Chapter 566 The Philosopher's Stone Reappears

Chapter 566 The Philosopher's Stone Reappears (First Update)

The next day, the sky was clear and the air was crisp.

Jerry woke up in his Slytherin dormitory and watched as a giant octopus slowly swam past the magic glass next to him.

Slytherin's dormitory is in the castle's basement, in the Black Lake.

So being able to see all sorts of strange and magical creatures in the Black Lake every day in the dormitories is one of the unique features of Slytherin.

During this period, he slept and ate normally every day, and then tried to experience everything with his heart.

It feels pretty good.

It's 6:30 now, and Malfoy and his two companions are still fast asleep in bed. Jerry doesn't wake them, but instead comes to the bathroom and gently snaps his fingers.

As a slight magical fluctuation emanated from him, his toiletries in the washroom seemed to come alive, each starting to move on its own.

The toothpaste tube opened by itself, squeezing a bit of toothpaste onto the flying toothbrush; a cup filled with water; and the towel wrung itself out in the sink.

Then, Jerry stood there without moving, and in less than a minute, he finished washing up with the help of these toiletries.

"Snapped!"

With another snap of his fingers, his pajamas instantly transformed into a fourth-year Hogwarts school uniform.

Jerry pushed open the dormitory door and walked towards the auditorium upstairs.

He got up so early not to go to study early after breakfast like before, since he no longer needed to do that, but simply to avoid being bothered by most of his classmates.

He was already very popular at Hogwarts, but his popularity soared even higher after the Quidditch World Cup and the portal incident.

As soon as the opening banquet ended last night, he immediately went back to the dormitory ahead of most of his classmates, just to avoid being caught by them asking for autographs and handing them envelopes with little hearts drawn on them.

Especially Miss Daphne, who was in the same grade.

"I'm already here, I didn't expect you to be here even earlier than me!"

When he arrived at the Great Hall, there was already someone there before him: Miss Hermione Granger.

Hermione was drinking pumpkin porridge and looking at her spellbook when she saw Jerry arrive. She waved and smiled happily.

"Good morning, Jerry. I'm not as talented as you, so I need to work even harder. The OWLs exam is coming up soon, so I can't relax now!"

Jerry shines like the sun in everyone's eyes. She likes Jerry, but she doesn't want to be his subordinate. She can't be the sun, but she wants to be the moon at least.

Standing in front of Jerry like this, she wouldn't feel inferior.

So even with a time-shifter and a magical gem necklace that Jerry gave her to accelerate her learning, she still seized every opportunity to practice the meditation techniques Jerry taught her and learn various magical knowledge.

"Isn't the OWL exam starting next year?"

Jerry couldn't help but twitch his lips; wasn't this sense of urgency a little too intense?

In terms of magical talent, Jerry is definitely not as good as Hermione. However, he didn't just study for three years, but for decades, and he also went to so many magical worlds, which is why he has achieved what he has today.

"Next year will be here soon, so early preparation is key to achieving the best results."

Hermione shook her head. She knew that time would fly by and it would be too late to start preparing right before the exam.

"Okay, good luck then!"

Jerry didn't say anything more, but instead made an encouraging gesture.

Hermione's never-give-up attitude and her genuinely extraordinary efforts are what Jerry admires about her.

Although Harry is the protagonist of this world, and Harry is quite talented, he really doesn't work hard enough in his studies.

As someone who knew he was a thorn in Voldemort's side, he really didn't do enough.

Perhaps it's because he's a child, his thoughts aren't mature enough, and he doesn't have a strong sense of crisis or urgency.

In reality, Hermione is only one year older than Harry, but she is much more mature.

After breakfast, there was still quite a while before class started.

So the two of them went to the lawn by the Black Lake outside the castle, and discussed some magical puzzles while basking in the warm morning sun.

Of course, it was mostly Hermione who asked the questions, and Jerry who carefully explained them to her.

The two reluctantly parted ways just ten minutes before the first class began.

The fourth-year schedules for Slytherin and Gryffindor involve many classes that are not held together. This morning, Slytherin's first class was Charms, while Gryffindor's was Herbs outdoors.

Meanwhile, in the headmaster's office on the eighth floor of the castle, Snape stood by the window, looking at Jerry and Hermione on the lawn below, a maternal smile on his face.

"Severus, it's rare to see you so happy."

Standing next to Snape, Dumbledore looked at Snape's expression with a hint of surprise.

Snape's expression returned to normal:

"It just feels like some mistakes that happened a long time ago have been corrected now."

Dumbledore nodded, sat back down in his chair, picked up the half-finished sweater, and continued knitting.

He knew what Snape meant.

"Principal, is there something you need from me so early in the morning?"

Snape's eye twitched involuntarily when he saw Dumbledore start knitting again.

He was so busy, while Dumbledore, as the headmaster, had such a leisurely life every day.

"Oh, I almost forgot about the important matter!"

Dumbledore stopped knitting, patted his head, and then took a box from a drawer under his desk and handed it to Snape.

"Take a look at this."

"This is... a Philosopher's Stone? Didn't you say before..."

Snape opened the box, his eyes widening as he looked up at Dumbledore at the red stone inside that contained powerful magic.

"Yes, it was taken by that wizard from New York before, but it reappeared by my bedside last night while I was sleeping, along with a small note from the wizard thanking me."

Dumbledore said in a calm tone.

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Snape's already wide eyes widened even more.

"You mean, while you were sleeping, this wizard from New York placed the Philosopher's Stone next to you without your knowledge? That's impossible!"

Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in the world, a fact that even Snape had to admit. Even Voldemort, in a way, was slightly inferior to Dumbledore.

And now, there is actually a wizard who can evade Dumbledore's powerful mental perception and get close to him, which is simply unbelievable.

This means that if the wizard wasn't trying to return the Philosopher's Stone, but instead wanted to assassinate Dumbledore, Dumbledore could have been killed in his sleep.

Are there wizards in this world stronger than Dumbledore?
