Chapter 181 Jerry's Guess
Chapter 181 Jerry's Guesses (Third Update)
Thor nodded:
"Yes, the materials used to forge Thor's hammer are stronger than the Destroyer's Uru metal. Unfortunately, I can no longer lift it!"
"It's okay, I know how to solve it!"
Jerry turned to look at Captain America, who was holding a shield.
"Are you Captain America, Mr. Rogers?"
Jerry strode towards Captain America, who was holding a shield and looking at the Destroyer with a serious expression.
Steve paused for a moment, then nodded.
"Sure enough, it looks exactly like the one in the history books. I've thought of a way to deal with the Destroyer, but I need you and me to go to the base temporarily!"
If Jerry remembers correctly, Captain America can also wield Thor's hammer.
"no problem!"
Steve hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
He had already read all the information about the wizard before he came; he was a child full of a sense of justice and possessed magical abilities.
Now that the other party claims to have found a way to destroy the terrifying machine in front of him, he is still willing to believe them.
"You guys try to stall it for a while, remember, just stall it, I'm going to bring Thor's hammer!"
Jerry gave instructions to Tony and the others, then cast a levitation spell on the somewhat bewildered Captain America, pulling him along by his clothes as they flew quickly towards the base.
Thor, who was unable to help, watched Jerry leave and muttered to himself, scratching the back of his head:
"Shouldn't you have taken me with you to get Thor's hammer?"
He felt that if Jerry's magic could break the shackles of Thor's hammer, he should take Jerry, the real Thor, with him; what use was that guy with the shield?
Little did they know, Jerry had no ability to break Odin's seal; he was merely choosing a temporary master for Thor's hammer.
S.H.I.E.L.D. base
Jerry and Steve descended from the sky and landed where Thor's hammer was.
"Captain, pick up that hammer!"
"Me? Wasn't it said that only Thor from Asgard could lift it?"
Although Steve was a little confused about what was going on, he still walked up to Thor's hammer as instructed.
At this moment, Jerry noticed Steve's confusion and explained to him:
"It seems that this Mjolnir has been sealed with a special seal that tests people's hearts. I discovered through my unique detection magic that to pick up this Mjolnir, one may not necessarily have to be Thor himself. As long as one can pass its test, one can do so!"
And right now, I think the only one most likely to withstand the test is you, Captain!
There's no such thing as detective magic, but as long as Jerry doesn't say anything, who will know he's lying?
After all, magic is inexplicable, and the various magical spells he has displayed so far have been quite amazing, so adding another detection spell is not unreasonable.
Steve nodded upon hearing this and reached out to grab the handle of Thor's hammer.
However, just as he exerted force to lift Thor's hammer by about one millimeter, it suddenly slipped from his grasp and flew like a shooting star toward the place where they had just fought.
Immediately afterwards, Jerry saw a sudden, deafening clap of thunder, followed by countless bolts of lightning striking down from the clouds.
"Captain, let's go back and check!"
Jerry grabbed Steve's leather jacket and quickly flew back to the battlefield.
As soon as he flew near the battlefield, he saw Thor wearing a silver armor and a red cape, swinging Mjolnir and creating a whirlwind, smashing the Destroyer to pieces with a single combo.
He fully demonstrated his hammer-wielding skills, which he had accumulated over a thousand years of experience.
"Holy crap, what's going on?"
Jerry was also a little confused at this point.
His plan was that since Thor couldn't wield Mjolnir for the time being, Captain America could have it too, since Captain America with Mjolnir would definitely be just as powerful.
Once Captain America has dealt with the Destroyer, he'll figure out how to slowly break the seal on Thor.
But now, who can tell him how Thor's seal was broken?
"Wizard, you are truly amazing! I never imagined you would actually break the Father God's seal!"
After Thor dealt with the Destroyer, he saw Jerry appear, immediately flew to Jerry with Mjolnir, and gave him a big hug.
Jerry, on the other hand, was even more bewildered.
"You guys wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I need to go back and have a good talk with my brother, but before that, I need to say goodbye to Jane first!"
After hugging Jerry, Thor said something to the Warriors Three and Sif, the goddess of war, and then flew towards Oldbridge with his hammer.
"Coulson, what just happened?"
After Jerry put Steve down, he immediately found Coulson, who had been providing support from a distance with a group of agents who were using pistols.
After some investigation, he learned what had happened after he left.
It turns out that after Jerry left with Steve, everyone except Thor used their own methods to delay the Destroyer.
Tony flew through the air, harassing and attacking with various modern weapons, while the Warriors Three and Sif, with their bodies several times larger than ordinary humans, fought head-on in close combat.
Hawkeye Barton and Coulson, among others, used arrows and pistols as auxiliary weapons.
However, it was clear that their attacks could not inflict even the slightest damage on the Destroyer, but they did manage to delay it.
But not long after, Thor, who was hiding to the side, suddenly burst into lightning all over his body without warning. Then, he was covered in silver armor and summoned Mjolnir with a wave of his hand.
Now, everyone believes that Jerry took Captain America to the base and found a way to break Odin's seal.
Jerry frowned and pondered for a moment, then suddenly froze, and muttered to himself:
"Old ginger is spicier!"
He had just gone through the entire Thor incident from beginning to end, and then combined it with some things he had heard in his previous life, and finally came up with a possible explanation for what had just happened.
That is, perhaps Odin is not asleep, or perhaps Odin is aware of everything that is happening now.
Think about it, as the most powerful god who unified the nine realms, how could Odin not notice a few frost giants sneaking into Asgard's treasury?
Furthermore, without Odin's consent, Heimdall would open the Bifrost for Thor, allowing Thor and his companions to go to Jotunheim to deal with the Frost Giants.
And it was such a coincidence that just after Thor was stripped of his divine power and banished to Earth, Odin fell into a deep sleep. Wasn't this clearly telling Loki that he could do whatever he wanted?
Therefore, Jerry, combining all the events that had occurred before and after, made a bold guess.
That is, from beginning to end, all of this was designed by Odin, the king of the gods. It was a trial and test for his two sons, Thor and Loki.
