Chapter 237 War Conference

Chapter 237 War Conference (First Update)

"Neither Hawkeye nor Dr. Eric were controlled by the Mind Scepter. It seems those two aliens didn't need to use Earth's technology; they had other ways to use the Tesseract to open the portal!"

Jerry remembered that in Avengers 1, Loki relied on Dr. Erik's research to open the portal and lead the Chitauri army to Earth.

Aside from killing the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who attacked them, the two aliens did not use the Mind Scepter to control anyone.

"Hovering power test complete, power cycle in place, horsepower increased by 8%"

Just as Jerry and Fury were chatting, voice announcements suddenly began to play one after another in the command center. Immediately afterwards, he clearly felt that the entire space carrier seemed to be rising.

"It seems they've all arrived!"

Nick Fury finally managed a smile when he saw the aircraft carrier take off.

He knew that only when everyone was present would the vice-captain Hill order the space carrier to take off.

Sure enough, as soon as Fury finished speaking, Jerry saw Black Widow, wearing a S.H.I.E.L.D. bodysuit, walk in with a group of people.

At first glance, almost everyone there was someone I knew.

Just last week, Jerry accompanied Thor, who is wielding his hammer, to Asgard to learn magic from Frigga.

Tony, wearing the Iron Man suit, was the prototype of Haas's miniature cannon, which Jerry asked Tony to help him build when they first returned to the main world.

Captain America, dressed in a brown leather jacket from the 1940s, was someone Jerry had previously taken to retrieve Thor's hammer.

The last one, although Jerry didn't recognize him, he guessed it should be Dr. Banner, the Hulk who had helped him during the fight against Abomination.

"Hey, Jay and the others said you'd come, and they weren't kidding!"

Thor was about to hug Jerry when he saw him, but he was stopped by a sharp look from Jerry before he could even utter the first word.

"What Jie?"

Tony opened his helmet, looking somewhat bewildered.

"It's J, that's the nickname Saul gave me. You can call me that from now on!"

Jerry explained calmly.

"Oh, that's good. It feels a bit awkward calling you 'Miss Wizard' every time!"

Tony nodded.

"Hello, I'm Robert Bruce Banner, also known as... the Hulk. Thank you for your help at Greyburn Academy!"

When Dr. Banner saw Jerry, he went up to him and thanked him.

Jerry smiled and nodded:

"I only helped a little; it was mainly up to you!"

At this moment, Captain America, who was looking at the mothership's command center with a look of surprise, also came over to greet Jerry, and then took out ten dollars from his pocket and handed it to Fury.

"Ready to set sail at full speed."

Power output is increased to its maximum.

The power unit has reached its peak performance.

Ready and running at full speed.

Emergency Protocol 193.6 of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been implemented!

Reports echoed through the command hall, and finally, Vice President Hill walked up to Fury:

"Sir, the aircraft carrier has reached its designated altitude!"

Fury smiled and accepted the ten dollars Captain America handed him, ordering:

"Okay, let's make it invisible!"

"Simulated reflector activated. Reflector activated successfully. Entering stealth mode!"

The space carrier, which had just taken off from the sea, instantly went into stealth mode and disappeared into the air.

"Alright, gentlemen, we need to go to the conference room to discuss our next battle plan!"

Seeing that the entire space carrier had fully entered the pre-order phase, Nick Fury turned to the group of people who were already chatting and said.

"Wouldn't it be inconvenient to look at three monitors with only one eye?"

Tony, who had already taken off his Iron Man suit, walked to the monitor on the captain's console, covered his eyes and made a joke before leaving the command room with the others.

Jerry, whose five senses were always active, keenly noticed that as Tony turned around, he affixed a button-sized device to the main unit of the captain's control panel.

Aircraft Carrier Combat Conference Room.

"So, our mission this time is to capture these two... uh... aliens, is that right?"

Captain America, watching the scene of the battle between the two aliens and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents repeatedly playing on the projector, confirmed it in a solemn tone.

Nick Fury nodded.

"Yes, they've been missing ever since they stole the Cosmic Cube three days ago."

We are now scanning cameras, mobile phones, and laptops all over the world—anything that can connect to satellites is our surveillance network.

"That won't work. You need to narrow down the scope. How many spectrometers can you access right now?"

Dr. Banner interrupted with a question.

Fury replied without hesitation:

How much do you need?

"Then let's gather all the current spectrometers together above, calibrate them to search for gamma rays, and I'll use cluster analysis to draft a tracking algorithm. This way, we can at least quickly eliminate several areas!"

Dr. Banner rattled off a string of technical terms, leaving everyone present bewildered.

"Thor, do you know these aliens?"

Jerry turned to Thor and asked.

Thor shook his head:

"I don't recognize them, but I'm certain they're not from the Nine Realms; they must be from some other force outside the Nine Realms!"

It seems that at this point, Thor was not very clear about Thanos and his related forces, but Jerry guessed that Odin definitely knew about Thanos's deeds.

It remains to be seen whether Odin will send Asgardian soldiers to help once the Chitauri army arrives.

"What I'm really concerned about right now is, there are only two of them, so why are they so confident they can conquer the entire Earth? And they claim to be Thanos's son, so who is Thanos?"

Tony then voiced his own question.

In his view, the two aliens did indeed demonstrate considerable strength, but to think that they could conquer Earth with just the strength of two people would be utterly absurd.

The two aliens didn't seem like idiots, especially the tall, thin one, so he guessed there must be some other reason.

"If the Tesseract can open a portal to teleport them here, it can also teleport other people here. Could they be planning to use the Tesseract's power to bring a large alien army to invade Earth?"

At this point, Jerry directly revealed the answer.

He knew the two aliens intended to use the power of the Tesseract to open a portal to Earth, unleashing the Chitauri army to conquer it. He just didn't know where they would open it.

Dr. Banner, who was standing to the side, nodded in agreement.

"According to the information, as long as the Rubik's Cube is heated to 1.2 billion Kelvin and stabilized, a quantum tunnel large enough to be opened and maintained for a period of time can be created..."

"We anticipated that, so the most important thing now is to find their location and stop them!"

These issues have already been analyzed by S.H.I.E.L.D. experts in the past few days. The most important thing now is to capture the two aliens and retrieve the Tesseract while minimizing harm to innocent people.
