Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...
Chapter 115 Awaken, Ravenclaw!
Chapter 115 Awaken, Ravenclaw!
Even before the operation, Rice had envisioned what would happen when he met Ravenclaw. In her lucid state, Ravenclaw was quite resistant to his potions; he didn't think that the now-mad Ravenclaw would willingly drink them.
The problem then became how to make these potions work on Ravenclaw's soul.
Rice's solution was to make the potions volatile. Combined with the fact that the battleground would likely be a confined space, this would allow Ravenclaw to be thoroughly "infected" by the potions.
Meanwhile, during the fight between Rice and Ravenclaw, all the potions that had been spilled on the ground had evaporated, and the potion concentration in the enclosed space was gradually increasing.
Rice smashed bottle after bottle of potions on the ground as if they contained mineral water, not precious potions. His actions were as if the raw materials for potions were free.
If Ravenclaw still retained her intelligence, she would surely have noticed the clues in Rhys's behavior. Unfortunately, she has now lost her mind and become as easily fooled as Gryffindor.
The potion in the air gradually adhered to Ravenclaw's soul. At first, she did not notice anything unusual, but when the amount was large enough, wisps of black smoke began to rise from Ravenclaw's ghost.
The pain that emanated from his very soul caused Ravenclaw's attack to halt for a moment.
Rice was not about to let this opportunity pass. He threw out the remaining potions all at once. As the potion bottles flew in front of Ravenclaw, one of them suddenly exploded, and the flying shards shattered the other bottles. A large amount of potion was poured directly onto Ravenclaw.
At this point, Ravenclaw could no longer remain "calm" and let out a painful scream.
The potion poured on her caused her immense pain, much like hot oil poured on an ordinary person.
Furthermore, to make the potion adhere better, the last batch of potion was made quite viscous, so it clung to Ravenclaw and enveloped her.
These potions have a single effect: to corrode the soul and eliminate magic. If used on an ordinary ghost, they would undoubtedly be poison, but for a corrupted soul like Ravenclaw's, these potions are like soaking silverware in white vinegar, removing the deteriorated parts.
However, the process was quite painful, and if Ravenclaw could still maintain a certain level of sobriety, Rice would not have resorted to such brutal methods.
The Ravenclaw ghost's body surface became like boiling porridge, with many large and small bubbles rising to the surface. The bubbles gradually expanded and burst, releasing plumes of black smoke.
As the black smoke dissipated in the air, a series of shrill screams echoed from the void.
Rice no longer used the swamp to hide himself; he surfaced directly and looked at Ravenclaw, who was in agony. The potions clinging to her body had turned black, like mud.
It's time to take the final step.
Rice rolled up his sleeves, revealing a hideous human face on the upper part of his arm—Voldemort, whom he had sealed within himself.
He pulled out his wand and drew a circle on his arm with the tip, instantly revealing the human face.
Unlike when it first touched his skin, its face was now enveloped in Rice's magic, like a water balloon.
As he removed Voldemort from his arm, Rice applied a layer of ointment to his surface. This ointment had no real purpose; it was simply to enhance his absorption ability.
With this ointment, Voldemort can draw even more corruption from Ravenclaw's soul.
Rice carefully guided the ointment-covered bubble face toward Ravenclaw. She was too preoccupied to notice Rice's little actions, so she easily placed the face face onto Ravenclaw's spirit body.
Snapped!
The magical shield shattered, and Voldemort's remnant spirit instinctively stretched out his tentacles toward the nearest spirit...
In an instant, Ravenclaw and Voldemort's souls merged together, and Voldemort let out a terrifying scream just like Ravenclaw.
In contrast, Ravenclaw's condition showed a visible improvement. The porridge-like substance on the surface of her spirit body frantically surged towards Voldemort's remnant soul, and the black, flocculent substance within her spirit body also began to coalesce and transfer into Voldemort's body...
This process lasted about fifteen minutes.
At this moment, Daphne, standing outside the tunnel, was filled with anxiety—as countless wind blades attacked, the crystal ball's image had been plunged into darkness, as if the lens had been covered in mud. If it weren't for the occasional sounds coming from the depths of the tunnel, she would have truly believed that Rice had died in the attack.
However, the noise stopped quickly. A few screams came from down the tunnel, and then there was silence. Fortunately, the screams sounded like a woman's voice, otherwise Daphne would have really run down to check what was going on.
Unlike Daphne, Rice was now overwhelmed with joy: Ravenclaw's awakening was only a matter of time.
At this point, Ravenclaw's ghost had largely returned to its normal ghostly form, and the remaining filth within its body had diminished considerably, with only some remnants deep within. In contrast, Voldemort's soul fragment had become as black as ink. Due to the pain caused by the contamination, his features were completely distorted, making it impossible to discern a human face at first glance.
This ugly, dark lump, like a tumor, grew on Ravenclaw's shoulder. Judging from his appearance, the Voldemort fragment's absorption of contamination was nearing saturation.
The Ravenclaw ghost fell silent, as if it had fallen into a deep sleep.
Rice stood to one side, waiting expectantly. Suddenly, he remembered something, immediately conjured a note, and flew up the passageway—he needed to let Daphne know he was safe, lest the little girl worry.
After receiving Rice's note, Daphne breathed a sigh of relief: It's good that everything is alright.
However, she was also secretly curious: Who exactly is this person that Rice went to such great lengths for? Why is it in the seal? What is its relationship with Rice and his family?
Considering the function of the dungeon within the seal, Daphne felt that the person who came to rescue Rice was likely his ancestor, or a predecessor who guarded the seal.
More than half an hour later, when Daphne outside the passageway started drawing a chessboard on the ground and playing chess with herself, Rice noticed that Ravenclaw Ghost's hand trembled.
He immediately emerged completely from the swamp, the mud sliding off his body without leaving a trace of dirt on his robe.
Ravenclaw's eyes darted around under her eyelids a few times, and suddenly she opened them.
