Chapter 192 Alchemist Master Nicolas Flamel (Second Update)

In a historic villa on the French magic street, Li Chuan met Nicolas Flamel, an alchemy master who was around six hundred years old.

Although he gained immortality by taking the elixir of life made from the Philosopher's Stone, Nicolas Flamel's body still decayed over time.

So he looked like a rotten, dried-up corpse, with no color in his body, and he walked very carefully, as even the slightest bump or bruise could cause a fracture.

"Sorry, we may have to bother you for two or three days."

"It's okay. Albus told me a few days ago that some friends might be coming over."

Nick Lemaître was not surprised to see Li Chuan and his group. He kindly invited them into his home and then assigned them rooms.

Since it was already midnight, everyone quickly went to sleep in their rooms.

The next morning, Li Chuan woke up early and went downstairs. He saw Nicolas Flamel preparing breakfast in the kitchen using magic, so he went up to help and chat with him.

He'll have to learn alchemy sooner or later, so building a good relationship with Nicolas Flamel, the most powerful alchemist, will naturally allow him to seek his guidance later.

Older people tend to be more talkative, and Nicolas Lemaître was no exception. This 600-year-old man saw that Li Chuan was very willing to chat with him, and his liking for him increased rapidly.

He told Li Chuan that he was born in 1327, about the wizarding society of that era, how he fell in love with alchemy, how he crafted various magical items, and his greatest achievement, the Philosopher's Stone.

"This is the Philosopher's Stone. It's because of it that my wife and I have been able to live so long."

When he got to the exciting part, he opened the wardrobe next to him and pointed to a glass bottle inside, which contained a magical magic stone that was glowing red.

Li Chuan looked at the magic stone with interest, but he didn't have any intention of taking it for himself.

He can obtain the secret to immortality in the next world of immortals and heroes. For cultivators, living for hundreds or thousands of years is commonplace, and their physical functions will only become stronger and stronger, not atrophy.

As for the Philosopher's Stone's ability to convert gold, he no longer needs it.

At his current level, gold and money no longer hold much appeal for him; the corporations in the main world are making so much money every day that he can't possibly spend it all.

"What a beautiful stone, Mr. Lemaître. If I have time, may I come and learn some alchemy from you?"

"Of course, I really enjoy having people come and stay for a while. Albus used to be just like you, but now that he's teaching at Hogwarts, he rarely comes over."

Nicolas Flamel had a very good impression of Li Chuan; he was polite, funny, and patient enough to listen to his rambling.

Most importantly, when he revealed the Philosopher's Stone, Li Chuan's eyes were clear but not greedy, which is very rare; only Albus Dumbledore could do that.

After chatting for a while, Newt and the other two got up and went downstairs.

"What should we do next?"

After finishing breakfast, Queenie asked.

Li Chuan then directly stated his plan:

"My suggestion is to split into two groups. You three can go in one group to find Tina and find out what the International Wizarding Federation and the various Ministries of Magic are up to."

I, on the other hand, went alone, trying to infiltrate the dark wizards and find out the exact time and place of their gathering.

We'll meet back here tonight.

"No, Tom, it's too dangerous for you to go alone. Let Tina and Jacob go find Tina. It'll be safer for me to go with you."

Upon hearing Li Chuan's plan, Newt hesitated for a moment before raising his objection.

What he really wanted right now was to find Tina and clear up the misunderstanding, but it would be too dangerous to let Li Chuan infiltrate the Black Wizard's territory alone, and Li Chuan was also a very good friend of his.

Li Chuan patted Newt on the shoulder:

"Don't worry about me. You forgot that I can transform into other people without Polyjuice Potion. Infiltrating the dark wizards isn't that dangerous. And even if I'm discovered, escaping won't be a problem with my skills."

"And your appearance is already on the dark wizard's blacklist; you and I together would be even more easily discovered."

Hearing Li Chuan say this, Newt could only sigh:

"Then you must be careful!"

He knew Li Chuan was right; perhaps it would be safer for Li Chuan to go alone.

After leaving Nick Flamel's villa, Newt and his two companions went to the French Ministry of Magic again in hopes of finding out about Tina, while Li Chuan transformed into a mysterious figure and Apparated to Grindelwald's base.

He didn't need to infiltrate at all; his other identity was Grindelwald's top lieutenant.

The reason for splitting up was simply to make it easier to come to the meeting and to have time to go back and fight Dumbledore later.

Otherwise, it would be inconvenient for them to stay together all the time.

Inside the base, after the meeting, Grindelwald spoke privately with Li Chuan:

"The gathering will take place tomorrow night at 8 PM at Père Lachaise Cemetery. When do you plan to make your move?"

"I'll go to Hogwarts today to keep an eye on Dumbledore, and I'll take his life tomorrow afternoon!"

Li Chuan thought for a moment and replied.

Grindelwald nodded. All he needed to do was for Li Chuan to harass Dumbledore and distract him, and his goal would be achieved.

"Success is best, if not, try to escape. If you have time, you can come and join the gathering, and I'll show you the true power of my improved Fiendfire Curse."

"I'll get here as soon as I can finish my mission."

Li Chuan smiled.

He'll definitely come, but not as the mysterious man, but as Tom Foley in the open.

After spending most of the day at Grindelwald's base, he returned to Magic Street and transformed back into his original form.

When he returned to Nick Flamel's villa that evening, Newt and his two companions had already arrived, bringing Tina Goldstein with them.

"Tom, how's it going? Have you figured out the exact time and place of Grindelwald's meeting?"

Upon seeing Li Chuan, Tina immediately asked anxiously.

This time, she was ordered by the Chairman to lead all the elite Aurors of Parliament to Paris, where they joined Aurors from the British Ministry of Magic, the French Ministry of Magic, and other countries to form an anti-wizard special operations team.

However, their operations during this period yielded little result. They only knew that Grindelwald's gathering was in the next few days, but they did not know the specific time and place, which put them in a very passive position.

"Tomorrow night at 8 PM, at Père Lachaise Cemetery!"

Without hesitation, Li Chuan relayed the most accurate intelligence he had learned from Grindelwald to Tina.

Grindelwald is different from Dumbledore; any move he makes will be absolutely lethal. If Tina and the other Aurors know this in advance, they can be prepared, making the fight easier for him.
