As the four gargoyles moved, they brandished their sharp claws and charged towards the Tyrannomon with ferocity, intending to tear it to shreds.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex stood calmly at the entrance of the side hall, its arms outstretched to protect Lin Chen behind it, while its body began to grow rapidly.

The weakened Dark Swordsman was no match for Greymon. With just a few punches, Greymon shattered the Dark Swordsman's armor, revealing his shriveled body underneath.

Then, Greymon tossed the Dark Swordsman into the air and breathed a flame at him, easily defeating a Commander-level monster.

As Tyrannomon defeated the Dark Swordsman, a system notification sounded in Lin Chen's mind.

"The dark energy requirements have been met. Does the host wish to specifically summon a dark-type Digimon?"

"yes!"

Without any hesitation, Lin Chen directly selected the confirmed option.

"Host's Digimon has been selected; the Digimon is being summoned!"

In the dimly lit side hall, an even darker light shone, and a Digimon that was entirely black and resembled a cat appeared beside Lin Chen.

"BlackGatomon?" Lin Chen murmured the Digimon's name, then asked the system, "Can BlackGatomon control the power of darkness?"

"Hint: BlackGatomon does not possess the power to control darkness. To control darkness, BlackGatomon needs to evolve again."

"Hint: The remaining dark energy can temporarily evolve BlackGatomon into LadyDevimon. Do you wish to evolve?"
