Chapter 224 If he's really dead, then it'll be released.
After raising their glasses in a toast, Justin introduced Martin to several high-ranking figures at Coca-Cola, such as Brody, who was in charge of the marketing department.
Martin's pleasant speech and excellent interpersonal skills left a deep impression on Coca-Cola executives.
Several senior executives were the first to leave.
As they walked, Joey from the Public Relations Department said, "I just asked some media friends, and they reacted very positively to this signing ceremony. Almost everyone thinks that Martin is the most suitable spokesperson for Coca-Cola at this stage."
Brody said, "I've seen the marketing department's outlook analysis for him. Martin's prospects are very good. He has an excellent personal and public image, and there are a lot of topics surrounding him, such as gossip, which can keep him in the spotlight for a long time."
Joey agreed: "It's actually a good thing that celebrities have a lot of normal gossip and scandals."
Brody slowed his pace slightly: "I've had an idea: could Coca-Cola create a long-term brand ambassador?"
Joey asked, "Like Nike with Jordan and Woods?"
"They're roughly similar, but there are some differences." Brody's idea is just a preliminary one, and it's hard to say whether it will succeed: "Entertainment stars are different from sports stars. Too many people who become famous in their 20s fall from grace in just a few years. I'm optimistic about Martin Davis, but that's all. I'll observe him for two years first."
Joey completely agreed: "Entertainment stars should be cautious."
The two went outside, got on an electric scooter, and returned to the office area.
After the party ended, reporters surrounded them. Elena and her brother went back to the hotel first, Martin got into Bruce's car, and just as they were about to leave, Julie got into the car.
"I'm going back to Los Angeles soon." Jolie's filming has finished, and she's going back to attend the premiere of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith": "I booked an afternoon flight specifically for your coronation ceremony."
She looked at Martin and said very seriously, "Teacher, I have a few questions to ask you."
Martin still had a conscience: "Go ahead and ask, classmate."
Jolie said, "I plan to formally inform Pitt of the breakup a month after the film's release."
Martin had no intention of interfering: "That's your prerogative."
Julie asked, "There's more and more sympathy for Aniston and criticism of me in the media right now. I'll definitely be under media fire when I go back. How should I deal with this? I mean, how can I maintain the buzz while minimizing the negative impact?"
"Remember what I told you?" Julie was the female lead in the wanted poster, and Martin hoped she would gain more influence: "Use the name of the United Nations to go to the Middle East or Africa, to those places where wars have just ended, to comfort the orphans there, and have the media you cooperate with follow you and report on it in a timely manner."
Julie nodded: "I've thought about it too, and you've solidified my belief."
Martin, being a good person, naturally offered a good idea: "You could also choose a suitable time and person locally to adopt another orphan."
These words struck a chord with Julie: "Great idea!" She asked Martin, "How about you be their father?"
Instead of directly refusing, Martin asked, "Do you think this is appropriate?"
Julie immediately realized that if Martin became the father of her children, it would mean he had to leave those women, so what was the point?
With the hotel in sight, Martin said, "I wish you great success with your film and a turnaround in your career."
Julie smiled and continued, "Thank you for your guidance, teacher. By the time you return to Los Angeles, I'll probably be in the Middle East or Africa. If I'm unlucky..."
Martin interrupted her: "Don't talk nonsense. People who follow the United Nations won't be in danger."
Julie joked, "If something really happens, you have to come and save me. If I die in the war, you have to find a way to bring me back."
Martin thought to himself, "You're just making things up. Luckily, this is reality, not a movie. In a movie, we could be preparing for a funeral in advance."
When the car arrived at the hotel entrance, Julie got out first and left.
Martin glanced at her, and an uncontrollable thought popped into his head: if Julie really died during a charity event in the Middle East or Africa, the movie "Wanted" would be an absolute smash hit.
Is there any better publicity than the death of the lead actor?
The lead actor kicked his leg, and the film made a fortune.
Martin was just thinking about this randomly.
Back in the room, Thomas knocked and came in, took a big gulp of water, and said, "I just received a notification from the company that the $400 million endorsement fee has arrived. After deducting the agent's fees, it will be transferred to you tomorrow."
This was the biggest sum Martin had ever made. He was so excited that he jumped up from the sofa and bumped fists with Bruce.
"Jesus God, Satan Judas!" he chuckled, adding incoherently, "Old Martin finally has enough money to buy a house and a car!"
Bruce was laughing too, partly because of him, and he couldn't help but wonder what gifts he should buy for Khloe... no, for Kim and Khloe.
A house? That's out of the question; he plans to mooch off Martin for the next few years.
After all, I promised to guard Martin's back, but how can I guard him if we don't live together?
Martin paced back and forth in the suite's living room, venting his excitement: "Find a modeling agency, I'm going to beat up a hundred female models!"
He then looked at Thomas: "Hey buddy, you're WMA's agent, do you know any Victoria's Secret Angels? I heard they have price tags? Get me a few in touch! AA, Lima, KK, Heidi, Lindworth, Bonson, anyone will do."
Thomas added, "Bonson is Leonardo's girlfriend." He cautioned, "I don't know if the others you mentioned have price tags, but to get them interested, you'd need at least a seven-figure sum."
Bruce tossed Martin a bottle of ice water: "Finished? Clear your head. If you're still not clear-headed, I'll go to the South City and find you ten black women, the five-hundred-pound kind."
Upon hearing this, Martin instantly returned to reality. This was terrifying!
"Old Bu, you're trying to murder me!" He unscrewed the bottle cap and gulped down a third of it in one go: "It feels so much better to get these restless emotions out in the open."
Bruce knew him well: "Ten black women aren't enough, I can find ten more."
The emotions stirred by the large sum of money subsided somewhat, and Martin shrugged: "Let's settle the properties in Los Angeles and Atlanta first, then we'll talk about other things."
He gave Bruce the middle finger: "Here's your reward—the plus-size black woman."
Bruce then asked Thomas, "Do you want some? It's free! You've worked so hard, you need to relax a bit."
Thomas is already tired enough carrying heavy loads, so adding ten more 500-pound loads wouldn't be relaxing, it would be deadly.
He quickly shook his head: "I can find a girlfriend."
Martin glanced at Thomas, whose forehead shone even brighter under the light.
But then I thought, if I'm successful as an agent, what about having a girlfriend?
Martin felt that Thomas needed a boost, saying, "Guys, we're still on the road, and we're still a long way from the summit. We can't be complacent with this little bit of income. There are still multi-million dollar rewards waiting for us in the future."
Thomas had already seen the hope of becoming a millionaire and was full of confidence in Martin's future: "I'm going back to Los Angeles tomorrow to find you new opportunities."
Bruce thought to himself, "This guy's good at finding female companions, but he'll definitely break up with every girlfriend he gets."
Thomas's phone rang at that moment. He answered it and spoke for a while before hanging up. He then said to Martin, "It's Jessica calling. Many of your fans watched the live stream or the video online, and the reaction is very strong."
Martin was prepared: "I'll contact Coca-Cola and have the commemorative Coke sent to several cities where fan clubs have been established."
Thomas stood up: "I'll contact them right away."
Martin walked him to the door and then made a phone call to Menez.
A few minutes later, Menez came up from the floor below.
Martin asked curiously, "I didn't see you this morning?"
Menez smiled sheepishly: "Doesn't the studio have three film crews? One of the crews has a female assistant producer who has been getting closer to me lately. I accompanied her out to run some errands this morning."
Bruce gave a thumbs-up: "Already working hard for the next job."
"Yes, she met someone on set. It wasn't the PD or the FBI agent who was fishing." Menne made a point of explaining, "She's not even 40 yet, so she has some influence on set."
Martin said, "You decide for yourself." He glanced at the time. "Let's go out for a drink, we should celebrate."
When Martin went downstairs, he called stunt performers Buck and Lewis, action director Chad, and others.
When the crew of the first two films were on break, they usually stayed in their rooms playing video games, and recently they have become obsessed with Counter-Strike.
The latter has recently drawn many sketches of action scenes.
When I came down, I took it and showed it to Martin.
Martin carefully examined it and said, "A continuation of the wanted poster story?"
Chad took a sip of his drink and said simply, "Didn't your studio buy the full rights to the comic book? If this film is successful, could Wesley's story continue? Of course, these are just my initial thoughts, and they're not fully formed yet."
Martin looked at the sketches and could only say that they were just sketches: "If you want to expand on this film, I support you. Actually, I have some ideas too, but it's not the right time."
He roughly said, "If the arrest warrant is successful, we'll be more mature with the film, and then we'll discuss it in more detail."
Bald Buck then said, "Break time, let's not talk about work. Come on, let's have a drink and congratulate Martin."
Martin raised his glass and clinked it with everyone's: "Cheers!"
Menez took the wine bottle and poured wine for everyone.
The group stopped talking about work and started chatting about random, interesting things.
The following day, Martin took half a day to accompany Elena and her three siblings to look at houses. They chose the community where Robert lived, located in Northville, a satellite city of Atlanta. The community's residents were mostly senior white-collar workers or executives of large corporations, and it had the best primary and secondary schools in Georgia.
The two-story detached villa with a small garden cost a total of $38, all paid for by Martin.
Elena plans to slowly repay her debts by working part-time as a saintess in the Cola Cult...
Martin specifically instructed her to host a housewarming party before the film crew left, inviting the community committee and neighbors, and that he would also invite some people to join in.
Happy Children's Day to all children and adults!
I'm going to school for an event this afternoon, so I'll only be posting two updates today.
