Chapter 420 The Kree Empire's Fleet

Chapter 420 The Kree Empire's Fleet (First Update)

"We are expected to reach the space jump point in five minutes!"

When Jerry entered the spaceship's cockpit, the three pilots were reporting to Yondu.

Standing next to Yondu were Star-Lord and Gamora.

"Mr. Carmen is here! After passing through this space jump point, we'll reach the planet at our coordinates in about ten more minutes!"

Yondu heard the sound of the cockpit door being opened, turned around and saw Jerry, and explained with a smile.

Even Yondu, the boss, treats Jerry, a major customer, with utmost respect.

On the one hand, this person might be a major client in the future, and on the other hand, they are genuinely wary of his magic.

Yondu, a notorious raider leader throughout the galaxy, is a rare rival among his peers, thanks to his ability to control his whistle arrows to kill enemies and his ruthless style.

However, his most prized whistle arrow was completely countered by Jerry's magic.

Moreover, the image of the people who were electrocuted and turned into maggots and thrown into a cesspool for two days, and their utterly hopeless appearance, is still vivid in his mind, or rather, in everyone's mind.

Even now, those who get electrocuted still vomit at the sight of a toilet.

The characteristic of the Transfiguration Charm is that after being transformed into a certain animal, one will act according to the animal's instincts and will no longer have human thoughts. However, after being restored, the memory of being transformed into an animal will be perfectly preserved.

So when the characters with the electric face regained their human forms and came out of the toilet, they had a very strong impression of how they had happily eaten all sorts of colored poop for two days.

"Very good. If the previous planet meets the requirements and we don't need to go to Contraxia, then I will still pay you one million as travel expenses for your companionship."

Jerry nodded.

Upon hearing this, Yondu's smile widened even more.

The big customer is indeed a big customer; he's very generous. Originally, if the target planet met the requirements, they wouldn't have received any money, but now they can earn an extra million for free.

One million, while not much compared to one hundred million, is still considered a medium-sized reward for a task under normal circumstances.

Medium-level missions are generally quite dangerous, and are the kind of missions where several members are very likely to die.

In reality, they only wasted a little spaceship energy this time, with the cost estimated to be only a few thousand, making it a very easy mission.

"Quill, where are Groot, Rocket, and Drax?"

Jerry turned his head and looked around before asking Star-Lord.

Star-Lord found a driver's seat, sat down, and replied while fastening his seatbelt:

"Rocket is modifying his stun gun, you know, he's an expert in that, and Groot is with him, they're inseparable."

As for Drax, that big idiot hasn't been happy lately because his escape wasn't for money; it was to get revenge on Ronan, but we haven't gone to see Ronan yet.

"Beep beep, we will arrive at the teleportation point in two minutes. Please fasten your seatbelts!"

A beeping notification sound rang throughout the spaceship.

Upon hearing this, Yondu and Gamora, like Star-Lord, found a spot and fastened their seatbelts.

Only Jerry stood there motionless.

Yondu and the others were not surprised to see this, as it was not the first time.

Each time the spaceship passes through a space jump point, it will generate strong vibrations, so it is best to fasten your seatbelt or hold onto a nearby fixed object to secure your body, otherwise you will be thrown around wildly.

However, this spatial vibration obviously had no effect on a magician like Jerry, who had a deep understanding of spatial magic.

In Jerry's view, the so-called spatial jump point is actually similar to the principle of a spatial portal, except that it is larger and farther away.

He even thought that the Vishanti's teleportation portals might have been created by observing spatial jump points in the universe and then using those principles to create magic.

Each time the spaceship passed through a space jump point, the unique spatial experience gave him a new understanding of the spatial magic of teleportation.

"Arrived at the space jump point, preparing for space jump!"

Two minutes later, as the spaceship pilot's voice rang out, Jerry saw through the special glass in front of the cockpit that a very special space membrane had appeared in outer space.

The space membrane was enormous, composed of countless regular hexagonal patterns, each one twice the size of a normal raider spaceship.

As the spacecraft crashed into the space membrane, a powerful surge of spatial energy instantly engulfed the entire vessel.

Nothing on the spaceship was damaged, but all the organic life forms were affected by the spatial energy, feeling as if they were about to be thrown out.

Jerry, however, seemed completely unaffected, as the spatial energy was easily wiped away before it even got close to him.

In about a second, the spaceship passed through the membrane and emerged from the Large Magellanic Cloud, which was countless light-years away from the membrane.

After the spaceship left the space jump point and flew for about ten minutes, Jerry looked out the window and saw a reddish planet appearing in the distance.

It's the planet Gamora mentioned before, the one Thanos discovered three years ago and wiped out half of its population.

"Boss, radar has detected a large number of spaceships on the planet ahead, and they're approaching us. Should we continue?"

Just then, a Marauder driver gave a somewhat nervous reminder.

"Stop advancing!"

Yondu's expression changed upon hearing this.

According to Gamora, the planet is still in a relatively primitive state; it hasn't even developed airplanes, let alone spaceships.

Therefore, the current situation most likely means that the Kree Empire's exploration team has already discovered and occupied the area.

Sure enough, not long after, a dense array of combat ships bearing the Kree Empire's insignia appeared ahead.

"Boss, we've got a communication call coming in from the other end. Should we connect?"

The driver looked at Yondu, while Yondu looked at Jerry.

Jerry nodded:

"Connect and see what they say."

A moment later, a virtual image appeared on the screen in the driver's cab.

On the screen, a blue Kree in military uniform spoke in a warning tone:

"Raiders, the Kree Empire's colony lies ahead. Turn around and leave immediately, or we will attack you!"

Raiders are generally unwelcome by the major empires, but sometimes they are needed for special purposes.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, when the fleets of the major empires encounter raider ships, they will first issue a warning, and only launch an attack if the warning is ignored.

After all, most raiders are ruthless and generally poor, so there's no benefit in fighting them, and it could even result in unnecessary casualties.

Raiders generally don't fight the Imperial regular army because the chances of winning are too slim.
