Chapter 58 Li Chuan's Request

If Hydra has not been destroyed and the top brass of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated, then his most important task now is to remain inactive and not let the other side know that he already knows this intelligence.

Then, using his most trusted subordinates, he slowly devised a countermeasure.

Similarly, he also needed to figure out who the source of this intelligence was, whether it was unintentional or intentional, and whether it was an enemy or a friend conveying the message to him through Tony.

"Chief, what's the mission?"

A beautiful woman wearing a black bodysuit and with long, flowing, burgundy hair walked into Nick Fury's office.

Natasha Romanoff, codenamed Black Widow, was originally a brainwashed top spy in the Red Room, but was later brought into S.H.I.E.L.D. by Hawkeye Barton.

He possesses top-notch combat skills, is fluent in various languages, including the nearly extinct Latin, and is adept at driving all types of vehicles on land, sea, and air. He excels at disguise, concealment, infiltration, and stealth.

With profound knowledge of psychology, one can move freely within various organizations in different countries to obtain the intelligence one desires.

"You are free to use any means necessary. I want all the information about this person, but don't let him find out."

Nick Fury handed over Li Chuan's information to Black Widow.

Black Widow glanced at the information, quickly memorized its contents, nodded, and left.

After Black Widow left, Nick Fury thought for a moment and pressed the communication button on the table again:

"Have Agent Hill and Agent Coulson come to my office."

Hill and Coulson are his two most trusted subordinates at S.H.I.E.L.D., and he needs their assistance to investigate the infiltration of high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. officials by Hydra.

After arranging things for Hill and Coulson, Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief and turned on the virtual projector in his office.

"That's a problem that needs to be dealt with!"

As he watched the projector display the day's most explosive news, Tony Stark, chairman of Stark Industries, revealing himself to be Iron Man, he couldn't help but rub his forehead.

Meanwhile, Li Chuan, who was in the company's laboratory exchanging ideas with Samuel Stern, also saw the same news.

"She really loves to show off!"

He shook his head, not paying much attention, and continued speaking to Stern:

"Tell him that you're almost there and that you've figured out how to cure him, and that he should find a way to come to New York to see you."

"However, I cannot yet determine whether the medicine is effective. It may only temporarily suppress the symptoms and may not completely eliminate the problem. Moreover, the dosage is unpredictable; using too much could produce a deadly poison that could kill the patient."

Dr. Stern frowned; he was not satisfied with the current effects of the drug.

Li Chuan patted him on the shoulder and advised him:

"Bringing him here doesn't mean he'll be injected with your medicine immediately. It's just that having him here allows you to conduct your research more effectively. Besides, he's an expert in this field, so working together will help you solve the problem more quickly."

If he weren't worried about Dr. Banner's distrust of him, he would have simply had Stern inquire about Banner's location and then sent someone to bring Dr. Banner over.

The current strategy is to first lure people over, then find a way to keep them engaged and get them to join the Li Group's research team.

"Okay, I'll contact him now."

Stern thought about it and realized that what Li Chuan said made sense.

While most of his current research findings are his own, many key aspects were discussed with Mr. Green during online chats.

If Mr. Green himself could come, whether it's to collect blood samples or to conduct research together, he could achieve his dream experimental results much faster.

He copied a large number of Mr. Green's blood samples, but a copy is still a copy, and there is still a difference between it and the blood collected from the original.

A moment later, Stern came to Li Chuan's side again:

"He was very excited. Before I even invited him, he said he wanted to come. So, as you said, I put the meeting address at Greyburn College."

Stern is now a full-time employee of the Li Group, but he hasn't completely resigned from his job at the college. To repay the principal's appreciation of him back then, he still returns to the college one day a week to teach.

Li Chuan nodded, then smiled and said:

"Great, stay in touch. Let Xiao Liu let me know if anything happens."

Also, this morning I donated a new teaching building to Greyburn College in your name. Your college principal should be calling to thank you soon!

"This is really too much of an expense for you."

Upon hearing Li Chuan's words, Dr. Stern paused, a look of gratitude appearing on his face.

He hadn't expected Li Chuan to value him so much, even donating a teaching building to Greyburn College for him. This feeling of being valued really moved him.

"Work hard. Even if Dr. Banner's blood research doesn't yield good results, your abilities are more than enough to warrant this."

Li Chuan patted Dr. Stern on the shoulder and left the lab.

Donating a teaching building to Greyburn College was partly to win over Dr. Stern, and partly to secure the college's reputation for excellence in biology, thus ensuring a long-term supply of biological research talent to the Li Group.

Not long after returning to his office, Li Chuan received a call from Tony.

"Chuan, have you seen the news?"

Tony's smug tone came from the other end of the phone.

Li Chuan smiled:

"I saw it. I didn't expect you to be the famous Iron Man. It really surprised me."

Tony had been in contact with Li Chuan before, but he never mentioned that he was making the Iron Man suit, nor did he reveal that he was Iron Man.

As for the reason, Li Chuan knew it, so he didn't expose him.

"Haha, scared you, huh? If you ever run into any trouble in the future, just come to me, I'll definitely take care of it for you."

Tony replied confidently.

When he was imprisoned by terrorists, Li Chuan came alone and wiped out all the terrorists. He even spat out a burst of flame to detonate a missile and blow up the terrorist base.

He still remembers that scene vividly.

Now that he has created the Iron Man suit, he is confident that even the powerful Li Chuan would be no match for him.

"Great, I happen to need your help with something. Come to my company when you have time."

Upon hearing Tony's suggestion, Li Chuan readily agreed.

He'd been waiting for Tony to reveal his Iron Man identity for days.

"Okay then, wait for me, I'll fly over right now!"

Tony hesitated for a moment, but still readily agreed.

Li Chuan saved his life, and he would never refuse a request unless it violated morality or the law.

"By the way, Nick Fury from S.H.I.E.L.D. came to see me last night. I told him about Hydra, but I didn't say that you were the one who told me."
