Chapter 554 Sealing Hela (First Update)

The realm of the gods, the Asgardian teleportation hall.

Li Chuan and Thor slowly appeared from the teleportation on the Rainbow Bridge.

When he last came to Asgard, he was just a minor mage with decent strength who helped Thor suppress Loki's rebellion, and Odin didn't pay much attention to him.

This time, however, his strength was now on par with Odin's.

"Welcome to the realm of the gods. Father God is already waiting for you in the celestial palace."

Heimdall, who was in charge of opening the Rainbow Bridge, bowed slightly to Li Chuan, who smiled and nodded in return.

"Chuan, let's go!"

Thor swung his hammer and flew straight towards the golden palace, with Li Chuan following closely behind in a beam of light.

Soon, the two landed on a balcony in Asgard and met Odin, who was already waiting there.

"I have met His Majesty Odin."

Li Chuan performed an Asgardian bow, and Odin quickly stepped forward to help him up, his face full of kind smiles.

"You're Thor's friend, no need for such formalities."

"You didn't say that last time."

Li Chuan muttered to himself, but on the surface he maintained his smile.

No matter where you are, you will be respected if you have the ability.

If Odin hadn't sensed the immense power within him that rivaled his own, he would never have treated him this way.

It's human nature, and even gods are no exception, so while he might complain, he wasn't really bothered by it.

Regarding the Eternal Flame

After the initial polite formalities, Li Chuan cut straight to the point.

"Sol, your mother needs to see you. She wants you to come over."

Odin suddenly interrupted Li Chuan and turned to Thor beside him.

Thor obviously didn't see anything wrong, thinking that his mother really wanted to see him, so he greeted Li Chuan and left happily.

After Thor left, Odin turned to Li Chuan and said:

"I can give you the Eternal Flame, but you have to do me a favor."

"What kind of help?"

Li Chuan raised an eyebrow; in fact, he already had a general idea in his mind.

Sure enough, Odin's next words were pretty much what he had guessed.

"I hope you can help me seal away my eldest daughter, Hela, from back then..."

Odin then explained the whole story to Li Chuan in detail.

Before having a son named Thor, Odin had a daughter named Hela.

Hela was the former executioner of Asgard and the original wielder of Thor's hammer. Odin's conquest of the Nine Realms owed much to Hela.

However, after conquering the Nine Realms, Hela and Odin had differing opinions.

Odin was tired of war and wanted to rule the Nine Realms peacefully, while Hela wanted to continue the war and make Asgard the ruler of the universe, a dictator.

Unwilling to submit, Hela rebelled with her army of the dead. Odin dispatched the Valkyries of Asgard to subdue Hela, but they were annihilated by the powerful Hela, with only Valkyrie surviving.

Odin then personally defeated Hela and sealed her away in Norway on Earth.

Why wasn't Hela killed directly? First, out of consideration for family ties, there was a hope that Hela would repent while sealed away. Second, at that time, Hela had already merged her power source with Asgard.

To completely kill Hela, Asgard must first be destroyed.

Odin's lifespan is coming to an end, and Hela remains unrepentant. Once he dies and the seal is broken, there will be no one in Asgard who can suppress Hela.

Given Hela's personality, the Nine Realms will once again be engulfed in bloodshed.

According to the prophecy, Surtur, the fire giant, would eventually reclaim the eternal flame and unleash Ragnarok, destroying Asgard and causing Hela's demise.

In the end, only Thor remained, leading the remaining Asgardians to rebuild Asgard.

However, if Li Chuan takes away the Eternal Flame, then this prophecy will naturally be impossible to fulfill.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, Odin would definitely not give the Eternal Flame to Li Chuan.

However, he suddenly discovered that this once inconspicuous little mage from Earth had actually grown to a level of strength similar to his own, which led to this meeting.

If Li Chuan is willing to cooperate with him to strengthen Hela's seal, then even if he dies, as long as Li Chuan lives, the seal will still exist, and Hela will not cause trouble.

In the future, when Thor grows up and reaches a similar level of strength, the seal can be reinforced once again.

In this way, Ragnarok could be avoided.

Ragnarok was a last resort; if there had been other options, he would not have been willing to sacrifice the entire Asgard and most of the Asgardians to kill Hela.

He had actually asked the Ancient One for help before, but the Ancient One said he would die before him.

"No problem, I know a little about sealing magic too!"

After hearing Odin's explanation, Li Chuan readily agreed.

Sealing Hela is just a side job; it allows me to obtain the Eternal Flame to improve the Tsukuyomi world and complete a side quest at the same time. There's nothing wrong with that.

Yes, when Odin began his story, his panel displayed a side quest to seal Helya, with the reward being a year of small world time.

Seeing Li Chuan's quick agreement, Odin immediately smiled.

"Let's not delay, let's go now!"

To save time and obtain the Eternal Flame as soon as possible, Li Chuan took Odin back to Norway on Earth after their conversation and began the second sealing of Hela.

"Odin, you hypocritical old man, let me tell you, I will not yield. I know you are about to die, and after you die, nothing will be able to stop me. I will kill all those who oppose me and become the true ruler of the Nine Realms!"

Sensing Odin's presence within the seal beneath Norway, Hela, her hair disheveled, burst into laughter.

Over the years, Odin has frequently visited her, trying to influence her with familial affection, but how could she be fooled?

She had long noticed that Odin's power was waning and that he was not far from death. If she could hold on for a few more years, the power that sealed her would dissipate, and she would once again become the unstoppable goddess of death.

"Hela, my daughter, stop being so stubborn. If you are willing to truly repent, I will release you. Otherwise, you will have to stay in the seal for the rest of your life."

Odin looked down at his eldest daughter and couldn't help but sigh.

Hela, however, was clearly unconvinced. Besides berating Odin for being hypocritical, she also arrogantly declared how she would take revenge after they left the city.

Finally, Odin couldn't stand it anymore and said to Li Chuan, who had been watching the whole thing from the sidelines:

"Let's begin!"

So the two joined forces and began to cast the seal.

Odin reinforced the seal, while Li Chuan began to apply various of his own seals, using all sorts of ninjutsu, magic, and Taoist seals.

Odin, who was watching from the side, widened his eyes in surprise.

He felt that even if he completely removed his seal now, Li Chuan's various powerful seals could still completely seal Hela away.
