Chapter 238 Wedding Invitation

Chapter 238 Wedding Invitation

It was already completely dark. Apart from Nicholson and Leonardo, who were stubborn but otherwise incredibly soft-hearted, everyone else went up to the top deck of the yacht.

For two consecutive days, everyone had a great time, but they were also a little tired.

The dock lights were faintly visible when Heidi Klum suddenly came over to Martin, patted KK and Angela Lindwo on the backside, and the two immediately made room for her.

Heidi leaned against the railing and said to Martin, "I'm getting married next week, remember to come to the wedding."

Martin felt something was off about what he said; it seemed to have a strange undertone: "I'll be filming then, so I might not have time."

Angela Lindwall suddenly turned around with Carolina, winked at Martin with her foxy eyes, and said, "KK and I are both bridesmaids. Heidi is wearing a wedding dress, so we're wearing bridesmaid dresses..."

Martin immediately understood, and then looked at Heidi Klum, who gave him a meaningful smile.

The modeling world, especially the supermodels, is terrifyingly powerful...

If this gets discovered, they'll definitely beat him to death on the spot.

Martin, a nice guy, is very self-aware: "I need to check the shooting schedule. I might not be able to adjust it. I don't have much influence on the set."

Heidi Klum didn't press the matter, saying, "I'll keep that drum."

Martin nodded: "Whatever makes you happy."

Carolina asked, "What's the name of this game? It sounds like a tongue twister."

Martin explained with difficulty, "Chicken drum through flowers."

As the yacht approached the dock, the second deck was a mess. Leonardo had already contacted a professional team to clean it up, with Nicholson covering all the costs.

Those two guys are still lying in the cabin, and they haven't recovered yet.

Nicholson's situation is understandable, given his age.

But Leonardo is only in his thirties.

The ship's horn sounded, and the yacht quickly docked. Heidi Klum and a group of supermodels were the first to disembark and leave Long Island Marina under the cover of darkness.

After waiting for a while, Martin and his two companions finally disembarked.

Leonardo, having recovered, walked in front.

As Nicholson walked down, he suddenly stopped and swayed a few times.

Martin quickly grabbed him and asked, "Shall I call 911 for you?"

"We absolutely cannot fight!" Nicholson grabbed Martin's arm tightly. "Even if I die here, my reputation cannot be ruined."

Martin used a scoundrel's method to deal with the old scoundrel: "You have to pay me hush money, right? I can't control my mouth when I chat with my friends in the industry, like old lechers like Craven."

Nicholson finally understood; this little rascal still remembered the script meeting! He snorted coldly, "Don't expect me to help you get rid of people. I'm too old to handle this."

Martin put his arm around Nicholson's shoulder: "What's our relationship? Why would I betray you?"

With a burly man on top of him, Nicholson glanced at the seawater at his feet and said, "Don't worry, you and Matt Damon, I'm on your side."

Martin said dismissively, "It's just Damon. With Scorsese keeping things in check, can he really bring Weinstein over? Warner Bros. won't give that fat guy a second thought."

Nicholson said, "You little rascal, you've found the root of the problem."

Martin helped the old bastard off the ship.

Nicholson glanced back and said, "I'm getting old. I can't even handle Naomi Campbell by myself anymore. I have to admit I'm getting old."

Leonardo said, "Dude, you're outdated."

Nicholson gave him the middle finger.

The three had clearly grown closer, and Martin scoffed, "The 11-second guy has the nerve to talk about Old Jack?"

Leonardo immediately launched his signature three-pronged attack: a wink, a glare, and a roar: "Martin Davis, if you slander me again, I'll fight you to the death!"

Martin clapped his hands and got into a fighting stance: "Come on, Leo, stop being so stubborn."

Leonardo pointed at Martin: "No wonder Kate said you're an asshole. I swear, if I have another chance like this, I will never bring you along."

The wise Martin spoke with unusual firmness: "Being alone is just fine."

Nicholson, clutching his back, said, "You bastards, the car's here, let's go."

Bruce's van stopped by the pier. Martin and Leonard, being somewhat considerate, helped Nicholson to the car, got in, and returned to the hotel.

In the car, Leonardo asked, "I heard them talking about inviting you to Heidi's wedding."

Martin told the truth: "I declined." He didn't hesitate to back down when it was time to admit defeat: "I'm afraid of getting shot."

Leonardo DiCaprio said, "Actually, I wanted to attend the wedding."

Martin casually replied, "You could propose to Gisele Bündchen."

"Marriage? Are you kidding me!" Leonardo said seriously, "Although I love Gisele very much, she's 25 years old!"

"You really are loyal!" What else could Martin say but give a thumbs up?

Leonardo slapped the front seat: "Jack was married. What did he get out of marriage?"

Nicholson said in a wise and experienced tone, "From my own experience, I'm telling you, if you want to succeed in Hollywood, don't get married. Being single is always a plus."

Back at the hotel, the three of them didn't say anything more and went to their rooms to rest.

Martin slept very soundly that night, feeling as if he closed his eyes and opened them again, and it was already dawn.

Indeed, exercise is beneficial for sleep.

When Martin arrived on set, he came out after getting his makeup done. The crew was filming Nicholson's scenes.

"Stop!" Scorsese shouted, halting filming. "Jack, what are you thinking? This is work time, get your act together!"

Nicholson, who was quite diligent, replied, "Give me five minutes."

Scorsese returned to his director's chair and sat down.

A few minutes later, filming began.

Scorsese quickly called a halt again, circled Nicholson, and said, "You're in terrible shape. Don't tell me you spent the weekend messing around with women!"

"Absolutely not!" Nicholson said confidently, because he was the one being messed with these past two days.

Scorsese showed no mercy to his old friend: "If you don't get motivated, I'll have someone feed you performance-enhancing drugs!"

After the director left, Nicholson muttered, "When you get old, you have no rights. You get bullied by women on the ship, mocked by two little bastards after disembarking, and now you're having bad luck on set..."

He asked for a glass, went to the bar on set, pointed to a bottle of whiskey, and said to the extra playing the bartender, "Pour me a drink."

The extras didn't know how to react and looked to the director.

Scorsese said, "Pour him a full glass."

Nicholson took a sip of his drink, waited a moment, then patted his chest and said, "Let's begin."

Perhaps due to the alcohol, his condition returned to normal.

Martin exclaimed in amazement, "That works too?"

Leonardo DiCaprio, standing nearby, said, "He's always been an alcoholic and a jerk. A little alcohol is a catalyst for his performances. Many actors in the industry have this habit."

Martin nodded slightly: "No wonder Hollywood is full of drunkards."

"They all say you're very talented and get into character incredibly quickly," Leonardo said earnestly when talking about work. "How do you adjust when you're not in good form?"

Martin answered just as seriously: "Find someone you like and have sex with them. When you're in a good mood, the mood will naturally come."

Leonardo waved his hand: "That method won't work on me."

Martin shrugged: "Because you've had too many girlfriends."

After Nicholson finished filming his scenes with the Frenchman, the crew went on a break.

The three people who had been intimate together naturally ended up together.

Nicholson let out a burp: "It'll probably take two weeks to recover."

Leonardo said, "Naomi called me this morning and said that since you weren't answering her calls, she wanted to ask you out again."

Nicholson shook his head repeatedly: "No, no..."

Martin asked curiously, "Leo, I didn't expect you to still have contact with Naomi Campbell."

Leonardo DiCaprio, in a tone of advice to the younger generation, said, "It's good to change things up once in a while after eating the same dish too often."

When men get together, women are always a part of their conversations.

Fifteen minutes later, the crew resumed filming.

Martin and Leonardo will also be playing.

A scene where the two male leads clash without ever meeting face-to-face.

Colin arranged to meet Frank at the movie theater, but Billy followed them.

Completely different from the clean and tidy cinemas of Hong Kong films, the film set set built here was not only dirty and messy, but also showed those kinds of films.

There's no poetic or picturesque scene, just a realistic portrayal of gangsters.

That old bastard Nicholson even brought out his treasure chest, took out some special toys, and handed them to the staff on site: "You guys figure out how to make them look used or broken, and then throw them in the theater."

Several male staff members exchanged glances and subconsciously squeezed their legs together.

The female staff member looked at the rubber stick in her hand, considering whether she should find a place to make it look like it had actually been used.

Scorsese not only did not stop Nicholson, but also approved of his actions.

Bringing props when watching this kind of movie in a theater is perfectly normal.

Scorsese even gave Nicholson free rein to improvise in this scene.

As filming began, Martin pushed open the dilapidated theater door, entered the screening room, looked around briefly, found Nicholson, pulled down his hat brim, and quietly walked over to sit in the row behind Nicholson.

On the screen, a film about Saint-Gobain is being shown.

The old rascal, improvising on set, actually started hitting the screen...

He truly deserves to be called one of Hollywood's most twisted actors.

In this scene, Nicholson completely outshone Martin and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Nicholson yelled, then turned and whispered a few words to Martin before handing him a file folder.

Since the other party wasn't following the script, Martin could only improvise, "You didn't put it on top, did you?"

Nicholson grinned wickedly: "I'm too old, I'm out of stock."

Martin put away the file folder and said, "Next time, let's go somewhere else. There are too many perverts here."

Nicholson said in a low voice, "You need to learn to adapt. Given your situation, it won't be long before you become a psychopath yourself." He scoffed, "Either you're the one messing with others, or you get messed with. Which do you choose?"

Martin remained expressionless, yet his words reflected reality: "Of course, it's about messing with people."

He got up and walked towards the passageway.

"Stop!" Scorsese shouted. "Good, that's a good take."
