Chapter 675 A Heavy Price

The crowd dispersed, and Depp was pulled out of the mud and urine by his playmates, his body reeking of a foul stench.

Louise's female bodyguard, along with a dozen or so women from the film crew, stood at the front, spewing accusations against Depp for sexual harassment as if they were free.

D'Addario, who temporarily acted as the photographer, captured the entire process.

Not only Daddario, but many people in the crew who weren't actually doing the work were also filming.

Smartphones with camera functions are so common now.

Johnny Depp was beaten up by people from the "The Martian" crew, and he was beaten badly. There will definitely be some trouble afterward.

Louise, being a leftist, had a keen enough sense of smell to have already let go of Martin's arm and chatted with the more prominent women in the crew, quickly reaching an agreement.

Depp's urination offended everyone on the set of "The Martian".

Most of them were willing to accuse Depp of sexually harassing women in public.

Louise found Martin and Ridley and said, "There will be some more trouble later."

Martin glanced at his watch: "The FBI agents shouldn't be too far away. Call the police and tell them to come back. Accuse Depp of sexual harassment and take the initiative."

Ridley Scott was furious. In the eyes of this old-school director, Depp's piss wasn't on the ground, but on Ridley Scott's face!

Although he didn't quite understand what this new game was all about, he said, "I can testify to that."

Louise went to make a phone call.

Martin then spoke a few words to Bruce.

These things won't really do anything to Depp; they just prevent the people in the crew from getting into trouble later.

A few dozen meters away, Depp sat on a dry rock, took water from his playmate, and spat out mud that smelled of his own urine.

"Ptooey, ptooey..." He spat out a mouthful of mud, grabbed the water bottle, took a sip, then spat it out again, shouting angrily, "Wine! I fucking want wine!"

One of the henchmen who had been beaten quickly went to get the wine.

Megan Ellison has learned what happened from Jerry Bruckheimer and is too exhausted to say a word.

Compared to Johnny Depp, she felt that her father, Larry Ellison, was a law-abiding and honest man.

Megan said, "I don't care about anything else, Jerry. You have two days to deal with this. The crew must start filming on time in two days."

Jerry didn't want to get involved in this mess anymore, but the crew couldn't afford to be thrown into turmoil, so he reluctantly agreed and headed to where Martin, Louise, and Ridley were gathered.

Martin asked bluntly, "Jerry, is this the apology you promised us?"

Even with Jerry's thick skin, he felt a little ashamed at this moment: "I'm sorry, I didn't expect things to turn out this way, but we'll handle this internally..."

Martin interrupted him: "Depp didn't just humiliate me, he humiliated the entire 'The Martian' crew. If I can't give the crew an explanation, I can forget about working in Hollywood!"

Ridley interjected, "I've been a director for over forty years and I've never been so humiliated! Jerry, the captain you've promoted has truly opened my eyes."

He's an old-school director, very particular about these things: "I'm just getting old, otherwise I would definitely have been one of those who took action just now!"

Louise pointed to the dozen or so women in the room who were extremely agitated: "We have to give them an explanation."

Jerry wanted to speak again.

Martin then said to Jerry, "You don't need to say anything more about this."

Jerry had a headache and fell into self-doubt. Had he made a mistake in his strategy of coaxing and praising Depp?

The FBI quickly returned, and one by one, members of the "The Martian" crew came forward to accuse Depp of sexually harassing women in public, including highly respected veteran directors like Ridley Scott.

On the other hand, aside from his friends, no one in the huge "The Lone Ranger" crew spoke up for Depp, and some even said that Depp deserved what he got.

Megan Ellison didn't show up at all.

Jerry Brooks believes Depp needs to learn a lesson, but he's making sure Depp isn't taken away so as not to affect the filming of "The Lone Ranger".

The matter of Depp being attacked is temporarily settled, but the wrangling will continue.

The conflict has temporarily subsided, and the crew of "The Martian" returned to their base.

Martin walked through the crowd and heard many strange noises.

"I grabbed a handful of Depp's pissed mud and smeared it on his face."

"What's so bad about that? I just smeared mud into his mouth."

"He actually insulted me like that. I grabbed a flashlight and tried to poke his butt, but the flashlight was too thick."

The resentment of the crew members was somewhat appeased and gradually dissipated.

Ridley returned to the director's office. Filming would proceed as scheduled tomorrow, and he still had preparatory work to do.

Bruce went to find the people who had taken the photos with their phones before, collected a lot of on-site videos, and added the ones taken by D'Artagnan, as well as the recordings from the external surveillance cameras on the Mercedes RV, which could make for a big news story.

…………

On the most luxurious Mercedes-Benz RV of the "Lone Ranger" crew.

Depp took a shower, put on a bathrobe, sat on the sofa, and picked up his wine glass to drink.

Amber Heard didn't go with him before, but she heard what happened. She was too lazy to talk about it or care, but she secretly took photos and videos, thinking that Depp's daily life might be very valuable in the future.

Depp looked at Amber Heard: "Go and call them all here."

Amber Heard got out of her RV and called Depp's cronies to get in.

These people had bruises and swelling on their faces, and each of them was injured; they had been beaten quite badly before.

One of the friends, named Coulson, said, "Johnny, we can't just let this go. When have we ever suffered such a loss in all these years?"

Depp wiped his mouth and took another swig of his drink: "This absolutely cannot be considered a lie! Hodgson was arrested, and you..."

Seeing the injuries on his friends, he was filled with rage: "You paid such a heavy price for me, how can you just let this go!"

Since the release of "Pirates of the Caribbean," who in Hollywood hasn't fawned over him? When has Johnny Depp ever received such treatment?

Moreover, all of his brothers were injured in the beating!

Another friend, George, said, "I have an unregistered gun in Los Angeles..."

Coulson quickly restrained him: "Don't be ridiculous. Do you think you can outmaneuver those gangsters with a gun?"

Depp finished his drink, then suddenly looked up and asked, "Which of the people Hodgson deals with do you know?"

Coulson said, "I know them."

Spurred by the hurt his brothers had caused, Depp had a rare moment of inspiration in years: "Spend money, find a way, and tell them that their people and goods were reported to the FBI by Martin Davis."

Coulson said, "I'll leave the set now to take care of this."

Depp wrote him a check.

Coulson took the money, got out of the Mercedes RV, and drove away from Death Valley in an SUV.

…………

In a Mercedes-Benz RV on the set of "The Martian," Bruce Wayne is organizing video recordings on his computer.

Louise peeked behind him and asked Martin, "Are you going to expose us?"

"Not just expose him, but make Depp's reputation even worse." Martin is like a villain in a movie: "The crew has grievances, and so do I!"

He said in a sinister tone, "You know what? It's been a long time since I've felt this way about personally smashing someone's head in.

Louise shook her head: "I never expected that a simple apology would turn into such a farce."

With only Bruce and Louise present, and no outsiders, Martin stated directly, "Anyone who fucking threatens my safety, I'll fucking kill them first! Originally, I wanted to give Jerry Bruckheimer some face..."

He turned to Bruce: "Call your old flame and have her come over and get the news."

Bruce didn't really want to see Jody: "I can send it to her." He sighed: "Never mind, I'll call her over."

"Those guys had detonators in their bags, and you know what I thought when I heard that?" Martin didn't need Louise to answer, giving the answer directly: "I want Old Brooks to stuff detonators under the asses of those dealers and send them flying!"

Louise had maintained a close relationship with Martin over the years and understood the meaning behind his words.

Bruce objected: "You should go and do it yourself!"

Martin laughed. "Let's go together."

Louise lightly nudged him: "Seriously."

Martin didn't need to hide anything from Louise: "I'm going to get my revenge, I'm going to make Johnny Depp feel a hundred times worse than rolling in mud!"

Louise asked, "Have you come up with a good idea?" She specifically advised, "Don't take action directly. It's not worth it for such a drunkard and drug addict."

Martin said, "If I wanted to do it myself, I would have done it just now."

He stood where he could see the computer screen: "Whether it's drug use and contact with drug dealers, or urinating, even if the news makes a big fuss, for a star of Depp's caliber, it's just temporary damage to his reputation."

Louise said, "The failure of his two films with Annapurna Pictures will have a huge impact."

Martin's fighting spirit is already burning brightly: "But Johnny Depp is still a billionaire."

Louise suddenly thought of Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.

Martin said, "I want him to be a homeless drug addict on the streets!"

Louise was also eager to do it, because she was among those Depp was criticizing at the time: "You have an idea?"

On his way back, Martin kept recalling and thinking, saying, "You're more familiar with the investment world than I am. Help me check if Depp has any investors, and if so, who they are."

Louise said, "It shouldn't be hard to find out."

Martin then said to Bruce, "You handle the news with Jody; I won't say more."

Bruce replied, "Leave it to me."

Martin took a bottle of water from the refrigerator, unscrewed it, took a sip, and said, "When we were filming at Disney Studios, the Lone Ranger crew was right across from our studio. I heard a lot about Depp. Apparently, he drove the whole crew crazy, including Megan Ellison."
