Chapter 251 Unforgivable!
Chapter 251 Unforgivable!
Early in the morning, Leonardo woke up in his Upper East Side apartment, glanced at the clock, and patted Sienna Miller's butt next to him.
"Get up, you lazybones," he urged. "Weren't you going to make me breakfast?"
Sienna, who had finally managed to woo this guy, immediately sat up: "I'm going right now."
A few minutes later, the two, having washed up, went to the living room and kitchen respectively.
Leonardo opened his computer to check emails, and habitually clicked on Google, only to find that "that bastard Martin" was the third most searched keyword in the entertainment section.
If you click on any of these links, the screen is filled with photos and gossip about Martin and Blake living together.
Looking at the comment sections of a few more web pages, they were filled with blessings from fans.
"You two are such a pair of scumbags." Leonardo DiCaprio, recalling his breakup with Gisele, gave the two of them the middle finger on the computer screen, offering his heartfelt congratulations: "Good luck with the breakup!"
Blake's previous film also did well at the box office, in which he played a couple with Martin. Coupled with his outstanding personal image, he also gained a group of supporters.
Leonardo DiCaprio also followed Martin's blog, and when he looked at it, he saw that Martin and Blake's confession had tens of thousands of comments.
This level of popularity is almost as high as when he changes girlfriends.
Looking at the social news section, there are tons of reports about Angelina Jolie.
Leonardo went to deal with emails, his mind still on Martin. With the male and female leads so popular, as long as the film quality is good, the commercial aspects should be guaranteed.
But the photos of Martin and Blake together just look awkward no matter how you look at them.
Leonardo picked up his phone and dialed Jack Nicholson: "You old bastard, did you see the news about Martin and Blake together?"
Nicholson said, "Of course, these past few days have been all about Los Angeles hero and his little fangirl. Beauty falls for hero? You and I both know Martin is a piece of shit. Think about what he did on the yacht, what's the difference between him and the beast? Fuck, beauty and the beast!"
Leonardo said very seriously, "That bastard betrayed us. He said he wanted to be a bachelor, fine! I broke up with Gisele, and what happened? He found a steady girlfriend. Unforgivable!"
Nicholson's biggest worry wasn't making things worse, but rather having nothing to do: "We couldn't get him in New York."
Leonardo said, "Go back to Los Angeles and get him! We have to make them break up. How can one of our men be in a woman's arms? I'm going back to Los Angeles and I'm going to throw a water gun party. You have to come. If you don't, I'll launch a hot air balloon in Los Angeles to hold up a banner for you."
Nicholson, recalling the firecrackers that nearly gave him and Meryl cramps, laughed heartily and menacingly: "I love messing with Martin the most."
Leonardo hung up the phone.
Sienna then came over from the kitchen area and called out, "Leo, breakfast is ready."
Leonardo made another call and asked his assistant to book a flight back to Los Angeles.
As for Sienna Miller, she's a good girl.
A few hours later, Leonardo DiCaprio entered Kennedy Airport with two assistants.
As he approached the security checkpoint, he received a call from Martin.
"Hey Martin, I'm getting ready to head back to Los Angeles." Leonardo smiled broadly, showing no trace of hatred for the traitor. "Filming's all done, and I'm planning to get back early to throw a party. You said you wanted to come, of course I'm taking that to heart!"
He emphasized, "I'll throw an even more fun party than last time, you absolutely have to come."
Because of the time difference, Martin had just joined Warner Bros. Studios: "Remember to come to the premiere of 'Wanted' at the beginning of November. I won't notify you again."
Leonardo first showed his assistant a rough schedule for next month, and said, "It's okay, I'll definitely cheer you on."
"Don't put up banners!" Martin solemnly warned. "Absolutely do not put up banners."
"Why would I use such low-level tactics?" Leonardo said as if he had never used them before.
Martin arrived at the wanted poster office and hung up the phone.
As soon as I entered, I ran into Thomas and Daniel.
The latter beamed and called Martin into the office, saying, "Hero saves the beauty, and the beauty falls in love with the hero who saves her—this gimmick is excellent, and it's generated a strong response online."
These melodramatic love stories, often reminiscent of prime-time dramas, always find a market, not just on television, but also among the general public in real life.
Even Blake Lively's new film, which is still in development, is attracting a lot of attention.
So many celebrities flock to hype up their relationships because it's one of the easiest ways to achieve a synergistic effect.
Thomas said, "You and Blake keep up the good publicity, go shopping together on Rodeo Drive this weekend."
Martin nodded slightly: "We're both fine."
Daniel proposed a hypothetical scenario: "Once the film is officially released, could you and Blake take things to the next level?"
Thomas chimed in, "They're already living together."
"Martin will propose to Blake publicly at the right time and in the right place." Daniel, who has witnessed the couple's daily interactions, said, "I don't think Blake will refuse."
He was thinking long-term: "We can hold an engagement ceremony when the next movie is released."
Martin politely declined, saying, "This pace is too fast. My mind and emotions can't keep up at all, and it's easy to cause problems. Let's talk about it later."
Daniel glanced at Thomas, and seeing that Thomas didn't try to dissuade him, he gave up on the idea.
He added, "For regular promotion, you mainly need to attend a few roadshows, screenings for media and theater managers, and an interview with WarnerMedia."
Thomas added, "The last interview with Ellen's talk show went very badly. The interview was on Helen's show, the one you saved at Burbank High School. She became famous because of the Burbank incident, and the talk show had extremely high ratings."
Martin replied, "Yes."
After discussing business, Martin and Thomas left the wanted poster studio.
As they walked along the sidewalk near the film studio, Jessica found them, and the three of them headed towards the ice cream shop together.
Jessica said, "Bradett just contacted me. He's willing to take on the adaptation of 'The Dark Area,' but he needs to study the novel carefully and have a detailed discussion with the original author, Alan Grylls."
Martin slowed his pace slightly: "No problem, you go with him to see Alan Grylls. After I finish dealing with the matters related to 'Wanted,' I will also talk to Bradt about the adaptation."
"Upfront costs?" Jessica asked.
Martin said directly, "Set up a brand new studio in your name or Menez's name, and the expenses will be paid by the studio. Doesn't this novel have a subtitle called 'Never Ending'? Call the project 'Never Ending' and the studio the same name."
"I'll go talk to Bradt right away." Jessica said hurriedly.
Martin entered the beverage shop, went to the counter, saw the familiar waitress, and said, "Mia, a green tea and a coffee, please."
Mia was collecting payments and had just finished processing Martin's order when her phone rang. She quickly answered, said a few words, and then told the supervisor next to her, "I have an important audition to attend."
The supervisor nodded: "Go ahead."
Mia turned around and specifically apologized to Martin: "I have an audition coming up..."
"It's alright." Martin waved his hand and sat down next to Thomas, who was carrying drinks.
In Los Angeles, where actors are the average person, this isn't the first time Martin has encountered a similar situation.
Thomas watched Mia walk away through the glass curtain wall and said, "Many Hollywood stars used to come from similar backgrounds."
Martin chimed in, "There are fewer now."
Thomas nodded slightly: "There are more and more actors like Blake in Hollywood."
Martin understood what he meant: "The children of celebrities in the industry have a natural advantage. It seems to be the same not only in the entertainment industry, but in other industries as well."
"It's becoming more and more common." Thomas, who comes from an ordinary middle-class background, feels this keenly: "Even if you don't have a good family, you still need to find a good godfather."
He took a sip of coffee: "As for Transformers, which I mentioned to you, Spielberg's godson got the lead role. That guy may not be famous, but he's known for causing trouble."
Martin asked, "What's the situation with Nolan?"
Thomas said, "I met with Nolan's wife and business partner, Emma Thomas, and recommended your information to her. She and Nolan have a good relationship and don't seem to have a habit of cheating or engaging in threesomes or group sex. I didn't involve Menez."
Martin said, "The audition director for The Departed introduced Menez to a new project, and he's been busy auditioning lately."
Thomas added extra sugar to his coffee: "Nolan's project is still a long way from casting, and this is all we can do for now. The British can be difficult to get along with sometimes, and doing too much can be counterproductive."
Martin knew very well that Nolan was a director who liked to use actors from the British Isles.
Australian actors may be ranked ahead of American actors.
Nolan's work is a long-term project, and also Martin's preparation for the future.
The following morning, Martin participated in the recording of an interview with Helen on WarnerMedia. Helen asked many sensitive questions, but she had communicated with Martin and Thomas beforehand to avoid catching them off guard.
The recording of the show went very smoothly, and Martin left the studio before 11 o'clock.
Just as he reached the door, a black sedan suddenly stopped in front of him.
Bruce, who was following behind Martin, immediately pulled him behind him and gripped the gun under his coat.
The driver's side window rolled down, revealing Julie's face. She waved to Martin, her tone ingratiating: "Busy man, can I get in? I've been waiting for you all morning."
Martin got into the car.
As Julie rolled up the window and accelerated, she said, "I've booked the hotel." She emphasized, "I didn't mean anything by it; it's just a student simply thanking their teacher."
Martin nodded slightly: "Let's go."
Julie asked, "Aren't you going to call Blake?"
Instead of making a phone call, Martin said, "Your hobby is quite peculiar!"
Instead of denying it, Jolie said, "I developed this psychological quirk when I was about 16 years old, when I stole my mother's boyfriend."
