Chapter 21 Klein, expose your evil nature in your dreams!

"Amnesia!?"

Dunn Smith stared blankly at the boy in front of him, his gray eyes filled with astonishment and surprise.

Based on his previous assumptions, the blond kid was probably the son of some wealthy man in Tingen who had run away from home during his rebellious teenage years and happened to end up in Riel Bieber's hideout, where he happened to run into them.

But after hearing the boy's description, Dunn Smith had to overturn his previous guess.

"A pitch-black space, seven beams of light of different colors, a feeling of weightlessness..."

Dunn carefully considered Ron's words, because the description felt very familiar to him, as if he had heard it somewhere before.

The Spirit World!

The child was talking about the spirit world!

His mind suddenly recalled the knowledge that the senior deacons of the Night Watch had taught him many years ago when he went to the sanctuary for training as the captain of the Night Watch.

He actually came from the spirit world!

Dunn Smith's grey eyes darted left and right, as if trying to figure out what made the blond boy in front of him different from ordinary people, that he could actually travel through the spirit world.

After looking at the child for a while, Dunn Smith couldn't see anything different about the boy, who was about ten years old.

"No, perhaps he didn't do it himself; maybe it was his extraordinary elders or parents?"

"But what kind of elders or parents would get their child involved in extraordinary events and send them into the extremely dangerous spirit world?"

As he pondered, Dunn Smith suddenly thought of a possibility. He looked at the blond boy sitting stiffly outside the desk, looking down at the table.

His gray eyes softened instantly, and a bittersweet feeling welled up inside him.

"Ron, do you really not remember anything from before?"

Her voice was as gentle as could be, as if she was afraid that her harsh tone might accidentally hurt the poor blond boy.

No stamp! Poor thing!

The Night Watch captain speculated that Ron's parents were likely high-ranking Beyonders, but they probably encountered some accident or were targeted by enemies, leaving them no choice but to send their young child to the Spirit Realm in order to ensure his survival.

"...This is just speculation; there may be other reasons."

Dunn Smith kept speculating about Ron's background, but he didn't feel any particular hostility towards Ron because of his extraordinary background.

After all, what bad intentions could a child who looks only about ten years old have?

"In short, this situation must be reported to the Holy See. Traversing the Spirit Realm is clearly beyond the capabilities of a low-sequence Extraordinary. If we can use the Church's power to find out Ron's origins, that would be even better!"

"Oh, right, we also need to take this child for a check-up to see if he was affected when he came out of the spirit world, or if he brought out any strange spirit creatures."

"We can have Old Neil examine it; he's quite skilled in this area..."

"...Perhaps his amnesia was also caused by the spirit world?"

The dutiful captain of the night watch habitually speculated in his mind.

"Knock knock knock"

A series of urgent knocks came from the door, the sound of fingers hitting the door was loud, conveying the anxiety of the person knocking.

"Enter."

As soon as Dunn finished speaking, Klein entered the office from outside the door, looking somewhat startled.

"Captain! The corpse of that cult clown has appeared..."

As soon as the young Night Watchman entered, he saw Ron looking at him with a defiant gaze, which made him pause, unsure whether he should reveal the Night Watchman's internal work to outsiders.

Dunn Smith glanced at his teammate and nodded slightly, indicating that he should go outside to talk.

"Ron, you stay here for now. I have something to do and will be back soon."

He patted Ron on the shoulder and whispered something to him.

The two quickly arrived outside the door, but within minutes, the young night watchman peeked out from the crack in the door and then squeezed his entire body in.

Ron continued to stare at the shameless candidate, wondering what tricks he was up to by coming here alone.

Hmph, are you trying to expose your despicable and filthy heart when no one's around?

"Um, is your name Ron? May I call you that?"

"The captain just told me your name, and he asked me to come and keep you company."

Klein Moretti looked at the blond boy in front of him and greeted Ron with what he thought was a very friendly smile.

"As expected, they've found an opportunity to test me!"

Ron clearly did not appreciate his good intentions, and instead harbored malicious suspicions about the Night Watcher on the other side.

"Um."

He gave a nonchalant "hmm" and continued staring at Klein, seemingly trying to read something from his face.

Now it was Klein's turn to feel awkward, but remembering what the captain had said to him outside the door, he decided to try to get closer to Ron first.

"Ron, you seem to have a strong aversion to me?"

"Can you tell me why?"

The boy in front of him didn't say a word, still looking at him with his golden eyes wearing a monocle.

"Was it because my tone was too harsh?"

"I'm so sorry, the situation was so tense before, I thought there were some enemies lurking there."

"If my tone offended you, I apologize in advance."

After much thought, Klein realized that only this matter could have caused the blond-haired boy to have a problem with him. As a keyboard warrior on the internet, he knew that a man should be able to back down when necessary.

Besides, the other person is just a child, there's no need to get angry with him.

Upon hearing Klein's apologetic words, Ron's eyes widened slightly, as if he could hardly believe that the young man opposite him would apologize to him.

"Could it be that I've misunderstood him?"

Before Ron could even process what was happening, he heard a praise from the primal will within him.

"As expected of a mysterious resurrection vessel, it even knows how to build rapport, waiting until both sides are sufficiently familiar before revealing its schemes, instilling the deepest and most profound despair in the enemy. It's truly a perfect match for mystery!"

Celestial Venerable: "..."

Ron's gaze suddenly turned cold again, making Klein feel a chill run down his spine.

"Yes, I accept your apology."

After a long while, Klein finally heard the reluctant words of the boy opposite him.

This made him think to himself that teenagers in any world would have the same level of rebellion at this age.

Just as Klein was sighing, he suddenly saw the boy opposite him push up his monocle, and at that moment he felt a sense of disorientation.

He watched as the boy opposite him took off his monocle, gently placed it on the table, and slowly walked to his side.

With each step he took, he unbuttoned a button on his shirt. By the time he reached the boy's side, the boy's black fitted jacket had fallen to the ground, and his white shirt was mostly undone, revealing the white substance underneath.

He's actually a girl!!!
