Chapter 206 Thor, Loki, and Tony (Third Update)

Rewind to before the wormhole was opened, high in the sky, a hundred kilometers away from New York.

Thor, clad in his Thor armor and wearing a red cloak, is flying rapidly toward New York City, wielding Mjolnir in his right hand.

"My dear brother, can you please have some consideration for your weak and helpless younger brother? I haven't regained my divine power yet. Are you trying to freeze me to death by flying so fast?"

Loki, dressed in a suit and standing to Thor's left, felt like he was being blown around like a fool and couldn't help but roar at Thor above him.

Thor reluctantly slowed down and replied:

"I told you to study properly but you didn't. All you do is cheat and swindle people in town all day long, and you still haven't regained your divine power."

"I insisted on coming along again this time, hoping it's really as you said."

A week ago, Saul, who had been working diligently on the construction site and as a part-time librarian, was...

Finally, through experiencing human life and absorbing the wisdom of human books, he truly understood the meaning of his existence, regained Thor's hammer, and restored all his divine power.

However, his brother Loki completely ignored his advice, spending his days idly, engaging in petty swindling, cheating, and stealing in town. If it weren't for his protection, he would have been crippled by the town's strong men long ago.

Because Loki remained unrepentant, he was unable to break the seal left by Odin, the father god, and remained an ordinary person.

Originally, after Thor regained his divine powers, he could have returned to Asgard to inherit the throne and become the next king of Asgard.

But during his time living in the human world, he felt that humans needed his help more than the happy Asgardians.

Another concern was that if he returned to Asgard, his brother Loki would starve or be killed. After all, Loki never worked, and his living expenses were entirely covered by the wages he earned.

So he made a request to Odin, asking him to wait until his brother Loki repented before returning to Asgard with him to become king.

Odin sensed Thor's change and, considering he still had some time left before the end of his life, nodded in agreement.

Shortly after, Thor suddenly received a message from Odin, saying that Heimdall had foreseen an impending crisis on Earth and that he should immediately travel to New York to help humanity defend against the invasion.

He initially planned to come by himself, but Loki hadn't regained his divine power and wouldn't be of any help; he would only be a burden.

However, after Loki learned of the situation, he insisted on coming along, saying that he wanted to see if he could learn something from watching Loki save humanity, reform himself, and regain his divine power.

He thought it made sense, so he took him along.

"What's the rush? There are so many humans, it doesn't matter if a few die. But you only have one brother. If he freezes to death, how will you explain it to the Empress Dowager? Or are you deliberately trying to freeze me to death to get revenge for what I did before?"

Loki straightened his hair, a mocking smile playing on his lips.

In fact, with his intelligence, even without his divine power, he could definitely live quite well in the human world without Thor.

But he wouldn't have it. He wanted to stay in town, spend the money Thor had worked so hard to earn, and cause a lot of trouble for Thor to deal with. Ideally, he wanted to delay Thor's recovery of his divine power so he could return to Asgard and inherit the throne.

This time too, he deliberately slowed Thor down, wanting Thor to arrive later so that he would be punished by Odin.

"Are you doing this on purpose? You're a frost giant! Even if Father God sealed your divine power, you shouldn't be afraid of the cold!"

Upon hearing Loki's words, Thor immediately sensed that something was amiss.

Loki, however, calmly said:

"So what? You're Thor, and you're afraid of electricity, aren't you? Forgot how old Hank took you down with a single stun gun? What's wrong with me, the Frost Giant, being afraid of the cold?"

"It's all because you flirted with Old Hank's daughter, and he chased you around town with a bunch of people. If I hadn't intervened, you would have been chopped into eight pieces by him."

Thor twitched his lips in annoyance.

Loki snorted coldly:

"I need to flirt. I can just wink at that woman and she'll want to spend the night with me. How could I, the future King of Asgard, possibly be interested in a lowly human woman?"

He wasn't lying about that. Although he often caused trouble for Saul, it really wasn't him who flirted with old Hank's daughter that time.

Old Hank is the owner of the town's bar. His daughter, Little Hank, is attracted to Loki's handsome appearance the first time she sees him. She immediately dumps her boyfriend and wants to have a wild fight with Loki.

But Loki would never be interested in a human girl, so he rejected her outright and said many contemptuous and insulting things.

In a fit of anger, young Hank ran to his father and told him that Loki had harassed him. Old Hank, with his fiery temper, immediately gathered his henchmen to kill Loki, which led to the events that followed.

"Alright, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Either you bear with it, or I'll let you go and find a car to go to New York yourself. We can't waste any more time."

Thor felt that discussing these matters with Loki was a waste of time, so he issued an ultimatum.

"Alright, let's speed things up. It seems that for the sake of humanity, I, your younger brother, will have to make do for now."

Seeing Thor's resolute attitude, Loki knew he couldn't stall for time and had no choice but to nod.

Thor immediately accelerated again, dragging Loki towards New York City.

However, just as he arrived at the edge of New York City, a figure in an Iron Man suit suddenly flew over and blocked his way.

Tony Stark was searching for Gamora and Nebula at Nick Fury's request.

Because S.H.I.E.L.D.'s satellites detected two unidentified objects approaching New York at high speed, he assumed they were Gamora and Nebula, so he quickly flew over in his suit.

"It's you, Thor, the God of Thunder from Asgard!"

Upon seeing Thor's appearance, Tony immediately recognized him as the Asgardian prince whom he had previously helped with Li Chuan.

Thor also recognized Tony; Tony's armor was so iconic, and there was the "GG" on the back of the armor.

"Tony Stark, thank you for your help last time, Li Chuan. I have now regained my divine powers."

"Congratulations then, but it seems your disobedient younger brother hasn't recovered yet."

Tony saw Loki being carried by Thor and habitually made a sarcastic remark.

Loki, upon hearing Tony's words, immediately became displeased; he was no pushover either.

"You lowly humans, you think you can stand shoulder to shoulder with gods just because you're wearing a suit of iron. Once I regain my divine power, I'll definitely give you and that Li Chuan a good bloodbath."

Thor's face immediately showed embarrassment upon hearing this. He first kicked Loki in the butt, then smiled and looked at Tony:

"You know, he and I aren't related by blood!"

"It's okay, I don't mind, because he looks like a little kid who lost a fight with his brother over a lollipop."

Tony retorted sarcastically.
