BlackGatomon responded and leaped off Garurumon, landing precisely on the skull of the demon skeleton.

The demon skeleton stretched out its skeletal forelimbs, trying to pry BlackGatomon off its skull, but the next second, with a loud "boom," the entire skeleton shattered, and the only remaining skull was covered in cracks.

BlackGatomon leaped back into Lin Chen's arms and pointed to the skull on the ground at the wolf skeleton.

The wolf-beast skeleton wasn't stupid either; it immediately understood BlackGatomon's meaning, and trotted over to the skull, devouring the embers of the demonic skeleton.

"Garurumon, how are you?"

Lin Chen jumped off Garurumon while holding BlackGatomon, walked up to Garurumon, reached out and patted Garurumon's head before asking a question.

"Everything was fine before, but once we started fighting, I realized that even though I was using a lot of strength, I wasn't getting the desired results," Garurumon replied.

"Garurumon has dealt with all the battles along the way so easily. I thought I wasn't affected. Turns out it's just that it's not the right time yet." BlackGatomon said, nestled in Lin Chen's arms. "Let's put Garurumon away first. Staying any longer will only make it worse. If I can evolve here, I can help Garurumon clear away the dark power."

Lin Chen nodded and put Garurumon away. Just as Lin Chen was about to summon Greymon, he was stopped by BlackGatomon.

"No matter which one you summon, Greymon or Groudon, they will be affected by the dark forces."

"You might as well ride it here." BlackGatomon pointed to the wolf skeleton standing to the side, looking bewildered as Garurumon suddenly disappeared.

"Will it work?" Lin Chen asked, somewhat uneasy.

"Don't worry, it'll be fine. Its ribs are so big, it won't fall off or hurt its butt. I'll go talk to it." After saying that, BlackGatomon jumped in front of Skeleton Wolfmon and had a friendly chat with it.

A moment later, the wolf-beast skeleton understood BlackGatomon's meaning and came to Lin Chen's side on its own, lying down and gesturing for Lin Chen to ride on its back.
