Chapter 449 Reconciliation (First Update)

Above a lawn in the outskirts of New York, far from town.

Suddenly, a huge ring of fire appeared out of thin air, followed by a Quinjet fighter jet that flew through the ring of fire and landed on the lawn.

"As expected, with you here, any problem can be solved!"

Seeing that what used to take several hours to fly was now reduced to just a few seconds, Tony couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.

He remembered that when he and Jerry went to fight those Extremis, they had to rely on flying or that grumpy fire dragon to travel. Now, they could actually open a spatial portal and go directly to their destination.

It's safe to say that Jerry's magic has become even more powerful than before.

"Magic is such a convenient ability. How about I teach you sometime?"

Jerry joked.

Tony immediately shook his head:

"Forget it, I don't have the talent for that. I'd better focus on researching my battle armor!"

Magic is powerful, but it's not his thing.

After disembarking from the fighter jet, everyone was greeted by a lush green lawn, with some small groves and a lake nearby, creating a peaceful and beautiful scene.

In the center of the lawn stands a two-story European-style villa with a large fenced yard.

"This place definitely looks very safe!"

Tony looked around and found that it was difficult to see any high-tech products.

And so, the six Avengers, the six Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jerry, a total of thirteen people, walked along the path, pushed open the door, and entered the villa.

"Honey, I'm home!"

As soon as he entered the villa, Barton shouted.

As Barton's voice faded, a pregnant woman, carrying a sketchbook, walked down from the second floor with a somewhat surprised expression.

"We have guests! I'm so sorry I didn't tell you beforehand!"

Patton went up to the beautiful woman, gave her a hug, and then kissed her.

At that moment, Tony whispered to Jerry:

"She's probably a secret agent!"

Ever since being deceived by Black Widow, Tony has assumed that anyone associated with S.H.I.E.L.D. is an agent.

"She's just pregnant."

Jerry rolled his eyes. What kind of agent is pregnant and still on a mission?

At this moment, Patton put his arm around the pregnant woman and introduced her:

"This is my wife, Laura!"

Everyone quickly smiled and raised their hands in unison.

Laura turned her head and looked over, smiling:

"I already knew you guys. Who are they?"

Laura was still smiling when she saw Captain America and the others, because she often saw them on TV, and Barton had told her about it, including the fact that wizards are actually men.

When she passed Jerry and saw Star-Lord, her expression became somewhat puzzled; she didn't recognize him.

When she saw Gamora, Nebula, and Drax, her eyes widened in surprise. Why did these people have such strange skin colors? Were they cosplay enthusiasts?

Finally, when he saw Groot, the tree-like creature almost reaching the roof, and Rocket sitting on his shoulder with a stun gun, he was completely dumbfounded.

"Madam, we are friends of the wizard, from beyond Earth, the Guardians of the Galaxy, dedicated to protecting the safety of the galaxy!"

Star-Lord immediately stepped forward and introduced them.

During that short time on the plane, he already learned about Jerry's nickname on Earth and some of his deeds.

Just as Laura was astonished that aliens had come to her house, a boy and a girl, two children, ran downstairs from the second floor, shouting "Daddy!" and happily jumped into Barton's arms.

Clearly, the two children are Barton and Laura's son and daughter.

"Those two must be junior agents. He even told me before that he didn't have a girlfriend. Agents never tell the truth!"

Tony's eyes lit up with envy at the sight.

Jerry laughed and joked:

"He only said he doesn't have a girlfriend, but he didn't say he doesn't have a wife and kids. You and Chili should hurry up, you'll have one soon. If that doesn't work, I can make some magic potions for you, guaranteed to work on your first try!"

"So effective?"

Tony's eyes widened.

"Well, I definitely don't need it, but I have a friend who wants to have a child soon. If your potion really works, give me some so I can bring it to him next time I go back."

"This was arranged by Fury after I joined you; it's not in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files, and I really like that!"

After releasing the child, Barton explained to everyone.

An hour later.

Hawkeye and his wife Laura went upstairs to the master bedroom to change clothes, while Dr. Banner and Black Widow went to the guest room to take a shower. Star-Lord pulled Thor aside to try and get close to him, asking if Asgard had anything they didn't want. The two seemed to get along very well.

Gamora and Nebula were taking a walk in the grove outside, while Groot and Rocket were surrounded by Hawkeye's two children.

Meanwhile, in the fenced yard outside the villa, at Laura's request, Tony and Rogers were helping to chop wood with axes, but they both had expressionless faces.

"Did Fury and Coulson say when they'll arrive?"

Seeing the two of them frozen in place, Jerry reluctantly spoke first to break the deadlock.

Steve immediately replied:

"It should be soon, after all, we arrived here more than five hours early."

"I just contacted Hill. Based on the Quinjet's speed, it should take about five more minutes!"

At this moment, Tony also spoke.

Steve then laughed and said:

"I wonder what kind of expressions Fury and the others will have when they see those aliens later."

"I bet he'd be shocked, so on the plane just now, I deliberately didn't mention that Jerry was coming back with a few aliens!"

Tony smiled too.

At this moment, the awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere that had just been there finally dissipated.

"Tony, I'm so sorry, although I know nothing I say will make a difference!"

Steve looked at Tony and sincerely apologized to him again.

This time, Tony didn't refuse; he just sighed and said:

"Alright, let's put this matter behind us. I'm not someone who's easily consumed by hatred. I heard he's joined Coulson's SHIELD team now?"

"Yes, he is in great pain. He wants to use the rest of his life and his abilities to make up for some of the mistakes he made while he was being controlled!"

Steve's tone was tinged with sadness.

How devastating it must be for a good person filled with justice, a warrior willing to sacrifice himself to defeat Hydra, to suddenly discover that he has been controlled by Hydra and has personally killed so many innocent people.

"Perhaps, if my father were here now, he would also choose to forgive him!"

Finally, Tony murmured something.

Bucky, as a member of the Howling Commandos, definitely knew Howard Stark, who provided them with equipment, and they were friends.

Howard must have had very mixed feelings when his friend, who had already died in battle, was assassinated by the enemy.
