Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 121 Jerry's Unsolicited Request

Chapter 121 Jerry's Unsolicited Request (Second Update)

After understanding the whole story, Jerry nodded and put away his wand.

"Dave, bring me the Hand of Death!"

Seeing that Jerry had put away his wand, Balthazar quickly called out to Dave, who was hiding behind the water tank on the roof.

Seeing that it was safe here and Horvas was under control, Dave jogged over, clutching the Grim Reaper's Hand.

"I never imagined that the fairy tale about wizards flying on broomsticks was real; I always thought it was just a fairy tale!"

As Dave handed the Hand of Death to Balthazar, he watched Jerry hovering in mid-air on a flying broomstick and couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.

Jerry smiled upon hearing this:

"This is a unique flight-assisting magical item from our Hogwarts school, but it's nothing compared to that big iron bird. It can't assist in combat. If you like, I can make one for you next time!"

As the successor to Merlin's power, Dave's future is limitless. It would naturally be beneficial to cultivate a good relationship with him while he is still a weakling.

"Really!"

Dave's tone was full of surprise.

Ten years have passed, and Dave still has the Dragon Ring on one finger, which shows that deep down he still has a strong attachment to magic and magic-related things.

"No, you won't succeed. I will definitely come back. Morgana will rule this world sooner or later. You have no chance!"

Under Balthazar's sealing magic, Horvas roared angrily, transformed into a swarm of demonic insects, and was sucked into the palm of Death.

And on the outermost layer of the Grim Reaper's Palm, another nesting doll appeared.

"Dave, alright, you can give me back the ring now. I'll keep my promise. You help me find the Hand of Death, and I won't interfere in your life anymore!"

Withdrawing the Grim Reaper's Hand, Balthazar reached out to Dave.

Dave touched the dragon ring on his hand, hesitating to take it off. Finally, he looked at Balthazar as if he had made a decision, and then tentatively asked:

"Can I... I want to learn magic?"

Upon hearing this, Balthazar immediately broke into a bright smile.

Jerry, standing to the side, shook his head. Dave had neither awakened Merlin's power nor learned magic, so having him around was simply a burden.

But Balthazar insisted on taking him along to find the Hand of Death.

So, wanting Dave's help was a pretense; the real purpose was to let Dave experience the charm of magic firsthand, so that he would fall in love with magic from the bottom of his heart again.

Clearly, Balthazar achieved his goal.

"Thank you, Mage Jerry. Without your help, we might not have been able to retrieve the Hand of Death so easily!"

After settling things off with Dave, Balthazar turned to Jerry and expressed his sincere gratitude.

Jerry, however, quickly put away his broom and waved his hand.

"It's nothing. Stopping Morgana from destroying the world is every mage's responsibility!"

However, after saying that, he pretended to hesitate and continued:

"Venerable Balthazar, I have a rather inappropriate request. Of course, if you feel it's inappropriate, you can refuse me immediately!"

"Oh, what's your request? Tell me, as long as it doesn't violate my principles, I'll definitely grant it!"

Balthazar greatly admired Jerry, this young mage with considerable skill. At such a young age, his magical prowess was extraordinary; he had defeated Sun Long and severely injured Horvas.

If the Dragon Ring hadn't already confirmed that Dave was Merlin's successor, he would have almost thought that Jerry was definitely Merlin's successor.

After all, at such a young age, with such magical talent, it's hard to imagine anyone else besides Merlin achieving that.

He felt that as long as it didn't violate his principles, he wouldn't refuse Jerry's request.

Jerry sighed:

"That's right. Our Hogwarts school has always been a single lineage, but not long after I started learning magic, my teacher passed away unexpectedly."

So later on, I taught myself some magic, but without guidance, there were still many things I didn't understand.

"The reason I came to New York is because my teacher once told me that there might be quite a few magicians here, so I wanted to come and see if I could further my studies in magic!"

Upon hearing Jerry's account, Balthazar was both shocked and amazed.

He never expected that Jerry, at his age, possessed such magical abilities, mostly through self-study without any systematic guidance.

That must require incredible magical talent!

"Mage Jerry, if you don't mind, you can learn magic with Dave and me. Feel free to ask me anything you don't understand!"

Balthazar agreed without waiting for Jerry to state his real request.

As a magician who has lived for two thousand years and witnessed the development and changes in human history, Balthazar no longer harbors any prejudice against any particular sectarian group.

His only thought now is to fulfill his teacher's last wish, find the owner of the Dragon Ring, kill Morgana completely, and rescue his lover.

With Jerry's magical potential, although he may not be able to match Dave in the future, he will definitely be a powerful magician who is no less than himself.

Guiding Jerry to improve his magical abilities is equivalent to cultivating a powerful ally, which will definitely be of great benefit in future battles against Morgana. How could he not be willing!

Moreover, Jerry did indeed help them a lot in retrieving Death's Hand.

"Then, thank you very much, Venerable Balthazar!"

Upon hearing Balthazar's reply, Jerry immediately broke into a wide smile.

Although he felt that Balthazar might not refuse his request, he was still very happy to hear that the other party agreed so readily.

With Balthazar's guidance, and the presence of the capable Sun Long in the box space, his progress in learning the magic of this world shouldn't be too slow.

"However, we need to find a place where we can train and learn magic, preferably somewhere secluded where ordinary people won't easily find us!"

Balthazar looked at Jerry and Dave and said.

Jerry shook his head:

"I haven't been in New York long and am currently staying in a hotel, so..."

"I have an idea!"

At this point, Dave raised his hand and suggested:

"I have a large laboratory in an abandoned subway tunnel. My professor used his connections to find it for me. The location is very secluded; ordinary people basically wouldn't go there!"

"Great, let's go there!"

Balthazar nodded and then looked at Jerry.

"I think it's pretty good too!"

Jerry doesn't care where he learns magic, as long as he can learn magic.

And so, under Balthazar's magic, the giant iron bird that had torn the pterosaur to shreds flew down again.

Jerry used several Disillusionment Spells in quick succession, and the three of them and the bird became invisible as they flew toward Dave's underground laboratory.
