Chapter 112 Run! There are wolves!

Chapter 112 Run! There are wolves! (First update)

Jerry flies through New York City every night on his flying broomstick, so he knows the city like the back of his hand.

So when he walked out of the alley, he immediately recognized that he was on a street in Manhattan, New York.

However, this street seems to differ from the street in New York in some details.

However, some iconic buildings remain the same.

"Excuse me, is this New York?"

Jerry stopped a blonde girl who was walking by and politely asked her what was wrong.

The girl looked to be about eighteen or nineteen years old. She was wearing a red scarf, a light gray coat, and fishnet stockings, and looked like a college student.

She gave the eleven or twelve-year-old boy in front of her a strange look, leaned down, and replied in as gentle a tone as possible:

"This is New York, little one. Are you lost? Why are you out alone so late? Do you need me to call the police?"

"Um, no, thank you, ma'am. May I ask what year it is?"

Jerry never expected that asking just anyone would lead him to such a kind-hearted person.

"Of course, it's 2010!"

The blonde girl's expression of suspicion deepened.

"2010, the timeline doesn't match up, it seems we really are from different worlds!"

Jerry breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. The main world wasn't 2010 anymore. He pulled a few US dollars from his pocket and stuffed them into the blonde girl's hand.

"Oh, thank you, this is a small token of my appreciation!"

The blonde girl stared at the US dollar in her hand, completely stunned.

What's going on? Why are you charging me for asking for directions? That's so strange, it makes her seem like a streetwalker.

"What the hell? Where is everyone?"

The girl looked up in the direction the little boy had left, only to find that he had disappeared without her noticing.

She shivered and, looking at the streets that were almost deserted at midnight, hurriedly quickened her pace to get home.

Above New York, Jerry, adorned with the Disillusionment Charm and riding a flying broomstick, carefully observed some of the darker alleyways below. Soon, he locked onto his target:

"As expected, no matter which world's New York, crime is always a problem!"

A moment later, in an alley, Jerry found a cell phone in the pocket of a robber who had been rendered unconscious by a sleeping spell, and then started surfing the internet on the phone.

In modern cities, the fastest way to understand what kind of world this is is, of course, to go online.

First of all, it can be confirmed that magic must exist in this world, because the function description on the panel clearly states that the second small world that can be pulled is a magical world.

Since it's a world with magic, it's impossible to be completely without any clues. With technology so advanced now, perhaps he'll soon be able to find some clues about magicians in the news.

An hour later.

"What the hell? How can it be so normal!"

Jerry put away his phone, somewhat speechless. The news was all normal news, with no trace of magic whatsoever.

It wasn't even like the main world; some of the extraordinary technological phenomena didn't exist. Just like his previous life, it felt like an ordinary world that couldn't be more normal.

After thinking about it, since I couldn't find it in the news, I figured I'd have to use the brute-force method of searching for it myself.

Once again mounted on his flying broomstick and activating Superman mode, Jerry planned to explore New York City tonight, hoping to uncover some clues about magic.

"Huh, why are there wolves in this city?"

However, less than five minutes into his patrol, he discovered that five strong gray wolves were frantically chasing a curly-haired youth on the street not far away.

Something unusual is bound to happen. Jerry isn't afraid of anything going wrong, he's just afraid of nothing going at all, which would mean a whole week has been wasted.

With a burst of speed, Jerry charged down the mountain on his flying broomstick.

After landing, Jerry put away his flying broom and deactivated his invisibility spell, walking towards the curly-haired youth.

"Run, kids! There are wolves behind you!"

When the curly-haired youth saw a boy appear on the deserted street, he immediately started running, shouting for Jerry to run faster.

Seeing that Jerry remained unmoved, the curly-haired youth helplessly yanked the lid of a public trash can by the roadside, turned around and stood in front of Jerry, seemingly intending to fight those gray wolves.

"Looks like he's a good person after all!"

Jerry looked at the curly-haired young man standing in front of him with a trash can, his legs shaking like a sieve, and couldn't help but think more highly of him.

"Little friend, these aren't dogs! Look closely, they're wolves, man-eating wolves! I'll hold them off now, you run!"

The curly-haired youth waved the trash can lid in his hand and shouted urgently to Jerry behind him.

When the curly-haired youth stopped, the five strong gray wolves immediately bared their teeth and pounced on him fiercely.

"His arrows never miss!"

Seeing this, Jerry waved his wand, and instantly more than a dozen arrows appeared out of thin air and shot towards the gray wolves.

"Awooooo!"

With several screams, the five gray wolves instantly transformed into five pages bearing images of gray wolves.

When Jerry saw the gray wolf turn into pages of a book, his eyes lit up.

Because this unusual phenomenon could very well be a kind of magic he had never seen before.

"You...you're a magician too?"

The curly-haired youth cried out in surprise when he saw Jerry swing a wooden stick and shoot out more than a dozen arrows.

"Oh? So you've met other magicians too!"

Jerry turned to look at the curly-haired youth.

The curly-haired youth pointed to a middle-aged, overweight man in the distance wearing a top hat and carrying a scepter inlaid with blue gemstones, who was slowly walking towards them, and replied:

"He's the magician. Those wolves were his illusions. But he's no good. We'd better run!"

"I think you have a point, but he doesn't seem to want us to escape!"

At this moment, Jerry, who was in Superman mode, also noticed the middle-aged fat man walking from a distance.

Actually, according to his original plan, it would be best not to clash with the magicians of this world since he did not know their strength at the moment.

However, the other side clearly did not intend to give him a chance to explain. After seeing him use the Arrow Spell to save the curly-haired youth, they waved their scepter without saying a word, and a ball of fire shot towards Jerry and the curly-haired youth.

"The Shapeshifting Stone Tablet!"

Seeing the flames flying towards him, Jerry grabbed the plastic trash can lid from the curly-haired youth's hand and cast a hardening spell on it to block the flames.

Seeing this, the middle-aged fat man lifted his coat, waved his scepter, and four daggers hidden under his coat flew towards the curly-haired youth and Jerry.

Moreover, the dagger's trajectory seemed to be controlled by the middle-aged fat man, as it actually made a turn in mid-air, nimbly bypassing the hard trash can lid in Jerry's hand, and shot towards the curly-haired youth and Jerry from the left and right sides respectively.
