Chapter 812 Martin's Mission

Chapter 812 Martin's Mission

"Follow him, Old Bu, follow him."

On a Manhattan street, Leonardo DiCaprio gripped the passenger seat and said to Bruce, who was driving, "Don't let them spot us, don't lose them!"

Martin pulled him back into his seat and said, "Don't worry, Old Brooks is a professional."

Leonardo sat back down, still leaning to one side, looking through the windshield at the Mercedes in front of him.

Not long after leaving the bar, he saw Gisele Bündchen and Justin Bieber get into the car.

The Mercedes was clearly heading towards the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Leonardo calmed himself down a bit and asked, "Have you made contact with your private jet?"

Martin nodded: "I've already called Elizabeth. Jack will arrive tomorrow and can leave anytime."

Leonardo patted Martin on the arm: "Thanks for this time."

"That makes me uncomfortable!" Martin punched Leonardo. "When you were helping me get people involved, did you ever hesitate or refuse?"

Leonardo smiled and said nothing more.

Ahead, a Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Bruce drove the car into a parking space on the side of the road.

Martin and Leonardo looked towards the hotel, where Gisele Bündchen and Justin Bieber got out of the car one after the other and went into the hotel together.

Leonardo's face darkened, and he muttered, "Why? Why..."

Martin didn't know why either. Did having blond hair and tattoos really add to a woman's charm?

The Mercedes drove away from the entrance, but instead of leaving, it stopped on the side of the road.

Leonardo's expression softened a little, but he was still muttering, "Come out now! Come out, you bastard!"

Half an hour passed, and Justin Bieber still hadn't come out of the hotel.

"I just don't understand," Leonardo suddenly said, "why such a bastard!"

Martin reassured them, "They're probably just talking and chatting inside."

Leonardo understood his best friend's good intentions, but shook his head: "Do you really believe that?"

We checked into the same hotel room, and just drank water, chatted, and played games; we didn't do anything inappropriate...

Martin interrupted Leonardo's musings: "Even if something really happened between them, it's Tom Brady who'll be cheated on, not you, Leonardo DiCaprio!"

That made a lot of sense, but Leonardo wouldn't listen: "This has nothing to do with who I am, or with Tom Brady. If Gisele were with a normal person, even if it were you and Jack, I could accept it."

"No!" Martin quickly said, "I've never had any feelings for Giselle."

To be precise, the world's number one supermodel doesn't have a particular aesthetic sense.

That's not what Leonardo meant: "What I can't accept is that Gisele is with trash like Justin..."

Martin understood Leonardo's feelings, and Justin Bieber not only showed off to his face but also became a kindred spirit to him.

The former is mockery, the latter is a fatal blow.

Leonardo stared at the hotel entrance, saying nothing.

Martin sighed inwardly and said, "Let's go back first."

Leonardo glanced at his watch: "Wait another half hour."

Martin stopped talking and stayed with Leonardo, waiting there.

Half an hour passed quickly, and Justin Bieber still hadn't come out of the hotel.

Leonardo clenched his fist, slammed it on the seat, and said, "Old Brooks, let's go back."

Bruce started the car and drove away.

Martin said, "Jack will be here tomorrow, don't worry."

Leonardo DiCaprio said, "I know this doesn't really concern me, but I just can't stand it!"

He closed his eyes briefly: "I admit it, Gisele is my true love!"

Martin said, "In the name of true love, let's teach that bastard who wants to take advantage of my brother a lesson."

Leonardo asked, "What's your idea?"

Martin thought for a moment and said, "Let someone investigate his specific situation first. Once we have a sufficient understanding, we can discuss it together when Jack arrives."

Leonardo nodded: "Jack arrives tomorrow, and I'll go with him to the Brooklyn studio to find you."

…………

Monday morning, Long Island, New York.

Ryan Reynolds drove alone to the town of Latin on the North Shore and went into a restaurant where he could enjoy morning tea.

At a table by the window in the restaurant sat Jon Berg, the former Hollywood genius producer and executive director.

Ryan Reynolds, sitting across from him, took the tea he offered and said, "I met Martin Davis at the 54 Club last night, a very assertive, even domineering guy."

Recalling Blake Lively, whose stunning figure made him fall in love at first sight, Ryan Reynolds added, "I don't like Martin Davis."

Jon Berg picked up his teacup and said, "Nobody likes him, he's an asshole."

Ryan Reynolds took a sip of his black tea: "The last time we met before you left Los Angeles, you mentioned that you were forced to leave Warner Bros. entirely because of Martin Davis?"

Recalling the past, and looking at Ryan Reynolds in front of him, Jon Byrne asked, "Did you have a falling out with him?"

Ryan Reynolds said, "He had something on a girl, and she came to me for help. As a gentleman, I naturally stepped in, and ended up getting a lecture from Martin and Leonardo."

He shrugged: "I can't stop the two of them combined."

Jon Berg didn't believe even half of what he said. He may be a genius, but he wasn't stupid. He said, "Martin and Leonardo, even the heads of the Big Six studios in Hollywood would treat them differently."

The woman floated past Ryan Reynolds again. He raised his hand, looked at his palm, and felt a pang of pain in his heart at the scene from last night.

Martin Davis didn't even look at me properly before brazenly pushing past me. If I hadn't slapped myself on the wine glass on the table to steady myself, I would have definitely fallen and made a fool of myself.

Ryan Reynolds asked, "Are you just going to watch Martin Davis keep getting popular?"

"What else can I do but keep an eye on things? I'm not the president of Warner Bros. anymore." Jon Berg sensed something in his words and decided to add fuel to the fire: "Martin Davis is a much more complex person than you think. I suffered a great loss at his hands."

Ryan Reynolds couldn't hide the curiosity on his face.

Jon Berger said, half-jokingly, "My predecessor at Warner Bros., Alan Horn, was close to Martin Davis, but I wasn't entirely aware of that at first. So, in choosing many big film projects, I listened to Martin Davis's private advice, including 'Owls and Gods,' 'Dark Lands,' and 'Jack the Giant Slayer.'"

Ryan Reynolds had heard similar claims in Hollywood, suggesting that Martin Davis was somewhat involved in Warner Bros.' major failed projects.

"It wasn't just me; DC Films also listened to Martin Davis's advice." Jon Berg glanced at Ryan Reynolds: "Green Lantern was initiated under these circumstances."

Ryan Reynolds' heart skipped a beat; this film had almost ruined his Hollywood career: "Martin's suggestion, 'Green Lantern'?"

Jon Berger still said, half-jokingly, "At the time, Warner Bros. and DC's first choice for Green Lantern was Martin Davis. In order to persuade him, they not only offered him a high salary, but also invited Blake Lively, who was very close to him, to play the female lead. Later, Martin Davis turned down the role and persuaded Blake Lively to give up the role. At the same time, he recommended you to me."

Ryan Reynolds was skeptical: "Martin Davis recommended me?"

Jon Berger didn't expect him to completely believe him: "I didn't know you back then. Why would I choose you if someone didn't recommend you?"

Ryan Reynolds frowned: "I don't know Martin Davis."

This put Jon Berger in a difficult position, since he hadn't done much preparation before coming and finding a suitable reason wasn't easy.

Fortunately, he spent a long time in Hollywood and some things left a deep impression on him, especially regarding Martin.

Jon Berg paused slightly before saying, "He knew this project might have problems, yet he still recommended you to me. His intention, of course, was to harm you."

He pointed out, "Martin Davis and your ex-wife Scarlett Janssen met back in late 2004 and had a close relationship; you should have seen the reports about it."

Ryan Reynolds recalled: "Scarlett Janssen mentioned to me that they met on the set of the first season of 'Entourage'."

Jon Berg poured him tea: "Your short marriage with Scarlett Janssen ended badly, didn't it?"

"We're both too career-driven," Ryan Reynolds said, spouting nonsense he himself didn't believe. "We're both so busy with work, and being apart for so long has caused our feelings to fade..."

Jon Berg said cryptically, "Women who have had relationships with Martin Davis easily become long-term lovers, like Julie and Aniston. They'll get together whenever they need to... It's said that Martin Davis is very attentive to these lovers, and those women always try to make him happy."

Ryan Reynolds said, "I asked Scarlett, and she said she had no relationship with Martin."

Jon Berg couldn't help but laugh: "Do you believe that? Think about Pitt, Jolie, and Aniston, who all said they were just friends with Martin."

"Damn it!" Ryan Reynolds's face changed when he thought of Martin Davis's reputation for women, and of his so-called good friends such as Julie, Aniston, Charlize Theron, and Taylor Swift.

Jon Berger seemed to be talking to himself: "There's always been a rumor in Hollywood that Martin Davis has a weird quirk..."

Ryan Reynolds's expression darkened further; he had heard that rumor before.

Martin Davis has a habit of sleeping with other men's wives or fiancées!

His marriage to Scarlett Janssen lasted for several years. At the time, many people found it unbelievable that Scarlett Janssen married him. Was it... a mission from her master?

Ryan Reynolds suspects he was cheated on during his marriage!
