Chapter 190 God is a woman

After leaving the hotel room, Thomas walked down the corridor to the elevator lobby and stood in front of the mirror on the wall, carefully examining the person inside.

He's clearly a handsome guy, but Allen doesn't even notice him!

So what if my hairline is a little receding, my hair is a little thinning, and my forehead is a little big?

He was actually looked down upon by a woman in her fifties!

Thomas took the elevator down to the lobby on the first floor, and after a moment of consideration at the rest area, he realized that he had spoken too confidently before and it was not appropriate to tell Martin how to make amends.

The casting director Allen's demands were not unreasonable; they were quite common in the industry.

In Hollywood, this is an open secret, and nobody will say anything.

Thomas took out his phone, scrolled through his contacts, saw Bruce's contact information, and called him: "It's important, let's meet."

Bruce asked, "Where?"

Thomas gave the address and told them to wait patiently.

A dozen minutes later, Bruce entered the hotel and sat down across from him.

Thomas cut to the chase: "Martin's plans have run into a bit of an unexpected situation. Casting director Allen, who was supposed to accompany Scorsese to Boston, has asked us to provide some special services, special services for celebrities."

Bruce, knowing Martin's plan, asked, "Are you going to have Martin go himself?"

"No need for that, just any celebrity who can pique her interest will do," Thomas said simply. "I was originally prepared to personally fawn over her, but she doesn't even look at me."

Bruce grasped the key point in her words: "Kowtowing?"

Thomas nodded. "Literally." He asked, "Should we notify Martin?"

Bruce became Martin's manager, but he couldn't offer any advice on film selection; he was essentially just a cleaner in the entertainment industry.

"No need, we'll handle this." Old Brooks had gained some experience through his dealings with Kim Kardashian: "Martin gives us a cut so we can solve these kinds of problems. If Martin has to do everything himself, what are we supposed to do?"

Upon hearing the term "sycophant," Bruce immediately thought of his trump card and unleashed it, dialing Mene's number: "Something's come up; I need you to use what you do best."

Menez, ever the know-it-all, said: "Old Bu, just tell me, who should I fawn over?"

Bruce told the hotel, "Come over here first."

Thomas asked, "Who are you looking for?"

Bruce simply stated, "Menée, Paris Hilton's former lover, the man she now desires but cannot have!"

Thomas certainly knew Menez, a hot topic created by Martin, who became famous throughout the United States through Paris Hilton.

Bruce asked, "Is Menez okay?"

Thomas opened his phone and sent a text message: "Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend, Menez."

The immediate response was, "Sure!"

Thomas nodded to Bruce.

A text message beeped on my phone; the person on the other end seemed impatient: "When are you arriving?"

Thomas replied, "Soon."

The hotel was very close to Warner Bros. Studios, less than ten minutes away, and Menez arrived quickly.

Bruce gave a brief explanation of the situation.

"A woman in her fifties, a casting director, who loves being fawned over." Menez's arrogance immediately rose: "Who in all of Los Angeles is more suitable than me? Old Brooks, leave it to me!"

Bruce patted him on the shoulder: "You don't need to tell Martin about this."

Menez nodded: "For Martin, I'd be willing to sweet-talk every middle-aged and elderly woman in Los Angeles, one after another."

Thomas told him the room number.

Menne took out a breath freshener, sprayed it several times, and went upstairs alone.

Take the elevator to the tenth floor and knock on the corresponding room door.

The door opened from the inside, and a Caucasian woman in her fifties appeared. She glanced at Menez briefly and then pulled him inside.

Originally, Allen just wanted to try it out.

In less than half a minute, she was singing with a face full of surprise, feeling as if God was a woman!

Downstairs, Bruce and Thomas waited and waited, but Menez did not come down for a long time.

Thomas worried, "Won't something unexpected happen?"

Since being caught fishing, Bruce felt that Mene was much more composed than before, saying, "If something had happened, Mene would have been kicked off the boat long ago."

The two waited for nearly three hours before Mene came downstairs.

Compared to when he went up, his lips were a little redder, and he spoke with a slight lisp: "I... I've got it done."

Bruce took a bottle of water and handed it to Mene: "Have some water."

Menez waved his hand: "No need, I can't drink anymore."

Thomas asked, "What exactly happened?"

Menne said, "After Ellen went to Boston, she would tell me about her schedule every half day, and she would speak up for Martin during the auditions." He chuckled, "And another thing, Ellen would recommend me for one of the black police officer roles."

Thomas was prepared for what he'd said before, but the last sentence was completely unexpected: "You also got a role?"

Mr. Menez, in high spirits, said, "I made her fly up to the sky to be God three times in a row. She solemnly promised me and asked for my contact information. She gave me her contact information so she could contact me in the future."

Thomas had nothing to say except that the person was exceptionally gifted.

Bruce said, "Good job, man. I'll suggest Martin take you to Boston to experience police life."

The three went to Warner Bros. Studios, where Bruce briefly explained the situation to Martin.

That evening, Martin hosted a dinner party at the Smoke House, where everyone could order whatever they wanted.

Two days later, Menne received a message from Allen, and WMA had also communicated with the Boston Police Department.

Martin, Mene, and Bruce took a flight to Boston.

Whether it's the LAPD, APD, or BPD, regardless of the actual situation, they all pay great attention to their public image and have dedicated media and public relations offices.

They welcomed the two Hollywood actors, Martin and Menez, to experience life in the city.

Sheriff John, the head of the public relations office, even accompanied the two on a tour of the police station.

Martin spoke highly of BPD, showering him with compliments.

Sheriff John beamed. This recently popular Hollywood star had no airs at all and was very easy to get along with.

At the end of the day's visit, Martin invited Sheriff John and several of his colleagues out for a meal.

Sheriff John couldn't refuse their hospitality.

Martin specifically asked Bruce to book a high-end restaurant.

After the meal, they took a group photo. Martin obliged all the civilian police officers who wanted to sign autographs or write messages for their children.

Sheriff John was very impressed with Martin and personally drove them back to the hotel.

"Mr. Davis..."

"Martin, call me Martin." Martin deliberately sat in the passenger seat.

John, driving, said, "If you need anything, just tell me. As long as it doesn't violate the rules, I'll try my best to arrange it for you."

Martin stated directly, "I'm preparing for a role as an undercover detective. I wanted to visit your police academy a few days ago, then follow the patrol officers around, and spend the rest of my time at the undercover police department."

John readily agreed: "No problem, I'll communicate with the relevant departments."

They arrived at the hotel quickly. He stopped the car and said, "Martin, your Boston accent is quite good; it sounds very Bostonian."

"Really?" Martin looked delighted. "I've been practicing it. It's one of the most charming accents in North America."

John, a native Bostonian, laughed: "Yeah, the Boston accent is the sexiest."

Martin and his two companions got out of the car and waited for John to drive away before entering the hotel.

Menez's phone beeped with a text message notification. He quickly took it out to check and, after entering the hotel, said, "Director Scorsese will be in Boston in five days."

Martin nodded, and the three of them went upstairs together to find the various relevant documents they had brought.

He handed a copy to Menez: "Take a good look, it will be helpful to you."

The information is about the BPD and Boston gangs; it was collected specifically for Martin by the WMA.

Martin quickly came across an Irish mob boss in the file named Bulger, who had been an FBI informant and colluded with the BPD and state police in drug trafficking, murder, and terrorism, among other things. He was currently on the run.

Bulger's experiences are very similar to those of the main villain, Frank.

Unlike others, Bulger has remained on the wanted list since his escape in 95 and has yet to be brought to justice.

His older brother is the Speaker of the Massachusetts Senate.

Martin thought these materials might be useful, so he made a special note of them.

…………

Warner Bros. Studios building in Los Angeles.

The Infernal Affairs studio is located inside the building.

In the conference room, Leonardo asked, "Once March arrives, we'll officially begin auditions. Do you have a suitable candidate for the second lead role?"

Scorsese shook his head: "I don't have one yet, I'm not in a hurry to confirm."

Warner Bros. executive Daniel stated directly, "I recommend Martin Davis."

A representative from Plan B, recalling Brad Pitt mentioning it, chimed in: "Martin Davis's three films have been consecutive successes, and his latest, The Hills Have Eyes, has also garnered critical acclaim for his acting."

Leonardo nodded when his friend Kate mentioned this man: "I've met this Martin Davis, he's not bad."

Louise has already finalized the investment, and her stance is very clear: "Pacific Films strongly recommends Martin Davis."

Scorsese's gaze swept over them, showing some curiosity about Martin Davis.

So many people recommend Martin Davis?

He didn't see it from behind the scenes, but he had heard about the related news, and it seemed that the North American box office was heading straight for $1 million.

Doug, a representative from Dyson Pictures, another major investor, said, "I recommend Matt Damon."

Another Warner Bros. executive said, "I think Matt Damon is a better fit than Martin Scorsese. His acting has been proven in over a dozen films, he has a large fan base, and the Ocean's series and the two Bourne films have proven his box office appeal. And importantly, Damon is from Cambridge, Massachusetts!"

Louise glanced at Scorsese, but he still didn't respond.

Scorsese had the final say on casting the main actors. After failing to win an Oscar for "The Aviator," Scorsese returned to his forte and was in no hurry to make a decision.

The fact that candidates can be recommended here means that they all have financial backing.

Louise wasn't surprised that someone recommended Matt Damon; even without Damon, there would be others vying for Scorsese's project.
