Chapter 357 The Arrival of the Dark Elf Race
Chapter 357 The Dark Elf Race Arrives (6000+ words)
One day earlier, on the Airbus aircraft.
Coulson's team was celebrating their successful dismantling of a high-powered weapon when a message suddenly came into Coulson's phone.
"We have a mission. There are suspected cases of people with superpowers appearing near the University of Greenwich in London. Headquarters needs us to go there to investigate and register them in the directory."
"A superhuman with the same abilities as Chen Haoran?"
Skye, who possesses powerful hacking skills, exclaimed in surprise.
There was a mission where Chen Haoran, a registered S.H.I.E.L.D. superhuman, was kidnapped by an unknown force to be used for human experiments. When their team went to rescue him, they were almost burned to a crisp.
"This one should be even more powerful than Chen Haoran. The intelligence reports that she sent more than twenty police officers flying, including their police cars!"
Coulson's expression was somewhat grave.
"Fitz, headquarters has already sent the details of the superhuman to Airbus. Go and retrieve them."
"Yes, sir."
A short, genius mechanical physics expert, who looked to be in his early twenties, strode to the control panel. After a series of dazzling operations, a virtual screen immediately sprang up from the control panel.
Daisy Louise, Columbia University graduate student
"Is it her?"
Coulson let out a soft exclamation upon seeing the photo on the screen.
May, a flight and field agent familiar with Coulson, raised an eyebrow:
"Coulson, do you know her?"
"I met her once, in New Mexico, when she was Thor's girlfriend's intern assistant."
Colson gave a general account of what happened in New Mexico that year.
"Could this be related to the Asgardians?"
Field agent Grant analyzed.
Coulson pondered for a moment:
"We'll only know when we get there. Alright, regardless of whether it's related to the Asgardians or not, we have to deal with it. Now, the Airbus is turning around; we're heading to London!"
"Wow, they're all familiar faces!"
Jerry stepped through the portal, and what came into view, besides Thor and Jane, was Coulson and several members of his S.H.I.E.L.D. team. The location was none other than the large plane from that day.
"My good buddy Jerry, long time no see!"
When Thor saw Jerry appear, he immediately gave him a big hug.
"Long time no see, Saul. Where's Daisy? Can you tell me what happened?"
After hugging Thor, Jerry looked around but didn't see Daisy, whom Thor had mentioned, so he asked her.
"Daisy has fainted and is in the medical room. She is being examined by a lady named Gemma. I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Actually, Jane and I only arrived here recently. You'll have to ask Cole's son for more details."
Thor turned to Coulson, signaling him to explain.
So, a helpless Coulson stepped forward and explained the whole story.
After receiving the intelligence yesterday, they rushed to Greenwich, London as quickly as possible.
At the time, Daisy was surrounded by a group of police officers and SWAT teams in the unfinished building, according to information provided by the police and the intern who was with Daisy.
Daisy and the intern went to investigate the unfinished building after discovering a strange gravity phenomenon. Daisy suddenly disappeared for five hours, and the intern had to call the police for help.
Strangely, not long after the police arrived at the unfinished building, Daisy suddenly reappeared out of nowhere.
However, when the police asked them to come to the police station for questioning on grounds of trespassing, Daisy suddenly unleashed a powerful energy that sent the police officers and nearby police cars flying.
The experienced Coulson guessed that Daisy might have undergone some special change during those five hours, so he took over the unfinished building with the privileges of S.H.I.E.L.D. and then comforted Daisy through conversation.
However, Daisy said she had already contacted Jane and Saul and would only leave the unfinished building once Saul and the others arrived.
Then it became quite simple. Thor and Jane appeared and boarded the Airbus with Daisy. Thor sensed the powerful energy within Daisy and believed that mortal technology could not solve the problem, so he sought out Jerry.
"Do you know what Daisy went through during those five hours she disappeared?"
Jerry stroked his chin, feeling that Daisy's energy was likely related to the five hours that had disappeared.
Jane, standing next to Thor, replied:
"Just before boarding the plane, Daisy told me that while she was investigating in the building, she was suddenly sucked into a mysterious space. She saw some symbols that looked like those left behind when the Rainbow Bridge teleported her, and then she felt something enter her body. When she came to her senses, she was back in the building."
"Sir, our instruments can only detect that Miss Daisy has a very large amount of energy in her body, but we cannot detect the nature of the energy, nor can we remove it."
Just then, Gemma Simmons, the brilliant biology expert whom Jerry had saved earlier, walked into the conference room with the test report.
"Mr. Wizard!"
Upon seeing Jerry appear, Gemma's face immediately lit up with surprise.
Last time, because she was too emotional and the wizard left too quickly, she didn't have a chance to properly express her gratitude to the wizard for saving her life.
"Hello, Miss Gemma, are you alright now?"
Jerry greeted him with a smile.
I heard Coulson say last time that Gemma is a very talented biologist, which might come in handy when he starts researching wizarding bloodlines.
"Thank you, I've fully recovered!"
Jerry nodded, then looked at Coulson:
"Take me to Miss Daisy's place!"
"Have all those Hydra spies been captured?"
Walking down the aisle, Jerry asked Coulson, who was standing next to him.
Coulson shook his head helplessly:
"After I told the director the information, he has been investigating in secret and has already found some clues, but we will have to wait another month or two to catch them all in one fell swoop."
The wizard's true identity is considered high-level intelligence within S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intelligence system, and only a handful of people have the authority to view it.
Furthermore, the fact that they went so far as to kill a Level 6 agent infiltrating S.H.I.E.L.D. in order to avoid being tracked by the wizards further demonstrates that there is definitely a very high-level Hydra spy hidden within S.H.I.E.L.D.
So after receiving Coulson's secret report, Nick Fury simply gathered a few of his most trusted agents and began a clandestine investigation, hoping to find out how many Hydra spies S.H.I.E.L.D. had hidden before the other side noticed, and then take them all down in one fell swoop.
"If you need any help, feel free to contact me!"
Jerry nodded without saying anything more, and took out a magic mirror and tossed it to Coulson.
Once Nick Fury has exposed all the Hydra spies, he can go and help them, which will earn him a lot of votes and allow Nick Fury to owe him a favor afterward—a win-win situation.
"That's wonderful!"
Coulson took the magic mirror, his eyes lighting up.
"Don't bother me with small things. I'm usually busy. Contact me only if you encounter something big that you can't handle. And you should know my rules: either pay me or give me something of value."
Nick Fury took the magic mirror that was originally given to Coulson, so now he's given Coulson another one.
Coulson's team specializes in handling unconventional and special events. They might encounter some major incidents at any time, making it a good channel for small-time agents that shouldn't be overlooked.
"This is it! Miss Daisy couldn't withstand the repeated energy blasts she unleashed to resist the police attacks inside the building, and she fainted as soon as she boarded the plane!"
Gemma, who was walking at the front, entered a series of passwords and opened a transparent, high-strength bulletproof glass door. Inside, Daisy was lying on the bed with her eyes closed, fast asleep.
Jane, somewhat worried, stepped forward to touch Daisy, but Saul grabbed her and stopped her.
"The energy within her body is very unstable; it's best not to stimulate her."
"Except for Thor, all of you, get outside!"
As a magician, Jerry's perception was far superior to Thor's. As soon as he entered the room, he sensed the enormous energy within Daisy's body, and quickly discovered that it was not just ordinary energy.
So he told everyone except Thor to go outside and wait.
Because if the energy inside were to erupt, everyone except him and Thor could be injured.
Hearing Jerry's slightly serious words, Coulson did not hesitate and waved his hand to lead his team members to retreat outside the glass door.
Jane glanced at Saul, and then followed him out.
"What's going on? Is it dangerous?"
Thor asked.
Jerry nodded:
"I can sense that the energy within Daisy contains extremely complex fundamental laws of the universe, possibly something similar to the Cosmic Cube and the Mind Scepter. I suspect it is the legendary Aether particle."
Jerry might not have been able to make that decision before going to Kamar-Taj.
During this time, he read extensively from the Kamar-Taj Library every day and frequently consulted the Ancient One about related knowledge, thus learning a great deal of hidden information.
This includes the identity of the Ancient One as the guardian of the Infinity Stones, as well as the origins and related abilities of the six Infinity Stones that Thanos will collect in the future.
Based on his perception and comparison with the Cosmic Cube and Mind Scepter he had seen before, he made a preliminary judgment that what was inside Daisy's body was likely the Aether particles formed from the Reality Stone.
The Tesseract, representing the Space Stone, is in Odin's Vault in Asgard; the Chitauri Mind Scepter, representing the Mind Stone, is in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D.; and the Eye of Agamotto, representing the Time Stone, is in the hands of the Ancient One.
The cosmic orb representing the Power Stone is, according to the book, located on a distant planet countless light-years away from Earth. The Aether representing the Reality Stone was sealed by Odin's father, Bor, in an unknown place within the Nine Realms.
Finally, the most mysterious Soul Stone is not even mentioned in a single book in the library of Kamar-Taj. It is only mentioned that there is a guardian and that one must pass a test to obtain it.
Therefore, after much thought, he concluded that the constantly changing energy within Daisy's body, which possessed countless fundamental laws of the universe, was most likely the Aether particle representing the Reality Stone.
Since Earth is one of the Nine Realms, Daisy may have accidentally touched Bohr's seal. As for why Daisy was able to enter the place where Bohr sealed the ether particles, he didn't know.
"The ether particle, wasn't that destroyed by Grandpa?"
Thor looked surprised when he heard the word "ether particle".
Jerry was equally surprised:
"Destroyed? The records I saw say it was sealed away."
"I heard it from my father when I was a child. He said that the Dark Elves wanted to use the Aether to return the universe to darkness. Then my grandfather led us Asgardian warriors to kill all the Dark Elves and destroy the Aether."
Thor recalled that more than a thousand years ago, when he was a child, Odin told him and his brother Loki the story of their grandfather's battle against the dark elves and the protection of the Nine Realms.
"It seems that either your grandfather lied to your father god, or your father god lied to you, because the ether particles are now inside Daisy's body."
Jerry shrugged.
The account of Bohr sealing the Aether particle was found in a book on the Ancient One's private bookshelf.
The author of that book was none other than the Ancient One herself.
The Time Stone possesses the ability to see into the past and future, and he estimated that these secrets were learned and recorded by the Ancient One through the Time Stone.
"Alright, whatever you do, can you save Daisy? Otherwise, Jane will be heartbroken!"
Thor could understand the possibility that the Father might be lying to him, since the Father had never told him before that Loki was the son of the Snow Giant and not his biological brother.
The key now is whether we can remove the aether particles from Daisy's body so that she can return to normal.
"I'm not sure either. We'll have to try to find out, which is why I made them all go out."
Jerry slowly walked to the unconscious Daisy's side and gently extended a bit of his spiritual power to examine her.
The Reality Stone possesses the powerful ability to turn any idea into reality, defying all scientific laws, and is also one of the most difficult gems to control.
Even though it was Jerry's first time making contact, he couldn't guarantee that he could safely remove it from Daisy's body.
"Actually, to be honest, I think it's safest for you to take her to Asgard. After all, this Aether was sealed by your grandfather, and His Majesty Odin must have a way to safely retrieve it."
"I'm afraid that won't work. I can no longer return to Asgard, at least not in the short term."
Thor's tone was full of helplessness.
Before Jerry could ask why, he started rambling on and on:
"When I returned to Asgard last time, the Father God learned from Heimdall that Jane and I had quarreled. He thought I would never return to Midgard and was very happy. He even wanted to hold another grand ceremony to pass the throne to me."
However, I later felt I was still worried about Jane, so I declined.
The Father God was furious and commanded Heimdall not to open the Rainbow Bridge for me again, so I will be unable to return to Asgard for some time…”
Saul dared not tell Jane about this distressing situation, so he confided in Jerry instead.
Jerry listened to Thor's rambling behind him and couldn't help but shake his head.
Whether it's domestic or international, whether it's on Earth or another planet, anything involving this is bound to be a mess.
"Saul, I have a suggestion for you: have a child with Jane soon!"
With a child, even if Odin dislikes Jane, he probably won't object anymore.
"Oh, I like this idea!"
Thor's eyes lit up, and he turned to look at Jane, who looked worried, through the glass wall.
Jane shivered when she saw Saul's intense yet subtle gaze.
"boom!"
Just then, a powerful energy surged from Daisy's body. Caught off guard, Thor was thrown back by the energy, his large face slamming hard against the bulletproof glass wall. The crowd watching from outside the glass wall took a step back in fright.
Fortunately, Thor's body was exceptionally strong. The impact, enough to break several ribs of an ordinary person, only caused him some facial pain.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!"
Thor got up, moved his mouth and nose, and quickly waved to Jane outside with a silly grin to indicate that he was fine.
Outside the glass wall, Skye, a mixed-race beauty with Asian features, whispered to Gemma beside her:
"So this is what the Thunder God in mythology is like? Why does he seem a bit... silly to me?"
"Coulson said they're actually aliens, just older than us. They're a bit dim-witted, but he seems to have a great physique. And here's a secret: the wizard has a great physique too, the last time he hugged me..."
Gemma and Skye, the two girls, stood at the back and whispered to each other.
"This is a bit troublesome!"
Jerry dispersed the armor spell that had just blocked the energy shockwave, stopped casting magic, and walked out of the medical room.
"What's wrong, Jerry? You can't do anything about it either?"
Thor followed and came out to ask.
Jerry shook his head:
"I do have a way to remove the ether particles from her body, but as you can see, during the removal process, the ether particles keep releasing energy waves to resist."
"You're worried that the energy wave will destroy the plane? Then we can land first, find an open area, and then retrieve the ether particles."
Thor thought he understood Jerry's meaning and immediately offered his suggestion.
Gemma, who was standing at the very back, raised her hand to explain:
"I think the wizard isn't worried about the plane, but about Miss Daisy's health. According to the examination we just conducted, we found that every time Miss Daisy releases energy, it puts a great burden on her body. If too much energy is released, Miss Daisy's body may explode."
Jerry nodded upon hearing this, saying that while it wasn't entirely correct, it was close enough.
He just conducted a detailed examination of Daisy's body while trying to avoid the energy rebound of the ether particles.
They also tried to use magic to forcibly pull the aether particles out of Daisy's body while protecting her as much as possible.
Unfortunately, Daisy was just an ordinary person, at most physically healthy. Her body was simply not strong enough to withstand the energy fluctuations constantly released when the aether particles resisted. Although she wouldn't explode under Jerry's magic protection, she would likely be killed by the shock in the end.
It can only be said that the bodies of ordinary humans on Earth are simply too weak. If it were someone like Thor, or even the most ordinary Asgardian, they wouldn't have this problem.
Or perhaps Daisy is a highly trained agent, similar to the skilled Black Widow, or May, the Chinese-American agent who always stands by Coulson's side.
"Isn't there any other way?"
Thor noticed Jane's face paled slightly and turned to look at Jerry.
Jerry smiled:
"Of course there is, but not here; you have to go somewhere else."
He indeed had no way to extract the Aether without harming Daisy, but he knew someone who definitely could.
That is the Sorcerer Supreme—the Ancient One!
The living room of Kamar-Taj in the Himalayas.
Gu Yi was stirring the milk tea she had just made, following Jerry's suggestion.
Since drinking milk tea, she feels that adding honey to tea is far inferior to drinking milk tea.
Just as she was about to start tasting it, she suddenly looked up at the open space in the center of the living room.
A second later, a portal slowly appeared.
It was Jerry who opened a portal to Kamar-Taj on the Airbus.
"Good afternoon, Ancient One!"
Jerry, carrying Daisy, stepped out of the portal first, followed by Thor and Jane, who looked on in astonishment.
Good afternoon, Mage Carmen!
When Gu Yi saw it was Jerry, she smiled and nodded, then glanced at Daisy in Jerry's arms and sighed softly.
"The reappearance of the Aether particle, sealed for five thousand years, is not a good omen!"
After sighing, she smiled again and greeted Jane and Saul gently.
"Welcome to Kamar-Taj, Dr. Foster, and His Majesty Thor of Asgard."
"I have met the Ancient One!"
Jane and Thor were somewhat surprised that the Ancient One knew them, but they still responded politely.
Jerry noticed that the Ancient One showed no surprise at his and Jane's appearance, and could even accurately call out Jane and Thor's names.
Then we know that when the Ancient One used the Time Stone to observe the future, she saw the possibility of their arrival among many possibilities.
"Ancient One, could you remove the Aether particles from Daisy's body?"
"Of course, but before that, we need to solve one problem!"
Gu Yi placed the teapot containing milk tea on the table and looked up through the window at the cloudless sky.
Meanwhile, a colossal warship, operating in stealth mode, has already passed through countless wormholes and arrived outside of Earth.
The Dark Elf's spaceship was awakened by the Aether particle.
"I never imagined that after five thousand years, the backward Midgard would have transformed itself from a primitive state and become so prosperous!"
Maleski, with his hands behind his back, looked through the warship's glass at the blue planet below and the satellites floating around it, and let out a sigh.
For him, five thousand years of slumber was just a moment. He vaguely remembered the great battle before he fell asleep, and the Central Court, which often served as the battlefield of the Nine Realms.
"It can only be said that they have entered a low-level technological civilization; to us, they are still utterly vulnerable!"
A strong dark elf standing nearby said with a disdainful look.
In their eyes, Earth's current technological civilization is not even capable of exploring the universe; it can only remain on the surface of planets and is certainly not powerful. Their real adversary is Asgard.
Malekith nodded, a glint of light flashing in his eyes:
"Yes, even the strongest ants are still just ants, but what we need to do is let the Dark Elves rule the entire universe!"
