Chapter 519 Commander Nolan

Chapter 519 Commander Nolan

Putting a sleeping man into a large suitcase was no easy task. Even though Giselle and her two companions were four people, it took them quite a while to finally manage to stuff Professor Mordecai into the suitcase.

However, so far, everything is going smoothly.

She zipped up the suitcase, locked the combination lock, and glanced at her watch: "Ready to leave."

Giselle went behind the door, looked out through the peephole, and pressed her hand down behind her.

The two people pulling the suitcases immediately fell silent.

The female assistant pulled out a small handgun.

Gisele continued looking outside as Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy left the room and walked outside together.

She didn't find it strange that these actors often went out drinking.

After a short while, it became quiet outside.

Giselle withdrew her hand and was about to open the door when she heard hurried footsteps outside.

Through the peephole, Nolan's assistant's face appeared.

Giselle knew him; this man often followed Nolan around with a notebook, taking notes.

Then a knocking sounded on the door.

Giselle glanced back; her female assistant and two others were hiding in a spot out of sight by the door.

"Who is it?" Giselle asked.

The person outside said, "It's me, assistant director Anderson."

To avoid arousing suspicion, Giselle opened the door: "The professor just fell asleep, so I won't invite you in."

"So early," the assistant director muttered, then added, "Giselle, could you please tell Nolan that he asked me to inform the professor to arrive on set half an hour early tomorrow? The director has a new idea for the centrifuge scene."

A few days ago, Gisele nodded slightly: "Okay."

"Please." The assistant director left.

Giselle closed the door, turned around, and said, "It's nothing."

The female assistant was very cautious and specifically asked, "Has this happened before?"

Gisele nodded: "It's happened twice recently. Nolan is a very creative director, and he often comes up with new ideas on the spot."

Worried about running into other members of the crew, the female assistant said, "Wait a little while before you leave."

The room fell silent.

It was just as quiet outside.

Assistant director Anderson walked through the elevator shaft and turned into the emergency exit, a cold sweat breaking out on his back.

There were about a dozen people gathered there, and Nolan was at the corner of the stairs.

To create a major buzz, to attract more attention to the film, and to further boost box office success and the director's status, Nolan personally took charge this time.

He asked, "Anderson, what's going on?"

Anderson said, "The person is still here, but it wasn't Professor Mordechai who opened the door. Something must have happened."

This assistant was exceptionally perceptive. Nolan nodded slightly and said to the two security chiefs on set, "Four women, are you sure you can handle that?"

The director and producer promised a large bonus, and a security chief said, "There are more than a dozen of us, more than a dozen guns, and we've caught them off guard. They can't escape."

Another security chief was holding a tablet computer, observing the situation outside Professor Mordechai's room through a hidden camera placed by Anderson.

The others pulled out their pistols and inspected their weapons.

Nolan beckoned to the assistant director: "This is a very important task. You'll take the camera, follow them, and film the entire shoot. It's risky, but I won't force you."

Anderson thought to himself, "Director, you've already said it. If I refuse, I'll definitely lose your trust. Do I even have a choice?"

Climbing the ladder in Hollywood is incredibly difficult; the fastest way to do so is to work alongside those in power.

Anderson gritted his teeth: "Director, I'm fine. You can rest assured and leave it to me."

Nolan patted him on the shoulder: "I've always believed in your abilities."

Emma Thomas took out a DV camera and handed it to Anderson.

Anderson glanced at the dozens of burly men in front of him and accepted the order.

Nolan is a director with exceptional directing skills, and he has studied similar cases in order to make films like Batman.

…………

Upstairs in Martin's room, Menez opened a can of ice-cold beer and said, "Boss, how could you let Nolan have such a prestigious opportunity?"

He was considering the positive side: "Nolan and Emma definitely have the final say on the production team, but we can go with them, and then you and Nolan will be working together..."

Martin interrupted Menez: "No, this has nothing to do with us."

Menez still found it strange.

Martin added, "Our director has been waiting for a big event to attract the attention of movie fans worldwide. Nolan is no ordinary director. Now that I've told him, there's no need to steal the spotlight from him. Given my current situation, I don't need to seek the limelight anymore."

Bruce knew Martin better than Menez and never said much.

Menez drank half a can of beer and said, "Boss, you've thought things through more comprehensively than I have. I'll listen to everything you say."

Considering that Menez was the one who first discovered it, Martin still said a few words appropriately: "This has nothing to do with you. Don't tell anyone that you discovered it after you get out."

Menez scratched his head: "Boss, you're confusing me."

"Forget everything I just said once we leave this room." Martin, always loyal to his people, simply said, "The production team invited Professor Modica from the University of Casablanca because he has extensive knowledge of centrifuges. After this project is finished, the professor will be going to Tehran for an academic exchange."

Bruce is a poor student, and Menez is the worst of the worst.

Martin scoffed at the two idiots: "Can't you use any common sense? The little boy's raw materials need a centrifuge!"

Upon hearing this, Bruce understood, recalling Gisele and the female assistant's appearance: "They don't look Arab."

He was, after all, a soldier: "Mossad?"

Menez, being a Hollywood shopper, had naturally heard of this organization: "Them?"

Bruce said, "Mossad is very good at using honey traps. They've used them to seduce MiG-21 pilots, capture nuclear experts, and assassinate their arch-enemies..."

Martin added, "Maybe not." He smiled and said, "Director Nolan has been trying to make a big splash ever since I joined the crew. Let him have this opportunity."

"Even so, Nolan will at most be on the hoopoe's blacklist," Bruce said. "Then, it'll be difficult for Nolan's movies to be shown there."

Mene understood this time and said, "Boss, Old Bu, once you get out of this room, I'll sew your mouth shut."

Bruce grinned, "I'll kill them to silence them."

Menez deliberately crossed her arms: "I'm so scared!"

Martin glanced at his phone: "No message yet?"

…………

Inside the emergency exit, Nolan looked at another tablet, which displayed a floor plan diagram taken when he came down.

The security supervisor, who was watching the camera feed on the tablet, suddenly called out, "Director, the person is out."

Nolan quickly looked over there. On the screen, four women were pulling a suitcase out of the room and walking towards one side of the corridor, not towards the elevator.

As a director who has helmed realistic crime films, Nolan's mind works incredibly fast. He immediately glanced back at the floor plan and made his judgment: "They're going to take the freight elevator!"

The safety supervisor picked up the walkie-talkie and said, "Is the freight elevator still on the first floor?"

The reply came from the other side: "Yes!"

Nolan heard this too and ordered, "Go around to the freight elevator area and block them in the elevator shaft!"

The safety supervisor immediately led more than a dozen people downstairs, sprinted to the next floor, rushed into the safety passage next to the freight elevator, and saw that the freight elevator had just started going up from the first floor, so they quietly went upstairs.

Nolan was holding a DV camera and filming from a distance, clearly a director who wasn't doing his job properly.

Anderson followed closely behind these people, faithfully recording every scene with his camera lens.

…………

With the heavy suitcase at her feet, Giselle breathed a sigh of relief as the freight elevator ascended floor by floor.

The two women beside them relaxed slightly, realizing that the chances of being discovered were further reduced once they left the area where the guest rooms were located.

The female assistant kept her eyes glued to the elevator floor display.

Compared to the infiltration missions their female colleagues had undertaken, this one was relatively easy and simple to carry out. They captured Professor Mordecai without expending too much effort.

Tehran could no longer wait for centrifuge experts.

"There are two more floors in the freight elevator," the female assistant said. "Get ready to leave."

Giselle grabbed the handle of her suitcase, and the person next to her also grabbed it, as they needed to lift it up when going up the elevator.

The freight elevator rose, and with a ding, the single door opened, revealing five or six dark gun barrels. A furious shout rang out at the same time: "Don't move! Let me see your hands!"

The female assistant instinctively reached for her gun, and the emergency exit door next to her slammed open.

Several burly men rushed out, pointing pistols at their faces: "Don't you dare move! Hands up!"

The female assistant's hand was gripped tightly and forcibly twisted behind her back.

Giselle, confused about what had happened, began to explain, "We..."

"Shut up!" A gun was shoved directly into her mouth.

The four women dared not move.

The security supervisor successfully took control of the situation, ordering a search of their bodies and belongings, which revealed four small handguns and a sharp dagger.

Another person forcibly pried open the combination lock on the suitcase, and after opening the zipper, Professor Mordecai was inside.

Anderson, standing nearby, faithfully recorded the scene with his camera.

The four women's hands were bound behind their backs with straps. After a thorough inspection, someone called Nolan over.

Nolan was startled when he saw the unconscious Professor Mordechai: "What happened to him?"

"His breathing is normal, but it seems like he's been drugged," someone replied.

Nolan said, "Call a doctor." He looked at the four women and asked the security chief, "The police?"

The security chief, who was sent by the Moroccan security department specifically to protect the Hollywood film crew, shook his head: "I've contacted my superiors, and they will send someone over to handle this soon."

Nolan responded very politely: "Thank you for protecting the crew."

The security chief, quick to understand, said, "Director, it was you who spotted their plot in time and directed us to capture them in one fell swoop."

Nolan was so happy he was practically laughing his head off.

The big news we've been waiting for has finally arrived!
