Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 407 Cooperation with the Raiders
Chapter 407 Cooperation with the Raiders (Third Update)
It turns out that during the three days Jerry entered the world of Magic Cards, he searched through most of the movie, anime, and comic resources in New York, but found no clues about Marvel stories.
So three days later, he decisively returned to the main Marvel universe.
He needs a month to cool down before re-entering the small world. After a month, he plans to visit the world of "The Apprentice of a Magician," which he hasn't been to in a long time, and spend a few days there to see if he can find any relevant clues.
In the world of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," the current time should be 2011. If Marvel movies exist, then according to the timeline, several movies should have been released by now.
If he remembered correctly, in his previous life, his colleague dragged him to see the release of "The Avengers" in 2012.
Of course, there's also a high chance it will be like the Card World, with nothing at all.
After all, everything before was just his conjecture, and there was no concrete evidence to prove whether it was true.
However, even if none of the three worlds ultimately materialize, and new small worlds emerge in the future, he will still pay close attention to this aspect.
"It's time to relax and enjoy the advanced technology and delicious food of this planet!"
Putting aside his various speculations for the moment, Jerry stayed in the room for a while, experiencing what real high technology was like, before pushing open the door and leaving the room to wander around the hotel.
Meanwhile, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, who have escaped from prison twenty-two times, Star-Lord, a member of the Marauders organization, and Gamora, the goddaughter of the Mad Titan Thanos, are also present.
They were also sent by the Nova Corps to a meteorite belt outside Xandar, to a prison called Kion Prison, which was built specifically to hold the most dangerous criminals.
A week later, Jerry lay on the luxurious king-size bed in the room, which was made using anti-gravity technology, and looked through the information about the relevant planets projected by the room's intelligent system:
"How come there isn't a single planet that meets the criteria?"
During this time, he searched through all the planet descriptions recorded on Xandar and found that none of them matched his previous plan.
All the planets that can be found are either places where no intelligent life has yet emerged, or planets that have been colonized by the Nova Empire and exploited as resource planets.
Either the civilization inside has evolved to the point where it can leave the planet and connect with other civilizations in the universe.
The only civilization that can be found that has not yet left its planet and entered the universe is Earth. Moreover, it is specifically marked that it belongs to the realm of Asgard in the Nine Realms, and that it is forbidden to enter openly without permission, otherwise one will bear the consequences.
This result puzzled Jerry.
Because from any perspective, this is illogical.
The universe is so vast, and there are so many planets, so how come only Earth has intelligent life and is still in the stage of not yet entering the universe, while the others either have no intelligent life or have already evolved into cosmic civilizations?
Therefore, he felt that it wasn't that it didn't exist, but rather that it might not be possible to find it through normal channels.
Based on his understanding of the Nova Empire over the past few days, the empire's core ideology is universal peace and equality among all intelligent life forms on every planet.
In other words, it is very possible that the Empire's exploration team discovered a planet with intelligence. If the civilization on the planet has not yet developed to the point of being able to leave the planet, they will only record it for future reference.
Furthermore, to prevent these records from being destroyed by unscrupulous forces in the universe, they may only be known to the upper echelons of the empire, and the general public has no right to view them.
"Perhaps I should look for relevant information on the black market!"
Jerry thought to himself as he turned off the room's smart system.
Since we can't find it on the official website, let's try other methods.
No matter how advanced a civilization is, as long as there are interests and merchants, there will always be black markets and shady places. Xandar is no exception.
Through his interactions with some high-ranking individuals during this period, Jerry learned that there are many mercenary groups in the universe, the most famous of which is the Raiders, which have a hundred factions.
Their base is on Contraxia, where they take on all sorts of business; with enough money, they can get almost anything done.
Besides the numerous mercenary groups, there are also a few bounty hunters, all of which are similar in nature.
Jerry was very rich, so he figured that since he couldn't find a suitable planet through legitimate means, he could go to Contrasia and pay the raiders to find him a planet that met his criteria.
"Mr. Carmen, your dinner is here!"
Just as Jerry was pondering whether to set off for Contraxia tomorrow, a very stiff, sweet female voice suddenly came out from the doorway.
"I don't think I ordered dinner?"
Jerry sensed several familiar presences at the door and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
The woman's voice paused for a moment before replying:
"This is a complimentary dinner prepared by our hotel for our valued guests; everyone gets one!"
"Alright, then come in."
Jerry didn't expose him, and somewhat amusedly had the room's smart system open the door.
"Don't shout or do anything dangerous. We don't want to hurt you!"
As soon as the door opened, a green-skinned woman rushed into the room at top speed, holding a long knife to Jerry's neck, followed closely by a raccoon carrying a giant energy gun.
"This gun of mine can blast you to smithereens, so you'd better listen to her."
"Beep!"
With a sound, the smart system in the room and the smart bracelet on Jerry's wrist all went dark.
"Alright, everything should be fine for now!"
At the doorway, the young man in the leather jacket fixed the specially made jamming device and walked to Jerry's bedside.
These three were Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Star-Lord, who had previously been sent to Keen Prison by the Nova Corps.
Seeing this from his bed, Jerry wasn't nervous at all. Instead, he smiled and asked:
"What are you doing?"
"Excuse me, buddy, we need to retrieve the Cosmic Orb. Please hand it over!"
Star-Lord extended his hand to Jerry, gesturing for him to hand over the Orb of Destiny.
Jerry asked curiously:
"Didn't you promise to sell it to me? Why have you changed your mind now?"
"Because someone else offered a higher price!"
Star-Lord shrugged.
Two days ago, Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and a fellow inmate named Drax escaped from the heavily guarded Keen Prison.
Gamora mentions that a buyer is willing to pay four billion for the Orb of Destiny, so the five of them decide to secretly infiltrate Xandar to find Jerry and retrieve the Orb of Destiny.
After all, in their view, although Jerry was willing to spend money, it was impossible for him to spend as much as four billion.
That's how the current scene happened.
