America achieves both fame and fortune
Chapter 213 is terrifying.
Chapter 213 is terrifying.
"Zoo has introduced favorable policies to vigorously promote the film and television industry, and I have achieved success. Naturally, another faction will not give up this piece of the pie." As Kelly was speaking, Louise pulled out a pink water bottle from somewhere and gestured with it in front of Kelly.
Kelly glared at her and said, "Taylor Perry is one of their public agents."
Martin immediately understood: "It's not simply about revenge; it involves business competition and higher-level politics."
Louise continued, "Even if that black man wanted to do it, would others support him if there was no benefit to him?"
Kelly asked Martin, "Do you think he's got his eye on you?"
"It can't be my imagination." Martin had mentioned the driver before, and this time he specifically brought up Kelly: "The Methodists are old friends of ours."
Kelly suddenly looked down, bit the straw from the water bottle in Louise's hand, and took a few sips of water.
Louise knew Martin to some extent: "Having done so many bad things, he's always worried about getting messed with."
Martin didn't deny it, but his statement was more interesting: "I'm one of yours, and I'll only willingly let you mess with me."
Kelly and Louise both giggled.
The former is not only being provocative, but also considering things: "They might be using you as a breakthrough point."
Martin shared this suspicion, saying, "They really know how to pick their targets, always bullying honest people." He looked at Kelly, "I don't understand those upper-class business dealings or politics, so I can only rely on you."
Kelly, who had been thoroughly investigated, would never believe such nonsense. She said, "We'll stick to the old ways. I'll handle the high-end, and you handle the low-end."
Martin, having achieved his goal, asked, "How low?"
Kelly just smiled but didn't answer. Instead, she said, "We're not isolated individuals, and neither is Taylor. He won't make a move without sufficient preparation and confidence. Don't be too hasty either; you might end up getting messed with instead of the other way around."
She thought for a moment and said, "You can be bait that bites back at any time."
Martin had a plan in mind: "I'll film you cutting the wires."
Kelly laughed: "That depends on your performance."
"Alright, now that we've talked about our worries, it's time to do something fun." Louise threw down the water bottle, hugged Kelly tightly, and bit her.
Kelly turned back, her eyes pleading for help. She briefly broke free from Louise's grasp and cried out, "Help me!"
When the female CEO cried for help, Martin, an American hero, rushed to her aid without hesitation, even though he had just fought a fierce battle that afternoon.
The following morning, Martin failed to wake up on time.
Fortunately, he didn't have any scenes to film in the morning.
A continuous series of attacks is terrifying, since there's always one enemy who can rest.
Martin, despite his strength, was exhausted and powerless.
I ran into Julie while I was having dinner at a restaurant.
Julie said softly, "Teacher, I have a few questions I'd like to ask. Could you come to my room and teach me after dinner?"
Martin was now full of confidence and unmoved by any temptation. He casually grabbed an excuse: "I have something important to do in Marietta later, I don't have time."
Yesterday, Lily called him and invited him to dinner.
Martin readily agreed.
Julie nodded and said, "I'll wait for you at the tow truck after work this afternoon. It's a deal."
Martin then headed toward the seafood section of the buffet, where there seemed to be oysters.
After having dinner and resting for a while, Martin drove a film crew car to Marietta.
Bruce followed at a distance.
Martin deliberately spun around twice.
Bruce didn't find a tail behind him.
As it was almost time for school to let out, Martin drove to the vicinity of Marietta Middle School and parked his car diagonally opposite the school gate.
Not long after, Lily emerged from the school, surrounded by seven or eight girls.
"I have something to do today, you guys go ahead." She found Martin's car, strode over, knocked on the passenger window, opened the door and got in.
Martin pointed to the school gate: "Are you the boss?"
Lily's nose was practically pointing to the sky: "Don't even mention those bitches, I can take care of any boy I want."
"You have the money to treat us?" Martin started the car, preparing to head to Rosario Restaurant in downtown Marietta.
Lily laughed and said, "I get a commission for selling stars, and those idiots with love-struck minds will obediently hand over their money just to spread a girl's legs."
There were many cars parked on both sides of the road in front of the school.
In one of the cars, Kyle clicked his tongue in admiration: "See that? Isn't it beautiful?"
Sitting in the passenger seat was a Black actor named Shelmer, who grew up in Atlanta and later worked in Los Angeles. He couldn't help but say, "His physique is no worse than Blake Lively's, and his face is much prettier."
Kyle angrily exclaimed, "Martin Davis is a bastard!"
Shelmer, a Black actor from South Side, asked: "Is Boss Taylor really going to take him down?"
Kyle nodded. "Are you scared?"
"Afraid? People from the South City don't know what fear is!" Shelmer didn't need to choose; skin color and background determined that Tyler Perry was his backer. "Martin Davis doesn't lack women. Does he really have this kind of fetish?"
Kyle had no idea that Lily had just gotten into Martin's car. He simply said, "Martin went to Los Angeles and has been in close contact with this girl. Don't forget, there's also Blake. Taylor asked April, the lead actor in the Denim Jeans movie, and April made it clear that his relationship with Blake was not normal."
He turned his gaze back to Shelmer: "Find a way to lure him into the game."
Shelmer shook his head: "I'm not in the same production crew as him, so I can't talk to him. He has a friend who's Black, but that guy's not quite right in the head; he's always hanging around a few middle-aged or older women..."
Kyle said, "It's not like you're being asked to act in these few days. The boss will give you plenty of time."
"Let me think it over carefully. I can't just force it." Compared to his compatriots in the South City who only knew how to loot and vandalize, Shermer was much smarter.
He thought about it seriously for a while, and suddenly remembered someone: "Someone who took the same acting training class as me in Los Angeles is an actor in Martin's film crew. He said he had a very good relationship with Martin. Maybe I can start with him."
Kyle asked, "Is it suitable?"
Shelmer recalled the guy's mentioned fetish: "I tried to get him hooked first; he's into young girls..."
Kyle understood and instructed, "Stay calm, take it slow, and don't disturb them."
"I understand." Shelmer glanced at the time and said, "Take me to the film studio. It's almost lunchtime. I'll have lunch with him."
Kyle started the car and drove away from Marietta.
Shelmer returned to the film studio just in time for lunch.
He easily found Pratt, that big fat guy, in the restaurant.
The two sat at a table and chatted while eating.
Shelmer deliberately steered the conversation toward Martin: "I heard that Martin and Julie were together yesterday?"
Pratt said, "You've been to quite a few film sets, and it's not uncommon for the male and female leads to get together."
Shelmer remarked with a hint of envy, "Being a celebrity is great; whether you sleep with men or women, you can always find the right one."
"Hey, buddy!" Parat leaned back warily. "You're not interested in men, are you?"
Shelmer said, "How could that be! I'm only interested in women." He sighed, "Unfortunately, I haven't been with a woman in a long time since I came here."
Parat sighed, "Me too, Atlanta is so unfamiliar to me."
Shelmer laughed: "There's an Atlantan sitting right in front of you. I'll take you out sometime when you have time."
"Okay!" Parat said beforehand, "Don't take me to any of those weird places."
Shelmer silently reminded himself not to rush: "Of course, it has to be a legitimate nightclub."
After finishing their meal, the two agreed to go out together after work in the afternoon.

Rosario Restaurant.
Lily devoured the fragrant roasted meat and asked Martin, "Are you really going to give Elena a house?"
"It's not a gift," Martin insisted, "I'm hiring her as a part-time saintess of the Cult of Cola, and the house is her part-time compensation for the next few years."
Lily swallowed the grilled meat in her mouth and offered herself up: "Why did you choose Elena? I'm younger than her, and more suitable!"
Martin glanced at Lily and said, "Just focus on your studies and don't think about anything else."
Lily muttered, "I want to be a saint."
Martin casually replied, "We'll talk about it when you get to college."
"What Elena can do, I can do too!" Lily's words were stuck in her throat, but she swallowed them back down because of the grilled meat in her mouth.
She's grown up; she's no longer that girl who swore all the time.
I also know that such people are not tolerated by mainstream society.
As for being unconventional? Lily glanced at Martin. She remembered very clearly that Martin had once discussed this with Elena, saying that he didn't like women with tattoos, piercings, or who were on drugs.
Martin asked, "Your sculpting is quite good. Would you like me to find you a sculpting teacher?"
Lily thought for a moment and said, "Let's forget about it for now, let's talk about it after I get accepted into university." She then asked with considerable interest, "Can I come see you on set this weekend?"
Looking at the beautiful girl across from him, and then thinking of the bunch of perverts on the film crew, Martin shook his head firmly. Besides, he didn't have time: "I'm leaving Atlanta the day after tomorrow to go back to Los Angeles."
Lily was quite surprised: "Leaving so soon?"
Martin explained simply: "A movie I starred in, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, is having its premiere this weekend, and I have to attend according to my actor's contract."
This film is already very famous because of the Burbank High School incident and Martin's connection to it, and Lily has heard of it too: "Okay, we'll talk about it when you get back."
After lunch, Martin drove Lily to school and returned to the film studio, where filming continued in the afternoon.
Most of the scenes shot in studio sound stages are interior shots.
A small number of scenes involving the streets of New York will also be filmed using the increasingly popular green screen technique, with the background replaced in post-production.
After finishing work in the afternoon, Martin and Julie got into the same trailer, and it was another special lesson between teacher and student.
Even though he was physically strong, he still felt a sense of dread about these women in their thirties.
During this time, Julie even encouraged Martin to call Louise or Kelly!
Martin wasn't out of his mind yet; he immediately turned it down.
As Martin prepares to return to Los Angeles, Julie will also be going back.
Most of her scenes are with Martin; she can't film if Martin isn't there.
The two decided to take the same flight back to Los Angeles.
