Chapter 142 Professor Snape's Gift

Chapter 142 Professor Snape's Gift (Second Update)

"Thank you, Agent Hill. No need to trouble yourself to take me by helicopter; I can get back myself. I'll be back on time tomorrow morning!"

On the aircraft carrier deck, Jerry declined Hill's offer and flew away on his flying broomstick.

In fact, the helicopter wasn't much faster than his flying broom, and the aircraft carrier wasn't too far from New York City.

Jerry and Nick Fury just reached an agreement in the office.

Jerry is willing to come tomorrow on a private jet to Mexico to help investigate the secrets of Thor's hammer.

Nick Fury agreed to help Jerry crack the program of the twelve robot soldiers in his mirror, and also to help him make a controller that could remotely control the twelve robot soldiers, as well as to repair a few of the somewhat damaged robots.

In fact, Jerry initially planned to ask Iron Man to help with this, but later felt it was a waste of his talents and Iron Man's favor.

In addition, since S.H.I.E.L.D. had asked him for a favor, he simply handed it over to them.

As for whether S.H.I.E.L.D. might have tampered with the program while helping him crack it,

No doubt about it, I will definitely succeed!

However, Jerry wasn't worried at all, because he had no intention of using these twelve flying robots capable of launching modern firearms in this world.

He will then take all twelve robots to other worlds, and no matter what S.H.I.E.L.D. does inside the robots, it will be useless.

After seeing Jerry leave, Agent Hill returned to Fury's office.

"Chief, is it really a good idea to help the wizard crack these robot soldiers? He's just a kid, I'm afraid of him."

"fine!"

Director Fury looked at the haphazardly piled-up robot soldiers that Jerry had just dumped out of the mirror in the office and waved his hand.

In his view, the wizard's magic was no less lethal than that of these robot soldiers, especially the magic that shattered Ivan's armor in one blow, as captured on surveillance footage.

If the wizard really wanted to do something bad, having a few more robot soldiers wouldn't make a difference, and having a few less wouldn't make a difference either.

Moreover, the wizard stated during the negotiations that he did not need money, and that he would not go to New Mexico to help if this condition was not met.

"By the way, during the program hacking and repair process, install a covert tracking system inside each of my robot soldiers!"

"Okay, I understand, Chief!"

Upon hearing this, Hill understood that the director was still not convinced of the wizard's true identity and wanted to use these robots to locate the wizard so as to find out his true identity.

As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury always felt uneasy if he didn't find out the wizard's true identity.

From Nick's perspective, this isn't wrong, but from Jerry's perspective, in order to protect his family, he won't let Nick know his identity, at least not yet.

That's just how the world is. Sometimes there's no absolute right or wrong, no absolute justice or evil. Most of the time, it's just a matter of different perspectives.

"By the way, Chief, the wizard gave you a nickname, 'Braised Egg,' which I actually think is quite fitting!"

Before leaving the office, Hill suddenly remembered the meaning of "braised eggs" that he had just looked up on his phone, and made a rare joke.

"Braised eggs?"

Fury raised an eyebrow, somewhat puzzled. He thought the pronunciation of the word was strange, sounding somewhat like Mandarin.

He turned on his computer and used voice search to find the meaning of "braised egg". Soon he saw a large braised egg with its skin peeled on the screen.

Fury glanced at the computer, then at the mirror on the table, and smiled helplessly.

"...They really do look quite alike..."

Two o'clock in the morning.

Jerry, having arrived home, put away his broom and then looked at the control panel. The cooldown time for the small world had long since ended.

Now he can choose to re-enter the world of The Sorcerer's Apprentice, or re-enter the world of Harry Potter.

Without the slightest hesitation, Jerry chose the latter.

After a moment of disorientation, he opened his eyes again and found himself back in his room at the Leaky Cauldron.

I glanced at the clock and the magic calendar; it's January 1st, 1992, at 2 AM.

He spent a week in the world of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," and he also disappeared from that world for a week.

However, the room's furnishings remained unchanged, because he had paid for the room upfront until the start of the semester, so even when he wasn't at the bar, the room was still his.

However, the room now contained many more gifts and dozens of letters.

The gifts were, of course, because before he left, he had sent Christmas presents to every professor at the school and every classmate he knew, and these were the corresponding return gifts.

Similarly, the dozens of letters were likely replies from his lovely classmates.

Sure enough, Hermione, Harry, Ron, Daphne, Pansy, and oh, even Malfoy wrote back—that's quite a rare sight. Here's Professor Snape's reply:

"Merry Christmas, Jerry. This is the first time I've received a gift from a student—a rare Blood Crown. Excellent! I've already crafted it into a limb-regenerating potion, but I hope you'll never need it!"

"Professor Snape is so magnanimous!"

Upon seeing the reply, Jerry quickly found the limb-regenerating potion that Snape had given him among a pile of gifts.

Limb regeneration potion is a rare and high-grade potion in the entire potion market. As long as you don't die immediately, even if you lose half of your body, you can recover in a short time after drinking the limb regeneration potion.

Of course, if the damage inflicted contains a dark magic curse, then it will have no effect.

Even so, this potion is one of the most expensive potions in potion shops.

Jerry never expected that by simply giving him a rare Blood Crown, Snape would gather other rare herbs and personally concoct a limb regeneration potion for him.

To be honest, Jerry was actually quite touched.

After reading all the letters, Jerry carefully arranged the gifts and put them into the box.

Most of the gifts from his classmates were various magical snacks. Only Hermione, who understood him very well, gave him a spellbook. The gifts from the professors were generally more valuable, usually around ten Galleons.

The most valuable item was the limb-regenerating potion that Snape gave him.

It can only be said that Professor Snape truly favored Slytherin students, especially the outstanding ones, and he certainly didn't lack Galleons.

Jerry's greatest hope was placed in Dumbledore, who only gave him two knitting needles, even though those needles were enchanted and could knit on their own.

But it was of no use to him!
