Chapter 333 Bold Demon, Show Yourself!

Chapter 333 Audacious Demon, Show Yourself! (Third Update)

"Jerry, if you didn't look normal, I would definitely think you had giant blood like Hagrid."

Brushing the snow off his body, Ron took out the chubby, spotted dog from his pocket, checked it to make sure it was okay, and then complained to Jerry.

Harry and Hermione nodded in agreement.

Not only was he fast and quick-witted, but with that last move, Jerry actually rolled a snowball taller than them, giving them a home run.

Jerry chuckled but offered no explanation, only giving Scabbers in Ron's hand a meaningful look:

"Ron, your spotted disease is cured, and you seem to have gained a lot of weight!"

"Okay, ever since Halloween, it suddenly has been energetic and has a great appetite. It's even gained weight since it got sick!"

Ron lifted Scabbers up, clearly delighted.

After returning from Egypt during the summer vacation, his beloved pet Banban seemed to be sick. It refused to eat, often trembled, and became thinner and thinner. Even when he went to the Magical Animals Store in Diagon Alley to buy rat tonic, it didn't help.

But for some reason, after Halloween, Banban suddenly got better. He ate with great relish, stopped trembling, and slept comfortably in his pocket every day.

"Of course he's fat, Sirius has been thrown into Azkaban again."

Jerry knew in his heart that Scabbers wasn't sick at all. He was just terrified of Sirius Black, afraid that Sirius would catch him and tear him to pieces, so he was always on edge.

Now that Sirius has been captured, he has naturally relaxed his vigilance and no longer has any concerns.

"Do you know what spell I used to restore Sirius from his Animagus form to his human form?"

As the four were preparing to return, Jerry suddenly asked a question.

Hermione immediately raised her hand reflexively and replied:

"I know, it's the Restoration Charm, a spell that can forcibly remove a wizard's Animagus form."

"Yes, and if the target is not an Animagus but an ordinary animal, then the spell will not work and will not have any negative effect on that animal."

Jerry then added.

"Jerry, why are you suddenly talking about this spell?"

Harry sensed something was amiss and asked in confusion.

Jerry chuckled, then looked at Scabbers in Ron's hand, his tone teasing:

"Because I suspect that Ron's pet Scabbers is actually an Animagus!"

"What?"

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were stunned by what they heard.

And the spotted rat in Ron's hand froze.

"Impossible! Banban has been with our family for over ten years. You must be joking!"

Ron looked at the spotted creature in his hand, clearly not believing it could be an Animagus.

"Why don't we try and see? It won't hurt him anyway."

Jerry shrugged and pulled his wand from his wizard robes.

At that moment, when Scabbers saw Jerry take out his wand, he suddenly flipped over and was about to jump off Ron's hand. Ron hurriedly grabbed his tail, but Scabbers bit him back and he had to let go.

"Restore to its original form!"

Unfortunately, as soon as Banban landed, before it could even run away, a blue magical ray that Jerry had anticipated and shot out accurately struck its body.

"I can tell you're not human at first glance, you audacious monster! I'll expose your true form..."

(Jerry's inner monologue)

As you can see, Banban is like a fast-forwarded version of a tree growing, first a head appears, then limbs, and finally the body.

A moment later, the spot where the ground had been covered with blemishes was replaced by a very short, fat man with sparse, messy hair and a bald patch on his head. He looked both sleazy and filthy.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Peter Pettigrew!"

Seeing that Scabbers had returned to human form, Jerry ended his inner monologue and greeted him with a smile.

Peter Pettigrew clearly didn't want to reply. His tiny eyes were filled with shock. He couldn't understand why he had been able to disguise himself for twelve years without any flaws, and why a little wizard had seen through him and even called out his name.

However, he didn't stand there in a daze for long. Once he came to his senses, he immediately turned around and ran wildly into the depths of the grove.

No way! This guy in front of me isn't some ordinary little wizard. He's a formidable character who can defeat Sirius Black single-handedly without a scratch. He's no match for him. Besides, his wand isn't with him right now. It's best to run for the time being.

"Those short legs may run fast, but it's useless!"

Jerry points his wand:

"They'll all be petrified!"

A simple full-body binding spell froze Peter Pettigrew in place.

Aside from a few truly skilled individuals, wizards without a wand will generally lose 90% of their battle chances.

"What exactly is going on?"

After Pettigrew was frozen in place, Harry, Ron, and Hermione finally recovered from the shock of Scabbers turning into a human.

"Jerry, how do you know Scabbers is an Animagus? And I just heard you call him Peter Pettigrew, didn't Peter Pettigrew die twelve years ago?"

Hermione asked the question immediately.

Jerry led Hermione and the other two to Peter Pettigrew, who was frozen in place, and then handed them the Marauder's Map, saying:

"It all started with the Marauder's Map that Fred and George gave me."

Jerry spent a lot of time studying the Marauder's Map during this period.

It's important to know that Marauder's Map can display the name and location of everyone who appears in the castle, and this information cannot be hidden regardless of whether the person is invisible or using Animagus.

This feature is quite interesting.

Now that he has brought out the Marauder's Map, he must have already mastered the magic within it.

With Jerry's current level of magic, studying this magical artifact made by James, Sirius, and Lupin during their school days shouldn't be too difficult.

Marauder's Map may seem magical, but the principle behind it is actually quite simple.

It mainly utilizes magic to detect magical power and a bit of mind-reading techniques like Legilimency.

Each wizard has their own magical energy fluctuations, and the Marauder's Map uses these fluctuations to pinpoint a wizard's location within the castle.

If a wizard can shield magical energy fluctuations, such as with Jerry's Concealment Charm, or go to a place where magical energy fluctuations can be shielded, such as the Room of Requirement, then the Marauder's Map will no longer be able to detect the wizard's location.

The reason why a wizard's real name appears on the Marauder's Map when he enters the castle is because the Marauder's Map reads a part of the wizard's thoughts, specifically about his name.

Of course, to actually create such a magical item, one must be familiar enough with the entire castle; otherwise, if the creator has never been there, it will not appear on the Marauder's Map.

Such as the rooms on the fourth floor where the Philosopher's Stone is stored under the trapdoor, and the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin.

The Weasley family's clock, which displays the location and status of family members, bears many similarities to the Marauder's Map.
