Chapter 430 A Bite of Rice as a Reward

Chapter 430 A Bite of Rice as a Reward

As more and more people entered the Metropolitan Museum of Art, their attention gradually wandered, and they paid less and less attention to the trio of bastards.

Martin and his two companions encountered Meryl Streep and the sculptor Don Gummel and his wife.

After exchanging greetings, Nicholson stopped and chatted enthusiastically with the couple, seemingly discussing some artistic topic.

Martin didn't interfere, and as they walked, he asked Leonardo, "What do you think the three of them will talk about?"

Leonardo, shameless as ever, said, "Are we discussing who's on top and who's on the bottom?"

Martin shook his head: "Leo, there's something wrong with your thinking."

"The problem is with you!" Leonardo emphasized. "Don't use your low-level, idiotic thinking to speculate about the noble character of artists."

Someone greeted him from the side, and Martin smiled and replied. Then he saw a couple with excellent figures, nudged Leonardo with his elbow, and reminded him, "I've found your favorite. It's a pity she's moved on to someone else's arms."

Gisele Bündchen, wearing a red evening gown, is intimately arm-in-arm with a man who is taller than Martin.

"I saw it." Leonardo's voice sounded a little off: "New England Patriots' star quarterback Tom Brady."

He strode over there.

Martin, worried that Leonardo might get hurt, or rather, that he wouldn't cause trouble, quickly followed, adding fuel to the fire as they walked: "Leo, calm down. We're civilized people, don't fight. Even if Gisele is your love, you've broken up with her, it's normal for her to be with someone else."

Leonardo stopped and turned to look at Martin: "Are you afraid I won't get into a fight? You bastard, you're definitely doing it on purpose."

Martin, shameless as ever, showed no remorse for being exposed. Instead, he said, "I'll cheer you on and call an ambulance while I'm at it."

Leonardo felt that with that bastard Martin following him, he was bound to get into a fight with Tom Brady, so he nipped that possibility in the bud: "Don't follow me. There are so many beautiful women here, what's the point of you following a man like me? I'm worried people will misunderstand."

Martin shook his head: "For a woman, you'd abandon your brothers. You're just like Nicholson, prioritizing women over friends. Leo, I misjudged you."

Leonardo, get out of here and stay away from this bastard.

Martin sighed, watching Leonardo embrace Gisele Bündchen and then shake hands and chat with Tom Brad, knowing that the two wouldn't fight and would have to find other entertainment elsewhere.

Leonardo is so disappointing. He didn't use such a good punching bag and had to do this "you're good, I'm good, everyone's good" thing instead.

Martin saw Angela Lindwo and was about to go over and ask about KK when a girl suddenly appeared beside him and greeted him: "Hey, Martin."

The girl had golden curly hair, wore a white angel dress, and still had baby fat on her face. Her specially drawn arched eyebrows highlighted her pair of blue fox eyes.

She must have had special training; her fox-like eyes have a captivating quality when they move.

"I'm Taylor Swift, your fan!" Taylor may be young, but she knows how to navigate the entertainment industry, constantly creating buzz since her debut: "You guys were so cool today, you stole the show."

Martin wasn't familiar with the Western music scene; he only knew some well-known names, including Taylor Swift.

It wasn't her songs, but rather the rumors surrounding her.

Martin had read some articles about her. Taylor was not only talented, but more importantly, she or her team behind her had an exceptional ability to create hype.

However, what stands before him now is merely a rural scoundrel.

Taylor was very excited, like a little fangirl: "I've bought tickets to every single one of your movies to support you."

"Thank you," Martin said politely, adding as he walked away, "I've heard your songs; they're excellent country music."

Taylor followed closely beside him, looking confident: "You think so too? Many people say I'm extremely talented; besides singing, I also write my own songs."

Martin asked deliberately, "I heard you can write a song in just a few hours?"

Taylor proudly stated, "My fastest record is half an hour."

Martin nodded slightly, recalling the related rumors, and specifically said, "Could you write a song for me? Something about me."

"This..." Taylor hesitated, after all, what inspired her creativity was love, but what truly ignited was the breakup.

Martin said, "Difficult to write? Or are there other limitations? I don't mind."

Taylor scratched his head: "I'll think about it. Creative inspiration isn't something you can just come up with on a whim."

Martin further stated, "Tell me how to spark your creative inspiration, and I'll do my best to help."

Taylor had only been in this industry for a short time, and in terms of shamelessness, he was far less seasoned than Martin. Unable to say it directly, he could only say, "We can have more contact and get to know each other better; this will benefit my creative work."

Martin pulled out his phone: "Your private number?"

From the moment Taylor struck up the conversation, Martin firmly took control of the dynamic between them, and Taylor found herself unknowingly following Martin's lead.

Without thinking, she recited a string of numbers.

Martin dialed the number, but hung up after it connected.

Taylor opened her handbag, took out her phone, and saved Martin's number.

Martin said, "If you need my help to inspire your creativity, just give me a call, don't hesitate."

"Okay," Taylor asked tentatively, "Are you formally asking me to write a song for you?"

Martin thought for a moment and said, "I'm currently filming a movie about a killer's revenge. If your song is suitable, I can extend an invitation to you on behalf of the production team."

Country Taylor is still a fledgling pop star, far from being as popular as Busty Taylor. Taylor quickly said, "I'll discuss it with my agent and record company. As long as they have no objections, I'll visit your film set as soon as possible."

She then asked, "Where is the film crew located?"

"Brooklyn Studios." Martin then gave her the film crew's phone number from their on-set office: "The project is called John Wick."

Taylor remembered it well, didn't linger at the party, went out to call her agent, and rushed back to the hotel.

She is a very ambitious girl. Last year, when her album was on the charts, in order to get more recommendations from radio DJs, she made pastries by hand in every city she visited and sent them to the DJs to taste.

There are countless such thoughtful little touches.

Similar to Hollywood actors, talent and skill are merely the foundation for success.

After watching Taylor leave, Martin noticed that Nicholson and Meryl Streep were missing, and couldn't help but wonder what was going on in his mind.

Those artists have dirty hearts, unlike him who is so pure.

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio was chatting enthusiastically with Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady.

Martin was furious at their lack of ambition and couldn't bear to watch the show, so he went to find KK and Angela.

"Hey Angie, you look beautiful tonight." Martin hugged the old fox, then looked at Carolina and asked with concern, "Seeing you safe and sound, I can finally get a good night's sleep."

KK smiled and said, "You still have such a nice way of speaking."

Martin scrutinized her closely: "Are all the Victoria's Secret idiots blind? Where have you gained weight?"

Standing in front of him, KK looked thinner than anyone else, not even compared to Jennifer Aniston, let alone Kate Winslet.

KK also said helplessly, "That's just how this industry is, and I personally can't change it."

Angela also said, "Whether we are fat or thin, or whether our body shape is suitable or not, we have no say in it, even though we are the masters of our bodies."

KK was heartbroken; Victoria's Secret's termination of her contract was a huge blow to her career.

Martin opened his arms, and KK, ignoring the large crowd at the party, threw herself into his broad, warm embrace.

"It's okay, you can always change careers," Martin reassured her. "Even if you're just a pretty face in my movies, you won't be short of money."

Even though she knew Martin's words were just meant to comfort her, KK still felt much better.

Compared to the brands and companies that have terminated their contracts with her, and her so-called sisters who have distanced themselves from her, Martin is a really good person.

KK wiped the tears welling up in her eyes on Martin's silk coat and said, "If I really have nowhere else to turn, I will definitely come to you for help. It's not that time yet. I will try my best to come back."

Martin encouraged him, "Keep it up!"

Angela said from the side, "Martin, you have a conscience compared to those bastards."

Martin said, half-jokingly, "Because I'm only after your bodies."

KK playfully tapped him lightly: "Couldn't you let me be touched for a few more seconds?"

Martin put away his joke and said seriously, "If you want to do some cameo roles in the film industry and earn some extra money, feel free to come to me. There are definitely no leading or supporting roles, but other small roles with lines are no problem."

"You're so calculating," Angela said, hooking her arm around his. "You're definitely trying to use our names to create buzz and attract attention."

KK took Martin's other arm: "I've asked a few friends, and Martin isn't just an actor in Hollywood, he's also the owner of a film production company. Angie, for the sake of the future, shouldn't we try to curry favor with him?"

Angela lowered her voice slightly: "If you've thought about it, just say it. You don't need to make up reasons or excuses. I understand you, after all, your endocrine system is running high right now."

KK said, "The medical journal you showed me said that male genetic material can help women solve many problems. My condition doesn't seem like a problem on the surface, but it's actually quite troublesome. Martin's vitality is strong enough, so I want to give it a try."

Angela dragged Martin by the arm and led him outside: "Let's hurry, we still have one more night."

Martin, annoyed that the two of them were going on and on without even asking for his opinion, said, "I haven't agreed yet, okay?"

KK, who was slightly fuller than before, didn't care about any of that. She leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Angie and I are waiting for you to give us a bite to eat, please."

Faced with KK and Angela's sincere request, Martin couldn't bear to refuse, so he immediately took one of them in each arm and followed them back to the hotel.
