Chapter 279 The Destroyer

Tavern.

Everyone's face was etched with worry.

Kendra looked at Gino and said, "The situation is terrible. Those Dark Knights have taken over all the important cities."

"One of them, called Killing Machine, wreaked havoc on Detroit with a bunch of nano Alfreds."

As Kendra spoke, he took out his phone from his pocket and played the video.

On the phone screen, a group of men dressed in suits and ties wandered around the city.

But what's even more terrifying are the deformed and twisted arms of those guys, revealing the grotesque electronic circuitry inside.

They repeated the words "What can I do for you?" while carrying out a merciless massacre of the people around them.

"A nano terrorist," Gino said, squinting.

The moment he awoke, he tried to contact the singer, but failed.

This suggests that the singer may also be imprisoned and unable to utilize the power of technology.

Gino stroked his chin, listening to Kendra continue his story.

"A dark knight named Red Death Bat created a speed storm in Midtown, and within seconds no one was spared in its wake."

The phone continued playing the next clip.

In a city filled with yellow sand and black and red lightning, the faces of every pedestrian on the street aged at a visible speed, eventually turning into skeletons.

Kendra sighed and said, "More cities will fall tonight. The Dark Knights will build those towers every time they conquer a new place."

"A human conductor of dark energy."

"Every minute and every second, the human tower is getting bigger."

"So," Gino raised an eyebrow, "they intend to use these people to spread dark energy, thereby corrupting our multiverse, is that right?"

"That's right, that's their plan."

"And we need to hurry, the Dark Knights have never given up searching for us."

As Kendra recounted the events, Gino gradually learned what had happened.

"I think I understand."

The boy lowered his eyes, and he could feel everyone subtly looking at him.

Everyone was eagerly awaiting his every word.

"Rest assured, everyone, under these circumstances, I can assure you." Gino slowly stood up, his gaze gradually hardening: "I will thwart Barbatos's plot and bring our loved ones back."

"Now, everyone evacuate from here."

Gino gently waved his hand, opening a stable multiverse passage, and watched as everyone walked into the multiverse passage, heading towards Constantine's mysterious house to hide.

After everyone had left, the boy closed his eyes slightly, and the authority from Lucifer surged in his chest.

He could sense something approaching him at an extremely fast speed.

"Buzz~"

Crimson magical energy surged.

A thick magical spatial portal appeared in Gino's field of vision.

"Thump, thump~"

It sounded like a heavy object stepping on the floor.

The wine glasses on the bar counter were also trembling.

Gino stared at the massive figure emerging from the passage.

A burly, grey-skinned monster that bears a resemblance to Doomsday.

But the bat pattern on his chest, which looked like it had been pierced by claws, revealed his identity.

The tattered black cloak behind him swayed in the breeze.

The monster opened its mouthful of yellow teeth and let out a low, twisted laugh: "What kind of fool would befriend a hypocrite like Superman?"

The monster panted heavily: "By order of the great Barbatos, I shall take your life."

"Shut up, you lapdog of the evil god," Gino scoffed. "What kind of idiot would inject themselves with the Doomsday Virus?"

He crossed his arms, racking his brain for information about the other party, and stared at the monster with a cold smile, saying, "Destroyer, I know you. You made the whole world pay for killing Superman."

"Shut up!"

It seemed that Gino's words had exposed the monster's secret, for it opened its mouth wide and roared, releasing thick green kryptonite smoke.

"Whoosh!"

Its enormous form resembled a giant elephant galloping across the wilderness; its massive size and ferocious face were enough to give anyone who saw it a nightmare.

Its massive body, combined with its extreme speed, created a whirlwind of energy. Sharp nails stood upright, like blades, aiming to stab at Gino's chest.

"Snapped!"

The boy clenched his fists and charged forward.

A tremendous force struck, and Gino grabbed the monster's wrist and slammed it over his shoulder.

"Bang!"

The massive body slammed into the floor, shattering the wooden planks, but clearly, this attack couldn't possibly injure the monster.

It roared and leaped up like a carp, its originally small eyes now glowing with crimson beams, as it hurtled towards Gino.

"Heat vision".

Gino chuckled: "Are you the only one who can do that?"

As he spoke, his eyes also lit up with an eerie red light. Two beams of intense heat, the same as the sun, collided with each other, and the resulting high temperature crackled as if it were about to ignite the air.

"Pathetic ant, is this all the strength you have?" The Destroyer opened its mouth and let out a grotesque laugh.

"Oh, since you say so."

Gino tilted his head, a wicked smile spreading across his face: "So many people won't be a problem, will they?"

"Um?"

Before the ravager could react, the next instant, Gino Luther's body, which had been pinned to the corner by his fist, exploded.

Yes, it exploded in a physical sense, like a swarm of butterflies shimmering with dazzling light and scattering in all directions.

Immediately afterwards, the previously empty bar was filled with hundreds of Ginos, who shouted in unison, "As you wish!"

"Buzz!"

Hundreds of crimson beams suddenly roared and slammed into the ravager's massive body.

What terrified the monster even more was that every beam of light had the same power.

"What are you? There's no such monster as you in my universe!"

The Destroyer, this enormous monster, now had a look of fear in its eyes.

Kryptonians have incredible physical abilities and powerful magic. Why don't we have people like them in our world?

If so, his world wouldn't be destroyed!

"Ugly thing."

There was no response to the ravaging man's frenzied roar; instead, countless Ginos simultaneously extinguished the burning gaze in their eyes.

Then, under the gaze of the ravagers, they slowly raised their fists.

A dreamlike, iridescent seven-colored light from the dream realm covered his fist.

"Not long ago, I sent something similar to you into my dream."

"And now."

Gino smiled and tilted his head, asking, "Can you sleep?"

"You!" The ravager had realized the seriousness of the situation.

The Doomsday virus had dulled his mind, and he shouldn't have been so arrogant as to confront this young enemy without any understanding of the situation.

Now, it's time for him to pay the price.
