Mystery: My Encounters with the Celestial God
Chapter 137 Mr. Fool Makes a Fortune
Chapter 137 Mr. Fool Makes a Fortune
"Miss Justice, Mr. Destiny, we can make a deal!"
"I have the potion recipes for the Solar Path 'Sequence Nine' and 'Sequence Eight', Mr. Fate, and I can pay you for them."
"And you, all you need to do is exchange it for equivalent goods or knowledge!"
Mr. Fool smiled and said he wasn't worried about whether Ron could produce the corresponding items or knowledge.
Because the other party is a mysterious world "second generation" who possesses a "0" level sealed artifact and has been carelessly left here with me for nearly half a month.
He had a lot of confidence in this little guy with a mysterious background.
"No problem, I have a Sequence 9 potion recipe from the Thief's Path, we can trade."
The Thief's Path Sequence Nine was obtained by Ron from Hazel's "teacher," who became a demigod by consuming a potion, thus incorporating this knowledge into the mythical creature form.
Seeing that he had gained something extra, the Fool Klein was invigorated and nodded with satisfaction, feeling that his suffering had not been in vain.
His thoughts flashed through his mind, and he turned to look at the new member, "Sun".
"Mr. 'Sun', I also have the Sequence 8 'Lightbringer' potion recipe. You can exchange it for 'Mind Reader' in equal value."
"Really? That's wonderful! Thank you, Mr. Fool, this is exactly what I needed!"
When Derrick the Sun saw that he had traded the potion recipes for "Singer" and "Lightbringer" in just a few minutes, he couldn't help but feel excited. He thought that Mr. Fool truly lived up to his name, solving everyone's problems with just a few words.
In Silver City, with the mastery of the "Acting Method," digesting Sequence Nine potions usually only takes a little over a month, so Derrick doesn't mind getting the Sequence Eight potion recipe ahead of time.
After all, the potion recipes for the Solar Path would eventually have to be purchased from the Tarot Club.
Seeing that Sun had agreed to his deal, Klein remained in the same position, smiling as he looked at Justice Audrey on the left side of the bronze table.
His tone remained calm as he continued with a smile:
"Miss Justice, all you need to do is collect more of Roselle's diary and pay some extra money to one of my followers. He's been busy with some things lately. Combined with the diary you provided, you can get the 'Mind Reader' potion recipe from me for just four hundred pounds."
The fool Klein revealed his true intentions, showing his true purpose!
After going through all this trouble, poor Klein was after the £400 in cash that Miss Justice had.
Actually, he originally wanted to haggle a bit more, offering £420 or £410, but to maintain Mr. Fool's image, he had to reluctantly refuse, taking a round number to show that he didn't care much about the transaction and money.
"Thank you, Mr. Fool. I will have cash ready to proceed with the transaction!"
Upon receiving this reply, the blonde, blue-eyed Audrey Hall thanked Mr. Fool with sparkling eyes.
The potion recipe that had been missing for half a month could now be bought from Mr. Fool for a mere 400 pounds.
"This is such a great deal!"
The beautiful noblewoman's excitement surged, causing her to reveal an impeccable, elegant smile.
"Very good, the deal is done!"
The Fool Klein glanced at the members, then used the power of the gray mist to materialize parchment and a round-bellied pen in front of Ron and Audrey, indicating that the transaction could begin.
The blond boy picked up a pen and copied the thief's formula onto it. Together with the two pages of Russell's diary submitted by Miss Justice, they appeared in Mr. Fool's hand. Klein, on the other hand, waved his hand and materialized the formulas of "Singer" and "Lightbringer" in front of the sun.
An endless gray fog drifted silently within the ancient palace. The tarot reading session had quieted down, and no one dared to disturb Mr. Fool's reading time.
Ron's gaze fell upon him, glancing at the prominent Russell's diary before looking away with little interest.
There was nothing recorded that would surprise him, and even the so-called secret party only caught his eye for a moment.
Time passed slowly. A few minutes later, Klein collected his thoughts, looked up at 'Justice,' 'The Hanged Man,' 'The Sun,' and the little kid, and smiled:
"Actually, you don't have to wait for me."
"It is our honor!" The Hanged Man, who had been left hanging for quite some time, had long since suppressed his dissatisfaction and responded humbly.
Audrey pondered for a moment, then smiled faintly:
"Mr. Fool, the method of selecting civil servants through public examinations that you described earlier has been approved by the King and the Prime Minister and will soon be passed in the House of Lords and the House of Commons. It is expected to enter the formal implementation phase early next year."
"It seems the King and Prime Minister do have brains after all," the Hanged Man remarked sarcastically.
So fast? I wonder if Benson can catch up. Maybe Ron should give him some extra lessons?
Upon thinking of this, Klein's eyes lit up. He felt that this matter might be worthwhile. For his brother's future, forced learning was not an unacceptable thing.
The only problem is, wouldn't that scene be a little too ridiculous?
Seeing Mr. Fool's "satisfied" expression, Miss Justice straightened her back even more and then smiled:
"Mr. Hanged Man, I have the answer to the matter you asked me to investigate. Due to the frequent wars in the Southern Continent, which have affected existing colonial interests, the King and the Prime Minister believe that retaliating against the Fusak Empire on the eastern coast of Byron is a rather unwise move."
"Thank you for your explanation, Miss Justice. This relieves me of worries about certain unpleasant things."
Seeing that the information the noble lady had obtained was roughly in line with his own deductions, the Hanged Man breathed a sigh of relief. Without pausing, he turned to look at the Justice Lady opposite him and said:
"Miss Justice, there's one more thing I'd like to ask for your help with. I can offer extra compensation, such as the main ingredient for the 'Mind Reader' potion recipe. I can find it for you through my connections, but of course, we'll need to know what it is beforehand."
Audrey Hall's emerald eyes lit up slightly upon hearing the Hanged Man's conditions, then she asked with some doubt:
"Mr. Hanged Man, what kind of help do you need?"
Alger thought for a few seconds and said:
"I've received intelligence that the notorious pirate known as 'Hurricane Admiral' Zilingus has secretly landed and infiltrated Backlund. I don't know what he's up to. I hope you can help me find his whereabouts so that you won't have to take any risks afterward."
"Hurricane Admiral Ziringus? One of the seven pirate generals?"
Justice Audrey's eyes widened slightly, and she almost lost her focus as a viewer.
"Yes, he is also a Sequence Six 'Wind Chosen One,' possessing a very powerful magical artifact. He is extremely cunning and cruel; do not attempt to deal with him!"
The upside-down man nodded slightly and introduced himself solemnly.
