Chapter 77 Amon: Your monocle isn't as good-looking as mine.

"This is indeed none of my business."

"But little one, aren't you afraid of running into bad guys and scammers in a place like this?"

"To be honest, this bottle of wine isn't even worth four pounds. Don't be fooled by the bartender here!"

The middle-aged man with disheveled hair narrowed his eyes slightly, ignoring the bartender who had already put on a sour face.

He patiently probed and continued to speak, trying to use his highly persuasive words to get closer to Ron.

"Hmph ╯^╰, get lost!"

However, the blond boy's unruly behavior clearly exceeded his expectations.

The slovenly man's lips twitched. He felt that this little brat in front of him was not easy to deal with, especially that infuriating mouth of his, which he always wanted to stuff into his mouth with a rag or something else.

The conman quickly analyzed the blond boy's personality in his mind, glanced at the surrounding bar environment, and formed a preliminary plan.

"Little one, did you come here wanting to be an adventurer?"

"Your idea is excellent. At sea, you can't be considered an adventurer if you can't drink!"

He gave Ron a boastful compliment, but was met with the blond boy's cold gaze.

"Becoming an adventurer isn't easy; at the very least, you need to know what treasures lie hidden on the high seas!"

"For example, the location of a treasure that I know of."

The scammer paused for a moment and then continued:

Have you heard of the Ghost Empire?

"Actually, I know its location!"

The liar's words brought a glimmer of hope to his dark future.

He was so lucky; if he had been just a second later, he could have gone to the land of storms and lightning to meet the Lord of Storms.

Ron pushed up his monocle and looked at the extraordinary one whose thoughts were already exposed to his gaze.

"Oh? Tell me the location of the Ghost Empire in detail."

The blond boy's condescending tone caused the conman's expression to change several times, but in order to lure Ron out, he still forced a smile.

"Actually, the Ghost Empire is on Rodrigo Island, and I know its location!"

Upon hearing this, Ron scoffed dismissively.

He could tell that the weakling in front of him was deceiving him, and that what the other person said was undoubtedly a lie he had just blurted out.

"The navigator should really kowtow to me. If it weren't for me, with my great, omniscient, and all-seeing wisdom that sees through everything, he would probably have died because of his own promise!"

As the thought flashed through his mind, the Time-Space Ruler's gaze was fixed on the disheveled-looking man.

He wanted to banish this guy who dared to deceive him from the real world, banish him to the ends of time and space!

"Mr. Frans, it's almost time to set sail, and now we're just waiting for you."

Just then, a gentle voice came, saving the scruffy-looking conman's life once again.

The blond boy turned his head and saw the face of the newcomer.

He was a middle-aged gentleman who looked to be in his forties or fifties with graying temples. His appearance was extremely old-fashioned, like a butler in an old-fashioned aristocratic villa.

The butler wore a monocle made of crystal on his right eye, with a thin gold chain hanging from it, adding a touch of inscrutable charm to his staid demeanor.

The newcomer first glanced at the scruffy-looking Frans, then at Ron next to him, who also wore a monocle. A slight smile appeared on his lips as he pushed up his crystal monocle.

"Oh, it's Mr. Issa Mon. I'm coming right now. I'm inviting a young adventurer. With his participation, our operation will definitely go much more smoothly."

Seeing that it was his employer and collaborator, Frans chuckled and explained a few words, while also pointing to the blond boy who was also pushing up his monocle.

"Oh? Did this young gentleman accept your invitation?"

The old-fashioned butler looked through his monocle at the fraudster in sequence eight.

"I accept your invitation!"

Before the conman could come up with a reason, Ron's voice suddenly came. Ignoring the bartender's dissuasive look, he resolutely decided to be fooled.

Because the great ruler of time and space had already seen through the clues of the rigid butler in front of him and realized that new fun was on its way.

In the other's destiny, beneath the butler's rigid exterior lies a young man dressed in a black classical robe, wearing a matching pointed soft hat, with black curly hair, black eyes, a broad forehead, a thin face, and a monocle clipped to his right eye.

Although the butler appeared to be talking to the conman, Ron could tell from his eyes that the young man was constantly scrutinizing his monocle with a slightly disdainful look.

That gaze was incredibly irritating to Ron, as if to say that his monocle was neither stylish nor expensive enough, and was simply not presentable!

"Hmph ╯^╰."

The blond boy grunted, which was his response to the other person's presumptuous and impolite gaze.

A: Yes!

Frans was overjoyed. He didn't notice the change in the blond boy's emotions. Instead, he felt smug, thinking how excellent his eloquence was and how useful his con artist skills were.

I, Frans, am determined to have this fat sheep!

A glint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes. The scruffy-looking conman forced a smile and, as if coaxing a child, fawned over Ron beside him:

"My esteemed young gentleman, you know we are about to set sail, so..."

He hesitated, but the meaning he was trying to convey was crystal clear.

"I'll go with you!"

The person who was being treated like a lamb to the slaughter made a resolute decision and chose to be deceived without the slightest hesitation.

Ron, pushing up his monocle, met the gaze of the young man in front of him who was also pushing up his monocle.

They both wore remarkably similar smiles, a kind of glee at finding something amusing, as if mocking each other's overestimation of their own abilities.

The tavern doorbell rang with a "clatter," followed by a "creak" from the door.

The blond boy followed the two strange men to the outside of the tavern, which was now illuminated by the red moon.

A faint light suddenly appeared, and Frans lit the lantern hanging from his waist. He looked at the two fat sheep walking side by side, and his heart was filled with joy.

Storm is on its way!

Today must be his lucky day, because in just twelve hours, two business opportunities have come knocking on his door.

This morning, the steward from South Road and his master actually agreed to pay a high price to hire their boat to go out to sea at night in search of something of value.

As unethical adventurers and part-time pirates, Frans and his companions naturally took on the task, and even had further plans.

Luring the enemy to sea and robbing them of their money when they are most helpless and pitiful is a golden opportunity that no part-time pirate would miss!

Although doing so would turn him into a full-time pirate, who cares, especially now that there's a rich young master who's sneaked out of the house?

Just thinking about the gold pounds he could gain from this deal made Francis quicken his pace unconsciously, and he once again sincerely praised the Lord of Storms in his heart.

With the storm raging, after I finish this job, I'll go to church and donate one percent of all my earnings!
