Chapter 53 Dr. Stern's Hesitation

The Body Flicker Technique does not refer to a specific ninjutsu, but rather any technique that allows for rapid movement can be categorized as the Body Flicker Technique.

It usually involves instantly unleashing the chakra within the body to move at high speed. For example, when Zabuza released the mist, he moved at high speed to Kakashi's side in the mist, which was the Misty Body Flicker.

The Third and Fourth Raikage's high-speed movement, using lightning chakra to cover their entire bodies, is called the Lightning Instantaneous Movement Technique. The Flying Thunder God Technique of the Second and Fourth Raikage can also be categorized as the Instantaneous Movement Technique.

The most famous of these is Uchiha Shisui's use of the Sharingan to create the Phantom Body Flicker, which earned him the title of "Shisui the Body Flicker".

Li Chuan used the most common type of Body Flicker Technique, which involves instantly unleashing the chakra within his body. This technique is applicable to most ninjas with good chakra control.

"Alright, that's all for today. get out of class dismissed!"

Ten minutes later, Dr. Stern checked the time, stopped his lecture on cells, picked up his lesson plan, and prepared to leave the classroom and return to his laboratory.

At this moment, Li Chuan also got up and walked towards the door.

However, he hadn't taken more than a few steps when a pretty, stylish blonde female college student blocked his way.

"Hey, hello, my name is Lila. What department are you in? I don't think I've seen you before?"

Just as class was about to end, she glanced around and noticed that a very charming and handsome guy was sitting in the last row of the classroom.

Although he is of Chinese descent, his angular face is very three-dimensional, and coupled with his excellent physique and expensive clothes, he gives people the impression of a noble prince from a kingdom on the run.

So in that instant, she decided to dump her current boyfriend, the captain of the rugby team, and win this man over.

"I'm not from your school, I'm just here to take care of some business."

Li Chuan looked at the girl who had extended her hand, shook it politely, and then walked past her.

He knew that most women in this country were quite open and direct, so he was also quite direct; shaking hands was already considered very polite.

"No problem, I'm having a party at my house tonight, would you like to come?"

Upon learning that Li Chuan was not a student at the school, Lila did not give up and stepped forward with a smile to extend an invitation.

It doesn't matter if he's a student or not; a boyfriend like that would be very eye-catching anywhere.

Li Chuan paused for a moment, then politely smiled at the female college student in front of him:

"Excuse me, I've already made plans with my wife to go to Chinatown tonight!"

"You...you're married?"

Lila stared wide-eyed at the handsome man in front of her, who wasn't much older than her, before revealing a look of disappointment.

"Then I wish you happiness!"

She simply couldn't imagine that such an outstanding man would get married so early.

"Thanks!"

Nodding, Li Chuan continued to chase after Dr. Stern in the direction he had left.

However, just as he reached the door, another unexpected event occurred, and he was stopped again. This time, however, it wasn't a female college student trying to pick him up, but rather a muscular male college student.

Of course, I wasn't trying to seduce him, but rather to warn him.

"Hey, you little yellow monkey, I don't care what department you're in, stay away from Lila. She's not someone you can mess with, or I'll shove your head up your ass!"

"Bang!"

The white male college student was kicked in the stomach by Li Chuan, and then he squatted on the ground in pain, clutching his stomach.

"It's in the way."

He left with a single sentence, not even glancing at the college student, and then left the classroom, taking a few strides to catch up with Dr. Stern ahead.

"Excuse me, are you Dr. Samuel Stern?"

"Who are you?"

Stern looked at Li Chuan. He had initially thought he was a student at the school, but his clothes and demeanor clearly didn't seem to match.

Li Chuan took out a business card from his pocket and handed it over:

"I am the chairman of the Li Group. I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Do you have a moment, Doctor?"

"The Li Group, oh, I know. The Three-Colored Pills are produced by your group. That's a truly remarkable invention. I've spent time analyzing it; it contains..."

Dr. Stern glanced at the business card, his eyes lit up, and he began to rattle off a long string of technical terms, appearing quite excited.

It took him a while to realize what was happening, and he said somewhat embarrassedly:

"Sorry, I got a little excited. Let's go to my lab; we can talk about it there."

"It's alright. I admire Dr. Stern's passion for biological science. Let's go!"

Li Chuan nodded with great satisfaction. His Li Group needed a biologist like Stern who was both professional and highly capable.

Unlike top universities like New York University and Columbia University, Greyburn College is only considered a second or third-rate university, not to mention globally, even within New York City.

So Dr. Stern, a biology professor who is not very famous, is fortunate enough to have his own laboratory at this university.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Li?"

After arriving at the lab, Stern, who had calmed down, made Li Chuan a cup of coffee.

The fact that the chairman of a rising star group in the pharmaceutical industry personally came to the school to see him was quite a surprise to him.

Li Chuan didn't beat around the bush; he stated his purpose very directly.

"Dr. Stern, I'm not one to waste time, so I'll be frank. I've read many of your papers and I agree with some of the theories you've proposed."

I think it's a waste for someone with your talent to be just a professor at this university. I'd like to hire you to join our Li Group; your salary and benefits will be ten times what you'd earn as a professor.

"Let me think about it first before you suddenly say that."

Upon hearing Li Chuan's words, Stern became somewhat confused.

He didn't expect that Li Chuan would ask him to quit his job of more than ten years and join the Li Group.

To be honest, he didn't care about the ten times the salary, but Li Chuan's appreciation and recognition of him touched him, which made him hesitate for a moment.

Deep down, he didn't think he was inferior to those world-class biology experts; it was just that due to certain limitations, he had never achieved anything significant.

Capitalists are very pragmatic. No matter how wonderful your theory is, if you don't have certain experimental results and the ability to immediately convert it into money, then capitalists will not be willing to spend a lot of money to invest in experiments.

He was born into an ordinary family and without capitalists to invest in his experiments, many of his theories could not be translated into reality.

If he hadn't had his own laboratory at Greyburn College over the years, he wouldn't have made any progress, which is why he was somewhat tempted.

However, what he wanted was for Li Chuan to invest in his experiments, not to join Li Chuan's group.
