Chapter 542 The Only Test

On the coastal highway in Malibu, an ordinary Volkswagen sedan was parked on the side of the road. Bruce, in the driver's seat, finished his phone call and drove north towards the resort villa area.

As he drove, he said, "Jordy took care of the first victim on the list, Angela Oye. After suffering this misfortune, the actress didn't get any roles or opportunities. Instead, she was threatened and returned to her hometown. She had spoken to many media outlets about the situation. According to her, after Ben Affleck and Damon contacted those media outlets, they all disappeared."

Martin was not surprised at all; in the reports he had read in his previous life, the two had done similar things more than once.

Bruce added, "She's on her way to another victim, Emma O'Connor, and has already spoken to someone on the phone. Emma O'Connor brought up a very interesting situation, telling you about a victim who will definitely surprise you."

"Even Meryl Streep has an ambiguous relationship with him." Martin remained calm. "Does Harvey dare to mess with Shirley Lansing or Katherine Kennedy?"

The latter is Hollywood's top female producer, while the former is the head of Paramount Pictures. It's rumored that Tom Cruise had some kind of affair with her.

Bruce said, "Emma O'Connor was assaulted in the early 2000s. One time she saw a woman running out of Harvey's room crying, with a handprint on her face. The woman's name was Jennifer Seabell Newson."

"I've heard that name before!" Martin was certain of it, then remembered that Louise had mentioned this woman when talking about the representative of the California Donald Party.

His expression became quite interesting: "The wife of the current San Francisco mayor, Gavin Newsom!"

Bruce nodded: "That's her. She was an actress in Hollywood before she married Gavin Newsom."

Martin said slowly, "Gavin Newsom is a key figure in the California Democratic Party, and many believe he will run for governor in the next few years."

This incident deeply affected him: "Beauty is also a kind of capital. Maybe with good luck, you can turn your life around. Harvey forced and semi-forced so many women, and some of them actually succeeded... Old Brooks, luckily we believe in mutual consent in everything we do, and many times we are the ones being forced."

Looking back, how correct the three no's principle was!

Bruce wholeheartedly agreed: "We're both in real trouble!"

Martin had a feeling that tonight wouldn't be easy either, and he might end up being sexually harassed by a group of people.

He had heard that Angela Lindworth, KK, and other supermodels had formed a fashion supermodel group, and that the requirements for joining were quite strict and not easy to meet.

Bruce and Martin discussed Sibel's situation again. They certainly wouldn't be foolish enough to go looking for her, but it would be best if she saw what happened as soon as possible.

The Volkswagen drove straight into a vacation villa where Martin had hosted a cosplay party a few years ago, which is how he won over Wes Craven.

Strictly speaking, it was also the starting point of all his conflicts with Harvey.

Georgina wanted to throw a party, and although KK and Old Fox were among the signatories, Martin still insisted that he would host the party.

The shooting incident in Inception, though seemingly unrelated to him, still made Martin extremely vigilant, and even aggravated the aftereffects of his troublemaking.

I took a good look around the Martin Villa, inside and out; it was very nicely decorated.

The party company manager approached: "Mr. Davis..."

"Okay." Martin nodded and said to Bruce, "Pay up."

Bruce pulled out a check and paid the upfront fees.

The person in charge left immediately, and Bruce inspected the place carefully.

As the sun sank into the sea, an ordinary minivan drove into the villa's courtyard. As the tall, sturdy iron gate closed, Candice, the South African honey who was driving, got out of the car first.

Big KK, Old Fox, and Sienna got off the bus one after another.

Angela turned around and helped the last person out of the car, Georgina Chapman, who was eager to join the group of fashion supermodels.

This British model and fashion designer was dressed to the nines and had a stunning figure and appearance.

The four supermodels stepped forward one by one to hug Martin.

Georgina came over last, hugged Martin, and then opened her arms, saying, "Welcome to Georgina Chapman's special fashion party."

After saying that, she opened her handbag, took out a check, and placed it on the table.

Martin didn't understand what she meant.

Georgina said, "You set up the party, but I have to pay for it." She didn't give Martin a chance to refuse: "You have to accept it."

This money came from Harvey, and if Martin didn't accept it, Georgina would miss out on a strange kind of pleasure.

She wasn't stupid; she knew all about the terrible things her husband had done.

Georgina has no qualms about joining the ranks of fashion supermodels.

Angela Lindwall, the leader of the fashion supermodel group, then came to the long table where the food and drinks were placed, picked up the red wine from the ice bucket, poured six glasses of wine, and gestured for everyone to pick up their glasses.

She raised her glass and said, "Today is a special moment. Georgina Chapman will be put to the test by the Supermodel Group. If she passes, she can join the Supermodel Group. If she fails, she can only apply to take the test again after six months."

Everyone raised their glasses and drank together.

At this moment, KK said, "Four members of the fashion supermodel group are here!" She suddenly took two steps forward and carefully looked Martin over: "Your condition is normal and meets the requirements of the only test for joining the group."

Candice moved a chair over and placed it behind Martin, saying, "Please sit down."

Martin stuck to his principles and sat down in the chair.

Sienna opened the trunk of the van and took out two large suitcases filled with brightly colored clothes.

Georgina brought Martin another glass of red wine and said, "These are outfits I designed specifically for the party. The five of us will be walking the runway later, so enjoy them."

Martin nodded, sipped his wine, and watched the fashion show.

Georgina's designs are very unique, with various garments featuring lines and dots to highlight natural beauty.

The five of them walked along the edge of the pool, and when they changed into their last outfits, they all came to Martin's side.

With five against one, that one becomes the vulnerable group, the object of coercion.

Just like Old Brooks said, Martin is really having a tough time.

Georgina, however, shouted excitedly.

Tonight, she passed the test and met the only requirement for joining the fashion supermodel group, becoming one of the same kind as the supermodels who tested her.

Angela Lindwall announced: "Georgina Chapman has passed the only test and is now officially joining the Supermodel Club. We are a sisterhood and a supportive platform, working together within our respective capabilities to build a better future!"

The only applause rang out, sounding somewhat monotonous.

The applause came from Martin. Once everyone was looking at him, the shameless man declared, "You made me the sole test and condition for joining the fashion supermodel group without my consent! This is bullying!"

Carolina came over to comfort Martin: "This is how we see it. You have very high standards, strong fighting ability, and are a national hero of the United States. Ordinary people can't get close to you. You won't even look at someone who doesn't have enough charm. The people who can pass your test must be outstanding talents. Recruiting them will also strengthen the strength of the fashion supermodel team."

Candice chimed in, "Angela said that if it weren't for the coincidence of us attending AA's bachelorette party together, joining the supermodel group wouldn't have been so easy."

Martin is very encouraging: "Tangtang, you are very good. Among all African women, you are second only to Charlize Theron."

Angela Lindwall shouted, "Okay, enough of that. We have a long night ahead. Let's celebrate Georgina's official joining!"

Inside the vacation villa, things became chaotic.

Around 11 p.m., Georgina's phone suddenly rang. The number was calling from the UK. She quickly raised her finger to signal everyone to be quiet.

Angela and KK were about to cause more trouble when Martin, being the good guy he is, stopped them and made them behave a little.

Harvey asked, "Honey, weren't you having a party tonight? Why aren't you having it at home?"

Georgina remained calm and said with a smile, "I rented a seaside villa in Malibu and held the party here. It wasn't a big party; I only invited friends from the fashion industry."

In London, Harvey stood on the hotel balcony and said, "Oh, I see. Don't stay up too late; it's bad for your skin."

"We'll rest soon, and I'll have someone clean up this place first thing tomorrow morning before we head back."

Harvey said a couple more words, then hung up the phone, vaguely sensing that something was wrong.

Over the past year, although Georgina hasn't shown it outwardly, her subtle sense of detachment has become increasingly apparent.

In particular, Georgina's fashion design career saw her ask him for help less often, and she truly broke into the American fashion and modeling circles.

This made Harvey somewhat uneasy.

After thinking for a while without any clue, Harvey's thoughts turned to Martin Davis.

He turned on his phone and dialed Ben Affleck's number: "It's me! Ben, the baby's been born a few days, how's your planning going? Any new developments?"

Burbank, as Big Ben walked towards the end of the long corridor leading to the hospital ward, said, "He can be discharged tomorrow morning. Pete and I have been keeping an eye on Martin's situation. Martin will be attending a public event for Leonardo's environmental organization in a few days. There will be a lot of media reporters there, and I plan to bring Toni and the kids along."

Harvey said, "Great. After you get started, I'll call some media friends and stir up some public discussion."

Da Ben said a few more words and then hung up the phone.

When they returned, Pete had brought some late-night snacks with him.

Ben Affleck said, "We'll do it during Leonardo's charity event."

"Okay." Pete still had a concern: "We need to prepare for the worst. What if Martin admits it on the spot?"

Ben had already considered this: "If I go with Toni, Martin will definitely deny it."

Pete easily grasped the key point and said, "That makes sense!"
