Naruto: Starting from Eating the Gold Fruit

Chapter 606 The Third Round of Exams Officially Begins

Inside the inner city of Konoha Village, within the Ninja Academy:

Iruka walked into the classroom and looked at the students he was going to teach this term, saying, "Today, you should take a good look at the fighting abilities of your seniors, and then study hard and strive to surpass the seniors in this Chunin Exams of the entire ninja world."

"Okay~"

All the students nodded in unison.

This scene was happening in every village throughout the entire ninja world.

The Chunin Exams held in Konoha this year have indeed attracted a lot of attention.

The ninjas from both the large and small villages learned a lot from this test.

If the first exam tested a ninja's basic qualities and strong mentality, the second round tested a ninja's ability to gather and judge information, and the third round tested the most fundamental qualities that all ninjas possess, and which are also the most valued by all ninja villages...

Combat strength.

That's right, it's combat power.

While individual strength may have a negligible impact in the current Shinobi World War, given that which of the five great ninja villages doesn't have missiles?

Well, okay, Iwagakure and Kirigakure don't have them, but those two villages spent a lot of money to buy missiles.

Yes, he buys them. That damn madman from Konoha Village even sells those missiles.

As for Sunagakure...

Sunagakure Village was short of funds, so they had to develop it themselves.

Therefore, Sunagakure's missiles are the least powerful, capable of destroying only one village, while Konoha's missiles are the most powerful, capable of destroying an entire country.

Of course, the ones that Konoha Village sells to others are definitely a level less powerful.

In short, the current state of warfare among the five great ninja villages is roughly as follows...

Just stay at home, press a button, and missiles will whiz out, wiping out at least an entire enemy village, or more likely, an entire country.

Therefore, while ninjas' combat abilities are not entirely useless in modern warfare, their role is certainly different from the past when ninjas directly engaged in combat.

However, to judge the strength of a village, most people still prefer to look at the strength of the village's ninjas.

Today, they can see just how strong the ninjas from Konoha and other villages really are.

So, all the schools in all the villages organized a movie screening today.

I'm watching this live stream.

It is foreseeable that in the future, Konoha Village's live broadcasts will become the most famous programs in the entire ninja world.

……

Inside the inner castle of Konoha Village, at Yuya's home:

Tsunade, her face slightly flushed, looked at Yua: "Really, really, do you want to go up with me?"

Yuya looked at Tsunade with a puzzled expression: "Of course, you are another famous figure in our Konoha Village, so it's no big deal for you to go up with me."

Tsunade's pretty face flushed slightly. Although she was indeed getting on in years, she looked no more than thirty because of the Yin Seal.

"Hmm, okay, alright..."

Yuya smiled and took Tsunade's hand: "We're an old married couple, what's there to be shy about? Let's go together to the opening ceremony of the Chunin Exams and cheer on those kids."

"...Mmm." Tsunade nodded, her face flushed. Without a doubt, she was happy at that moment.

Ten minutes later:

"Bang"

"Bang bang bang"

Fireworks exploded in the sky, and the fireworks show was simultaneously broadcast live in all the ninja villages.

Although Yuya felt that it was just an exam and that making it too fancy would easily lead to failure, Lujiu thought it was better to make it more elaborate, so Yuya let it go.

Well, Yuya also thinks there's nothing wrong with making it a bit more fancy.

Amidst the burst of fireworks, a girl from Konoha Village slowly emerged from the smoke-filled entrance.

She is currently one of the most famous stars in the world:

Dewdrops.

Yes, although it's very unusual—it's counterintuitive that a girl who loves playing games could become a super streamer with the second-largest fan base in the world after the princess of the Snow Country—it's not impossible if you think about it carefully.

After all, Yu Lu started streaming games more than a decade ago, and she hasn't had a boyfriend or started a family all these years—because she really doesn't want to. She still has all her core fans.

Therefore, Yu Lu can be considered the perfect candidate to host this opening ceremony.

Seeing their daughter dressed up so smartly, Tsunade and Yua, who were waiting to go on stage, both turned pale.

Damn it, I forgot about this.

Well, these few days are an exception, let's just let this little girl do her best.

"Hello everyone, I'm your old friend, Rukia-chan. Today, I'll be giving the opening remarks for this Chunin Exams broadcast live across the entire ninja world, and also explaining the detailed rules of the third round of the Chunin Exams to everyone!"

Yu Lu's appearance caused a great sensation in the arena where the third round of exams was held. Many people started clapping and cheering, and those who didn't know better might have thought that Yu Lu was holding a concert or something.

……

Hidden Cloud Village:

Seeing Yu Lu's serious expression, Yu Ji couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Everyone else looked at Youji with confusion. Youji pointed at the screen and said to his son Youli, "See that, Xiaoli? That's your aunt. Remember what she looks like. If you ever see your aunt with messy hair, don't forget you won't recognize her! Hahahaha!"

The travelogue was laughing loudly, and everyone else looked at it speechlessly.

Okay, they all forgot, this guy is also the son of the Hokage of Konoha Village, and he and the beautiful woman on the screen are siblings...

……

Yu Lu held the microphone nervously, having almost completely forgotten what was supposed to be a long opening speech.

So she looked directly at all the audience and said, "Then let's get straight to the point and introduce the rules of this third round of the Chunin Exams!"

Downstairs, You Ya frowned: "Where's the opening speech I wrote? Has this little girl forgotten it all?"

Tsunade, standing to the side, smiled and looked at Yua: "Is that the opening line you wrote, 'The autumn sky is clear and the air is cool,' which is something the whole world is looking forward to today, blah blah blah, more than a thousand words? It's better not to read it. If you read it, the audience will probably fall asleep."

Yuya looked at Tsunade with a hint of grievance: "It took me at least half an hour to write this..."

Tsunade suppressed a laugh, patted Yua's hand, and smiled.

She was indeed very happy.

Soon after, with Yuru explaining the rules, the third round of the Chunin Exams officially began...

In short, the rules are simple: the seven teams that advanced originally had 21 members, but because the Star Village team leader was disqualified for defecting, there are now only 20 members left. These 20 members...

You will first draw lots and compete in a round. The winner will advance to the next round.
