Ancient Wizards Return to Hogwarts...

Chapter 247 Ravenclaw's Crazy Hints

Chapter 247 Ravenclaw's Crazy Hints

Rice shifted his hips, finding a more comfortable position to make sure his back wouldn't hurt too much from the tree branches.

"Hey, you can't see it here!" However, when Rice changed his posture, his large wizard robes covered the crystal ball, which provoked Ravenclaw's protest.

"Okay, okay, can you see it now?" Rice readily complied, securing the crystal ball to the tree trunk to ensure that Ravenclaw in the dungeon could have a sufficiently wide field of vision.

"That's more like it... Hey? That necklace was the one you gave to that child, wasn't it? The spell attached to it is quite powerful."

"It's almost as powerful as a wind blade you casually unleash, isn't it?"

"Comparing me to you is really unnecessary," Ravenclaw's voice came from the crystal ball. "To be able to create magical items of this caliber, Salazar, you've clearly put a lot of effort into it!"

Rice smiled but didn't say anything.

"Daphne should have solved the puzzles in the booklet I gave her, right? She's had it for so long, if she hasn't studied it carefully, Salazar, you'd better keep an eye on her."

Rice: ...

He knew it! Ravenclaw was up to something. Unfortunately, there was no escaping it.

He hummed in agreement twice, then naturally continued the previous topic: "You don't seem to have equipped Granger with any magical items for self-defense? Indeed, your resources are limited, and it's inconvenient to send out finished products. How about I make her a magical item for self-defense?"

"Thank you so much." Ravenclaw's tone was calm and composed, as if he had expected it all along.

"Oh?" Rice's attention was drawn to the children's new activity: "Daphne has finally found the spiders' weakness."

"Fire, a wise choice." Ravenclaw was quite impressed with Daphne's quick thinking.

If she continued to foolishly use spells to fight the eight-eyed giant spiders, she would have to start thinking about how to end this assessment in a dignified manner.

"What kind of animal is this? I've never seen one before." The octopus spider, this amazing creature, piqued Ravenclaw's interest.

"A new species developed by wizards." Rice gave Ravenclaw a brief introduction to the dangerous yet precious magical creature, the Octopoda.

"This looks like it's to your liking." Ravenclaw smiled knowingly after learning that the venom of the Octopod Spider was an extremely valuable ingredient for potions.

"This creature seems to be very vulnerable to basilisks?" Ravenclaw discovered another weakness of the eight-eyed giant spider.

"That's right, the unobstructed view brings so many benefits, but it also comes with some burdens." If Daphne understood Parsleyan and went to the secret chamber to summon the Basilisk, even the giant spiders scattered all over the floor wouldn't be enough for the Basilisk to kill. However, this only exists at the level of "if." Without Rice's authorization, the Basilisk wouldn't obey Daphne's orders.

As the two were talking, the giant spiders began calling out Aragog's name.

"Looks like the spiders are up to something again?"

"Oh?"

……

"Stop for a second." Daphne reached out to stop Hermione, signaling her not to set the spider nest on fire. The giant spiders' actions intrigued her, and she wanted to figure out what they were trying to do.

Her doubts were quickly answered: a spider, almost the size of an Asian elephant, emerged from the center of the huge spider web in the very center of the depression.

Its movements were very slow, and the hair on its body and legs was not black like other eight-eyed giant spiders, but grayish-black. Each eye on its terrifying head was covered with a layer of white film, indicating that it was no longer able to see.

"What's going on? I hear the wails of my descendants, smell blood and flesh, and sense the presence of magic—tell me, what happened?"

It can talk!!! Hermione and the other two were stunned. Having dealt with the eight-eyed spider for so long, this was the first time they had ever known that the eight-eyed spider could speak human language.

At that moment, Harry also descended from the sky and landed next to Astoria.

"That's spectacular," he exclaimed, then looked at Daphne, wanting to hear what her next plan was.

"Let's see what that giant spider is up to first." Daphne's idea was to hold back for now, since they were in the lead anyway.

After Aragok spoke, the huddled giant spiders stirred, and then one of the larger spiders answered Aragok's question: "Many people, several people, attacked us!"

"A person?" Aragog looked up blankly. "Is it Hagrid? He won't attack us."

"No, it was strangers who suddenly appeared, killed several of their kind, and even set fire to the area outside their home!" As the giant spider spoke, its large claws opened and closed repeatedly, making a clicking sound. As its tone became more intense, the speed at which its claws opened and closed increased, and the clicking sound became more rapid.

Aragog breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that the humans who attacked them were not Hagrid—it would have been in a very difficult position if Hagrid had come to slaughter its offspring.

If it weren't Hagrid, things would be much easier.

Just as Aragog was about to order the intruders to be torn to shreds, it heard the word "fire" from its offspring.

"Fire? Tell me more." Aragog became serious; it knew what its lair feared most.

The spiders informed Aragok of their current predicament.

Aragog fell silent. After a moment, it slowly said, "Take me to see those people."

After he said that, the surrounding spiders became restless again. They were uneasy, thinking that Aragog was taking too much of a risk.

But Aragog held extremely high prestige within the giant spider clan, and no spider could change its mind. So, a few minutes later, surrounded by its many offspring, Aragog trudged heavily to the edge of the depression.

Even after losing his sight, Aragog could still feel the presence of flames from the scorching heat wave upon arriving here.

"Outsiders, why did you attack my offspring? Why did you set our home on fire? For all these years we have kept our promise, never venturing out of the Forbidden Forest, nor harming humans." Amid the cracking sounds of the giant claws, Aragog demanded angrily.

However, although its tone was harsh, its posture was very humble, completely standing on the side of the victim and being in the right, which surprised Daphne and the other three.

Hermione, struggling to avoid looking directly at Aragog's horrifying face, stepped forward and mustered her courage to say, "A wicked monster lurks in your lair."

"That's how it is," Daphne added from the side, telling Aragog the whole story about the existence of the black mist.

Aragog fell silent.
