America achieves both fame and fortune

Chapter 820 A Self-Inflicted Trap

Chapter 820 A Self-Inflicted Trap

Martin had already considered going to Ukraine, intending to do so through official channels.

In the second half of the year, an official cultural exchange delegation from Washington is planning to go there in conjunction with Hollywood. They want to find some prominent celebrities, and the White House had previously contacted them.

Martin can just get an official identity and go there.

He called Thomas and asked him to contact Washington.

After a short break of a few days, Martin joined the cast and crew of "The Town" to embark on a global promotional tour for the film.

Although the film had a relatively small overall budget and was an R-rated film, it received very positive feedback from the media and theater managers during the two test screenings held by Disney Studios.

The production team and Disney Studios mainly used conventional publicity methods.

Just like many of Leonardo DiCaprio's films, with Martin Scorsese's current fame and appeal, as long as he maintains a high-intensity, large-scale regular promotional campaign, he will naturally attract a large number of movie fans.

The most anticipated film of this summer season is not Martin Scorsese's "The Town," but "Fast & Furious 6."

Over the past month, numerous events have been held to commemorate Vin Diesel.

Led by Paul Walker, the cast members transformed into Vin Diesel's family members, constantly talking about their time with Vin Diesel in interviews and various events, and even shedding tears when they were saddened.

Vin Diesel's status and influence far surpass those of Paul Walker.

No matter how many negative rumors he had during his lifetime, they all vanished with the release of "See You Agin".

The media and the public are exceptionally tolerant of the deceased.

Just like Heath Ledger in Martin's previous life.

While The Dark Knight Rises paid tribute to Vin Diesel, Fast & Furious 6's campaign in the name of family had a greater impact.

The film even proclaimed it as a "formal farewell to Vin Diesel."

A dead A-list celebrity is far more useful at this point than a living one.

Riding on the momentum generated by Vin Diesel, Fast & Furious 6 kicked off the 2013 North American summer movie season, grossing $1.35 million in just three days in North America alone during its opening weekend.

The film grossed a whopping $3.2 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

This achievement was so explosive that many film company owners turned their attention to the lead actors in their films.

Perhaps they are praying in their hearts that they will get into a car accident or a plane crash, or better yet, do something that will make headlines across America. If all else fails, they might as well die from taking drugs.

After the film's opening week box office results were released, Universal Pictures announced that "Furious 7" had been greenlit.

The scene from Martin's past life will definitely appear again and again; every new film in this series will drag Vin Diesel out as a tribute.

Compared to Universal Pictures' "Fast & Furious 6," which has been in the works for over half a year, the upcoming "The Town" is generating less buzz.

Midweek, Disney held the film's premiere at the Boston Opera.

Because this is a film with a strong regional focus, its premiere was held in Boston, the location where the story takes place.

On the red carpet, thousands of Coca-Cola cult followers raised their Coca-Cola cans and drank with Martin.

These people chanted in unison: "The eternal Coca-Cola Cult! The eternal Coca-Cola Cult Leader!"

Martin took a few sips of Coke, handed the can to Bruce, and strode up the wide steps of the opera house, where he found several monsters standing in the media area.

A cross-dressing man, a flamboyant young man, a young woman dressed as a man, and a pair of lace-trimmed women holding hands.

Upon seeing Martin, these people immediately approached him, displaying their Cult of Cola insignia and saying, "Martin, we are your followers."

Martin smiled and shook hands with each of them, revealing not a trace of his true thoughts, and said warmly, "Thank you all for your support. Your support is my greatest motivation!"

Without even asking, Martin knew that this was definitely something Disney had done.

With the recent surge in the civil rights movement, and Disney being a pioneer in this field, inviting representatives from various groups to the premiere is also a form of publicity and marketing.

The host then walked over and asked, "Martin, is there anything you need to say to them?"

Martin thought to himself, "This is a case of reaping what you sow. If I hadn't caused all that mess in New York, I wouldn't be facing these people now."

The five men looked at Martin with particularly eager eyes.

Especially for cross-dressing men and cross-dressing women, there seems to be something else involved besides admiration and liking.

Martin is a professional actor with effortless acting skills, and his shamelessness, like that of Washington politicians, has long been cast into hell.

At this moment, he had no shame left and shouted, "Guys, I know you must have faced criticism and suffered unfair treatment. It's not easy for you to get to where you are today."

The five people all nodded.

Martin continued, "Everyone is unique, with their own unique gifts and value. Following your heart, living your life well, and realizing your own value is the most important thing. Life always has many shadows, but..."

He hugged everyone, then raised his voice: "But each and every one of us has the right to stand in the sunlight, shining brightly!"

A round of applause erupted from the crowd.

The five men came over and thanked Martin one by one.

"Thank you for your encouragement, Martin. I will always support you!"

"You will always be our friend!"

"Martin, you are the epitome of a celebrity!"

"You gave us the courage to stand in the sunlight!"

To complete the charade, Martin joined the five men, linking arms with them as they faced the media reporters and posed for a photo together.

The flashbulbs went off everywhere.

Various sports are currently on the rise, which can serve as excellent promotional material.

Martin was well aware that behind these movements lay a complex interplay of commercial interests, political demands, and class conflicts, with countless powerful forces at play.

Let alone him alone, even if you dragged the entire trio of scoundrels along, it would be like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

After leaving the media area, Martin walked towards the theater entrance.

Bruce followed from behind and said, "I was worried you might just explode on the spot."

"Don't worry, these are no big deal," Martin said in a low voice as they walked. "None of these people claimed to own rice cookers or shopping bags, otherwise it would have been much harder to deal with them."

He asked, "Old Brooks, how do you compliment someone whose gender is a rice cooker or a shopping bag?"

Even though Bruce had done countless rotten things and dealt with countless rotten people, even the Congolese Englishmen, he still couldn't think of a suitable solution.

It's so difficult, so incredibly difficult!

Bruce sighed. "These people should all be sent to the army, to Iraq or Afghanistan."

Martin said, "The American military will become composed of ten genders? Perhaps in a few years it will be hundreds."

Bruce was completely lost, feeling like he was living in a magical era.

Martin entered the opera house's foyer.

Catherine Daddario spotted him immediately and came over to greet him: "Hi, Martin."

"Long time no see, Catherine." Martin glanced at her briefly.

Catherine wore a black backless dress, with exquisite makeup, a tall figure, fair skin, and long legs.

But in Martin's eyes, it was just averagely pretty.

The sound of high heels hitting the ground came from nearby. Alexandra Daddario came to Catherine's side, her husky-like eyes carrying a peculiar smile, like sunlight reflecting off the millennia-old ice crystals atop Mount Everest and Makalu.

Martin hugged her, looked at Alexandra, then at Catherine, and found that the latter's attractiveness had skyrocketed.

He sighed inwardly, realizing that a woman's allure truly depends on the time, place, and who she's with.

Martin chatted with Alexandra for a few minutes.

Catherine interjected, "I forgot to tell you, I passed the audition for 'House of Cards' and got the role of a female reporter. Martin, thank you for your recommendation; I couldn't have won without it."

Martin simply made a call to Netflix: "It's nothing."

Catherine grabbed Martin with one hand and Alexandra with the other: "Shall we go back to the hotel together tonight?"

Martin, of course, wouldn't refuse: "Sure."

Alexandra said, "We're definitely going to hell someday."

Martin said, "Since we're destined for hell, we should have a blast while we're on earth."

Catherine agreed: "You guys don't have any plans tomorrow morning, right? Let's have a crazy threesome tonight."

Alexandra nodded slightly: "Since you've all said so, I'll definitely agree."

Then came the sound of high heels hitting the ground, and Linda Henry, wearing a bright red evening gown, walked over.

As the owner of the Boston Red Sox, one of the film's main sponsors, she also received an invitation to the film's premiere.

Linda asked curiously, "I just heard you're having a party? Martin, are you hosting a party? Can I come?"

Alexandra knew how attractive this kind of person was to Martin, so she quickly said, "We haven't seen Martin in a while, so we need to get together alone."

"You..." Linda's gaze swept over the Daddario sisters, and she instantly understood. She said, "Have a pleasant evening."

As she prepared to leave, she pulled out a business card and handed it to Martin: "I've updated my contact information."

Martin politely put it away: "I'm still the same as before."

Linda smiled radiantly and swayed away as she left.

Once the person had walked away, Catherine leaned over and said, "Martin, that woman has feelings for you."

Martin said, "I'm only interested in Fenway Sports' sponsorship and GG fees, not in her as a person."

"That can't be right," Alexandra said specifically. "Her name is Linda Henry, and Henry is her husband's surname."

Martin sighed, "Where did you hear all this nonsense? With you guys around, how could I possibly be interested in her?"

Aren't the Daddario sisters more interesting than Linda Henry?

Is this still a choice?

Martin glanced at the time and urged, "Let's go, into the screening room. There's a small media event before the screening, don't be late."

The three of them entered the main hall of the opera house together.
