white, a blend of five colors, neither clear nor dark, like a chaotic mess, indescribable.

"What is this?"

Bai Mo muttered to himself, not out of panic, but because of what was mentioned in "A Brief View of Star Changes":

If a mage's awakened stardust or starparticles are unusual, there is only one possibility: innate talent.

This must be a natural talent for summoning, but what exactly it is? Bai Mo didn't know; the more detailed information was all recorded in his textbooks.

That's outside the realm of common sense.

"Bai Mo, are you finished awakening?"

Bai Hanxing's question snapped Bai Mo out of his thoughts. He ended his contemplation and walked out of the Awakening Room.

As soon as I came out, I heard Guo Liyu ask with a smug and confident tone:

"Young Master Bai, how's it going? Have you awakened your lightning element yet? Let me tell you, among the awakened masters in the Pearl Mage Tower, this is it!"

As he spoke, he gave a thumbs-up.

Bai Mo shook his head, mercilessly retorting, "No, I haven't awakened the lightning element."

Seeing their astonished expressions, he raised his hand, and a hazy, moon-white light swept across his outstretched hand.

"It's a summoning type."

"Summoning type!!"

Guo Liyu and Bai Hanxing were both somewhat surprised.

Then Bai Hanxing looked at his younger brother with complicated emotions.

He couldn't understand why there was such a big difference between them, even though they were born to the same parents.

But he teased her, saying, "You're on a one-way street to becoming a dimensional mage. Now the family can't afford to support you anymore. Do you know how expensive summoning is?"

"Making money is easy for a spatial mage like me."

"You? Do you even know anything about casting?"

"I'm going to hunt demons. I have a lot of space, so I'm not worried about not being able to fit all the demons in."

"You have that ability?"

Faced with Bai Hanxing's merciless mockery, Bai Mo retorted, "Just you wait, fortunes change every three years..."

Before he could finish speaking, Bai Hanxing interrupted the spellcasting, saying, "I know, fortunes change, don't underestimate a young man's potential."

After saying that, he paused for a moment, "By then you'll be in your twenties, no longer a teenager, and I won't be able to bully you."

Bai Mo turned his head and walked straight out, but his voice still came from behind him.

"You're just jealous! Just wait, I'll hang you up and beat you up sooner or later."
