Chapter 493 If it were Salazar Slytherin, that would make perfect sense.

"The underworld, the evil spirits have returned..." Bones felt dizzy, and the joy of Voldemort's destruction had vanished.

Now he needs to know what evil spirits will do when they return from the underworld.

"Kill." Helga's expression turned extremely serious.

"The underworld carries the souls of powerful beings who died in the past. Although the seal between this world and reality has been broken, the barrier remains. To cross this barrier, one must pay a price," Helga explained to the two. "Evil spirits paid a price to return to the mortal world, so they must find a way to replenish the spiritual power they lost in crossing the barrier. The fastest way to replenish spiritual power is through killing. By killing, they absorb the souls of their opponents to replenish themselves."

Besides restoring their spiritual bodies, they can also reshape their physical bodies or find a body to possess, thereby achieving resurrection.

Upon hearing the evil spirits' purpose, Burns and Dumbledore felt a chill run down their spines.

Now they understood what the world was about to face.

Will these evil spirits returning from the underworld abide by the secrecy laws? Most likely not, which is why Professor White said the secrecy laws will face comprehensive and systemic destruction.

Bones felt his hands trembling uncontrollably.

"I will do everything I can to protect Hogwarts." Helga's statement reassured Borns a little.

This woman is, after all, an ancient wizard, and she just helped Professor Dumbledore suppress the mysterious man. Burns has a lot of confidence in her.

However, wizards can also be attacked, as many wizards actually live among Muggles. But in these "supernatural events," wizards clearly have an advantage over ordinary Muggles.

"And this might not be an opportunity for the magical and non-magical worlds to reconcile and integrate," Dumbledore said, uttering words that surprised both Bones and Helga.

Borns was surprised by the merging of the magical and non-magical worlds.

Helga was surprised that Dumbledore's words coincided with those of her two old friends.

Just then, after discussing the major events of the return of the underworld, the chaos caused by evil spirits, and the merging of the two worlds, Dumbledore felt as if he had overlooked something important.

A few seconds later, he slapped his forehead and immediately turned to look at Helga.

"Professor White, where is Mr. Gryffindor?" Dumbledore asked seriously.

Since that "Godric Gryffindor" claims to be the leader of the Secret Order, then why would the Secret Order monks attempt to attack Hogwarts?

How could Dumbledore believe that he was the founder of Gryffindor when someone could pull off something like this?

To be fair, Dumbledore thought it would be more believable if he claimed to be Salazar Slytherin—Slytherin, harboring resentment after being expelled from Hogwarts by the other three founders, secretly founded the Secret Order. A thousand years later, he returned to Hogwarts intending to destroy it and take revenge on the other three founders.

That makes perfect sense!

Of course, he only dared to think these words in his heart, but he could never say them out loud, because saying them out loud would definitely offend someone to death.

"He is Loki in disguise, one of the remnants of the Norse gods. Loki possessed Godric Gryffindor and took over his body, which is why the ghosts couldn't see through the deception."

"His purpose in infiltrating Hogwarts was to break the seal." Helga revealed almost all the facts, leaving Dumbledore and Burns dumbfounded once again.

The two felt that the ten-minute conversation they had today had a greater impact than all the shocks they had experienced in their entire lives combined.

During his conversation with Professors White and Arias, he had heard of Ragnarok and knew that the four founders of Hogwarts were the ones who brought Ragnarok to the gods.

"And where is he? So Mr. Gryffindor is—" Burns couldn't help but press.

"They've been sealed away. Gryffindor's condition is unusual; they're not dead, but they're not." Helga answered almost every question Bones asked.

"That's good." Burns breathed a sigh of relief, but then realized something was amiss: How did Professor White know everything?

However, considering that she came from ancient times, Borns felt relieved.
