Chapter 501 Heading to Alcatraz

Chapter 501 Heading to Alcatraz (First Update)

"Poor Laxus, I'm sorry!"

Jerry silently apologized to himself.

It turned out that he had been thinking he had forgotten something, and that was that he had forgotten to put Laxus down. Laxus was still falling in circles, thousands of meters above the guild.

Unfortunately, he had only intended to give Laxus a small punishment, letting him fall for an hour, but he was so engrossed in learning magic that he completely forgot about it.

If Erza hadn't mentioned it then, he might not have known it would take him several days to remember.

"That's good. We're all guild members, so let's get along well!"

Erza patted Jerry on the shoulder, nodded in satisfaction, and then turned and went home.

Seeing Erza disappear, Jerry quickly Apparated back to the guild, then opened a portal and sent Laxus, who had been falling from the sky for over ten hours, back to the second floor.

But as he Apparated away again, he vaguely saw Happy carrying something in his mouth and darting out of the guild window.

"Jerry, I...I'm going to kill you!"

After falling through the air for more than ten hours, Laxus finally landed on solid ground. His anger had reached the point of explosion, and his body was radiating extremely terrifying lightning.

Meanwhile, Jerry, who had teleported back to his house, looked at the terrifying lightning coming from the direction of the guild in the distance. After thinking for a moment, he began to make another series of modifications to his villa.

Unfortunately, although Laxus was at fault in today's incident, he was only a bit foul-mouthed. He left someone hanging in the air for over ten hours, which was really going too far.

So, if Laxus comes looking for revenge later, he'll be in a difficult position; he can't just kill her directly.

It's better to hide for now and wait for the other party to calm down before making a move.

Ten minutes later.

Laxus, having found Jerry's address in the guild's archives, appeared in front of 25 Westville Street, accompanied by raging lightning, intending to avenge his previous defeat.

However, what he saw in front of him was not the house that Jerry had bought, but a square vacant lot.

A large sign was stuck in the open space, with a series of eye-catching words engraved on it:

"To allow for a quieter environment for studying and researching magic, I have moved my house. If any guild members need to contact me, please leave a note in the box under this sign. Thank you!"

Meanwhile, next to the large sign was a metal box that looked like a mailbox.

"Jerry!!!"

After reading Jerry's message on the sign, Laxus felt like his lungs were about to explode with anger. After letting out a roar, he could only leave helplessly.

Meanwhile, high in the sky above Magnolia, Jerry looked out the window through his high-powered binoculars at Laxus, which had already departed, and let out a soft sigh of relief.

"Luckily, I was fast enough!"

He had just activated the house with an activation spell and then inscribed levitation runes on it, which allowed the house to remain hidden at an altitude of 10,000 meters.

Anyway, he can fly and teleport, so it doesn't matter where his house is. As long as Laxus can't find his house, he can't bother him.

With his ability to Apparate, Laxus would have no chance of finding him if he really wanted to hide.

Once Laxus calms down after a while, this matter will be over.

Two days later, at night, inside a house 10,000 meters above the city of Magnolia.

Jerry was practicing rapidly summoning various magical weapons he had bought from his body and then constantly switching between them.

The twelve sets of armor he commissioned from the magic item shop at great expense are still under construction and are unlikely to be completed in the short term.

So, for the past two days, he has been using the magical weapons he bought to practice and experiment with costume-changing magic.

"Master, Miss Erza has arrived!"

Just as he was getting into the swing of swordplay, a very gentle young lady's voice suddenly rang out in the room.

It was the smart home system for this house that he created the day before yesterday using the activation spell.

Fortunately, this time it wasn't like the Divine Domain, where the character was a burly man from the Three Kingdoms period, but a gentle-voiced young lady.

He inherited some of the memories of housekeepers from certain maid anime he had watched in his previous life.

"Why does Erza want to see me so late?"

With some doubt, Jerry stepped forward and opened the door.

Because of the transformation magic, Erza is the only person in the guild besides the guild master and Mirajane who knows that his house is floating ten thousand meters in the air.

"Jerry, the president wants to talk to you!"

Erza, dressed in sexy black feathered armor and with her hair tied in a high ponytail, stood outside the door, flapping her black wings, her face serious.

"Come in first and we'll talk."

Jerry stepped aside, asking with some curiosity:

"Is Laxus still causing trouble in the guild? If the guild leader can't handle it, he should come to me, and I'll have a good talk with him."

Perhaps because he was really frustrated, Laxus and his Thors have been causing trouble at the guild for the past two days, hoping that the guild leader will tell him where Jerry is currently staying.

So he figured that if this guy really wouldn't stop causing trouble, he would have to find a time to make him realize the difference in their strength.

Lightning, that's one of the spells he's very good at.

"That's not the issue. When I returned to the guild today, Laxus got a severe scolding from the guild leader and then took his Thunder Legion to carry out an S-rank mission. I don't think they'll bother you for a while."

Erza explained.

Jerry nodded:

"That's good. Since it wasn't Laxus, could it be that one of my guild members damaged something and I need to fix it?"

When the president of a student association contacts him, it's usually for this kind of thing.

Erza shook her head again and directly revealed the real reason she had come to find Jerry:

"Two days ago, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy violated the guild rules by secretly stealing an S-rank commission form from the second floor and accepting an S-rank mission."

The president sent Gray to bring them back, but so far there has been no news from them.

For safety's sake, the guild leader wants you and me to go to the mission's destination and immediately bring them all back to the guild for punishment.

The S-rank mission was too dangerous, and Makarov was worried that if they were late, all of them would lose their lives. For safety's sake, he sent Erza, who had S-rank strength, and Jerry, who could open a portal to instantly reach their destination, to bring them back overnight.

"That's very much like Natsu's style. No problem. What's the mission destination?"

Jerry didn't mind this emergency mission, since it was just a matter of opening a portal a couple of times and wouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Erza pulled out a map and pointed to an isolated island off the coast of Harugeon Port:

"The mission takes place here, on the cursed demon island—Galna Island!"
