Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 161 Domain Restraint

Chapter 161 Domain Restraint

"Capricorn!" Vigo was shocked by the sudden turn of events. She frantically shouted Capricorn's name and lunged at him, but Sagittarius, who was clearly more experienced in combat, grabbed her hand and pulled her aside.

Dozens of icicles landed on the spot where she had just stood and on the path she took towards Capricorn. If Sagittarius hadn't come to her aid, she would have been turned into a hedgehog by now.

Vigo was pulled away by Sagittarius, dodging Rice's attack, but Sagittarius himself wasn't so lucky. The rain falling from the sky turned into needle-like ice threads, hitting half of his body.

Even though he reacted quickly and swiftly cast an Ironclad Spell above his head, some ice threads still managed to penetrate from the edge of the spell and embed themselves in his arm.

Sagittarius will only feel a chill in their arm, and then their entire arm will become uncontrollable.

The attack was not over. The raindrops in the sky were constantly turning into powerful ice needles, and the mist around them had also turned from friend to foe, beginning to cause them trouble.

Suddenly, Sagittarius and Vigo found themselves in an extremely passive state.

Fortunately, the voice of a Capricorn could be heard not far away.

"He won't die."

Capricorn pulled the ice pick out with a backhand motion, leaving a hole in his chest. Mist filled the wound quickly.

Capricorns within their domain, even if they suffer what would be considered fatal injuries by ordinary standards, are largely unharmed, because once the domain is activated, the entire person becomes part of it. Therefore, a wizard with a domain is practically a dimensional annihilation to one without. However, Capricorns sense something amiss; they inexplicably feel they've lost their usual effortless control over their domain.

He could still control the fog, but there was always an indescribable awkwardness in manipulating it.

Seeing that Capricorn was alright, Sagittarius and Vigo were in high spirits.

If Capricorn runs into trouble, then there will be no chance of survival tonight. But since Capricorn is still fighting, there's still a chance for everyone to fight.

The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously increased their magical output, pouring all their power into the divine remains parasitizing them.

Vigo's skin grew paler and paler, and she looked as if she had truly turned into a marble statue. Moreover, it wasn't just her appearance that resembled a marble statue; the hardness of her skin was also close to that of stone, and the ice needles simply couldn't penetrate her skin.

Sagittarius's transformation was even more astonishing. His eyes suddenly burst into flames, and through the blazing light, the world he saw changed. Specific objects began to deconstruct, eventually turning into clusters of magic of various colors.

From the surface, the three of them had immediately turned the tide, and considering the vast area Capricorn was operating in, they even had the upper hand. But faced with such a huge advantage, Sagittarius showed fear: because the world he saw was completely different from reality.

The entire world was submerged in silvery-green magic; both the sky and the land were enveloped in a blanket of this color. Capricorn's domain, which nearly covered half of Hogwarts, was almost completely eroded by the silvery-green in the magical vision. As for himself and Vigor, who had no domain, Sagittarius could only see their magic, which flickered like candles in the wind, when he looked directly at them.

They are like a small boat on a vast ocean, which may be swallowed up at any time.

He tried to warn his teammates, but when he opened his mouth, not a sound came out. The moment he tried to speak, the numbness in his arm spread throughout his body, freezing him in place.

Capricorn and Vigo were completely unaware of Sagittarius's unusual behavior; the two were diligently gathering their strength for a counterattack.

Suddenly, the endless ice needles and the occasional ice spikes that would strike suddenly all disappeared, and a person appeared not far in front of the two.

Vigo wanted to go up and give him a powerful elbow strike, but Capricorn stopped him.

At this moment, Capricorn had already sealed the hole in his chest with mist, and looked as if nothing had happened.

"Who are you?" The old man scrutinized the person in front of him warily.

His first impression of Rice was that he was young, incredibly young.

"Salazar Slytherin," Rice answered truthfully.

Vigo snorted. Although Capricorn didn't say anything, he seemed to completely disbelieve Rice's words.

"If you're Slytherin, then I'm Athena," Vigo retorted.

Rice shrugged. Sometimes, telling the truth is the only thing that gets you nowhere.

Capricorn wanted to say something more, but Rice raised her hand to interrupt him.

"I don't know if you have a teacher, or if your teacher ever said that the more basic a domain is, the better. For example, water is better than rain, snow, frost, and fog, and wind is better than smoke, etc. In other words, try not to let your domain become a derivative of other domains. Even if you can't comprehend a basic domain, try to make your domain a combination of basic domains. For example, magma, which is a combination of fire and earth, is very good. Of course, this is a bit demanding, since those who can comprehend a domain are already among the best of magicians." Rice rambled on, sounding just like an old professor giving a lecture.

Capricorn listened with great interest, even forgetting for a moment that the others were engaged in a life-or-death struggle. However, he soon realized something was wrong: he had completely lost control of the area.

"Look, this is the crushing power of the basic domain over the derived domain. If you had comprehended other domains, I'm afraid I would have had to put in a lot of effort, but since you are [Mist], it's very simple." Rice waved his hand, and Capricorn's domain instantly dissipated.

Only a light drizzle remained between heaven and earth.

Capricorns look ashen-faced.

At this moment, Sagittarius, who had been frozen in place, suddenly transformed into a fireball. If you slowed down the viewing speed, you could see that his entire body had become fuel for those eyes.

The fireball split in two; one half hurtled toward Rice like a meteor, while the other half flew into the sky.

Faced with an opponent so powerful it inspires despair, Sagittarius chooses to fight to the death, sacrificing himself entirely to the remains of the god, hoping only to hold off Rice for a moment and escape with his soul.

The fireball struck Rice, instantly turning him to ashes. But before Vigo could even show a hint of joy, another Rice appeared diagonally in front of them.

As for the fireball that flew into the sky, it gradually dimmed in the continuous drizzle and finally went out after flying nearly a hundred meters.

Splat!

Two cloudy eyeballs fell onto the grass. Rice glanced at them and felt that the eyes looked somewhat familiar, perhaps belonging to some deceased "person".

"Yes, I'm just an old thing from the old days..." Rice said casually, glancing at Vigo and Capricorn, and said with a regretful tone, "But you can't even handle an old thing like me who can't keep up with the times, that's really disappointing."

Capricorns want to say something, but when they open their mouths, they can't utter a single word.

He felt something flowing in his chest. He looked down and found that the mist that had blocked the hole had disappeared, and blood was dripping out.

Capricorn feels their energy rapidly draining from their body, and the scene before them gradually darkens...
