Chapter 569 Dumbledore's Interview

Chapter 569 Dumbledore's Interview (Second Update)

"I bought this by chance from some black market dealers during my vacation. I think you'll like it."

With a thought, Jerry floated to Hagrid's side, carrying three dragon eggs.

He took one dragon egg from Hagrid back then, and now he's giving him three back, which can be considered a form of compensation.

"I love this gift so much, Jerry. Thank you so much!"

Hagrid carefully held the three dragon eggs, as if afraid they would fall to the ground and break.

His voice was also somewhat broken due to his excitement.

"No, no, but remember to keep them in the Forbidden Forest. Be careful they don't escape, otherwise the Ministry of Magic will definitely send someone to take them away."

Jerry, seeing Hagrid so moved he was almost in tears, quickly gave a few instructions and ran off.

He was afraid that after Hagrid put down the dragon egg, he would hug him and cry, and that would be too beautiful a sight to behold.

Don't let Hagrid's tall stature and brute strength fool you into thinking he's a tough guy. In reality, he has a gentle personality, is very emotional, and is easily moved to tears.

Jerry had just finished dinner in the Great Hall and was about to take a walk with Hermione to digest their food when Snape called him back.

"Jerry, come with me."

"Dean, are we going to find Headmaster Dumbledore?"

When Jerry saw that Snape had stopped him but hadn't gone down to the Slaterlin Headmaster's office in the basement, instead continuing to walk up the stairs, he immediately understood what was going on.

Snape looked at Jerry with a complicated expression, and finally, in a rare moment of gentleness, instructed:

"Yes, the principal has something he wants to talk to you about. That's alright, just answer honestly."

To be honest, Snape had mixed feelings about Jerry being Wizard J.

On one hand, he felt a little scared that Jerry, at such a young age, had dared to participate in so many things. On the other hand, he was also proud that such a talented and capable wizard could emerge from Slytherin.

However, in just three years, Jerry's magical abilities far surpassed those of the dean, which was indeed a blow to him.

On the eighth floor of the castle, there was still that same gargoyle stone beast.

"Strawberry Popping Candy!"

Snape gave the command, and the Dripper jumped aside, making way for a spiral staircase hidden behind it that slowly moved upwards.

"I won't go in. The principal would like to speak with you privately."

Jerry nodded upon hearing this.

"Good evening, Headmaster Dumbledore!"

As Jerry walked up the stairs into the office, he saw Dumbledore knitting and greeted him politely.

Dumbledore set aside the nearly finished sweater and replied with a kind expression:

Good evening, Mr. Carmen!

"I wonder what brings the principal to see me so late?"

After exchanging pleasantries, Jerry picked up the drink that Dumbledore had prepared for the house-elves and took a small sip.

After observing Jerry for a while, Dumbledore tentatively asked:

Do you know someone called Wizard J?

Are you talking about me?

Upon hearing Dumbledore's probing question, Jerry knew his disguise had been exposed, so he stopped hiding it and transformed into the shapeshifting wizard J he had seen on Sirius Black.

Dumbledore looked at Jerry, whose appearance had been completely changed, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.

"I never imagined that, besides the innate Disguise Magus, there was magic that could achieve such complete body transformation. It seems you've created quite a few new spells."

He was surprised not by Jerry, but by Wizard J, something he was already more than 90% certain of.

He was surprised by the kind of magic Jerry was now using, which could completely change a person's appearance.

Currently in the wizarding world, only the naturally born Disguise Magus can freely change their appearance; there is no magic that can achieve the effect of Disguise Magus.

The magic Jerry used, like the portal, was likely created by himself.

"Principal, isn't this what you're really concerned about?"

With another wave of his hand, Jerry restored his original appearance and took out the Russian nesting doll that had sealed Voldemort.

He learned body transformation magic from Fairy Tail; before that, he had only used illusion transformation.

However, this was not important, because he knew the real point of Dumbledore's conversation with him.

Sure enough, when Dumbledore saw the Russian nesting dolls that sealed all of Voldemort's souls, his expression immediately turned serious.

He carefully picked up the Russian nesting doll, examined it closely for a while, and finally let out a long sigh:

"I never expected that Tom would be sealed away by you in the end. I guess even he himself didn't expect that a wizard far more talented than him would appear in this world."

"Headmaster, if you're worried, you can keep it here. I first discovered him through Professor Quirrell when I was a first-year student. Then, following the clues, I learned about him, found the Horcruxes, and sealed them all away."

Jerry smiled and pushed the Russian nesting doll that sealed Voldemort, which Dumbledore had put back on the table, back onto the table.

Voldemort's soul was of little use to him anymore, and whether or not he handed it over to Dumbledore was irrelevant to him.

Seeing this, Dumbledore blinked and pushed him back:

"No wonder Quirrell didn't show up later. But I think it's better to leave him with you. I'm retiring in a month, and you can't expect an old man who's about to retire to worry about these things!"

When Quirrell disappeared after being possessed by Voldemort, he had some suspicions, but he never expected that it was Jerry who was behind it.

Just think, Jerry was only in first grade back then, and had been learning magic for less than a year, yet he was already able to deal with Quirrell and Voldemort's remnants. That's truly a terrifying magical talent.

"Retirement? Principal, you're retiring?"

Jerry, who had always been calm, now showed a rare expression of surprise.

He really hadn't thought of that.

In the original story, Dumbledore was the headmaster of Hogwarts until he was killed.

"Yes, Voldemort's problem is solved, and I'm over 110 years old. It's time for me to enjoy my retirement. When the other two schools come in October, I will announce this, and your dean will take over my position."

Dumbledore replied, sipping his sweet drink with a contented expression.

After confirming that Voldemort's soul had indeed been completely sealed away by Jerry, he was relieved of all the burdens that had been weighing on him.

Now, he just wants to finish the last bit of work so he can go and live the retirement life he's always wanted to have with his old friends.
