Chapter 575 The Goblet of Fire (Third Update)

It turned out that while everyone was outside the castle welcoming the two schools, the two officials from the Ministry of Magic in charge of the Triwizard Tournament, Bagman and Crouch, had already entered the Great Hall through the open Hogwarts fireplace.

After Snape finished speaking, he tapped the wooden box that Filch had handed him three times with his wand. The lid of the box immediately creaked open, revealing a large, roughly carved wooden goblet inside.

The cup itself is unremarkable, but it is filled with dancing blue and white flames.

Picking up the cup and placing it where everyone could see it, Snape continued:

"Every student who wants to run for Warrior must write their name and school name on a piece of parchment and drop it into this goblet. Those who aspire to become Warriors can register within 24 hours."

Tomorrow night, Halloween night, the goblet will select the three wizards it deems most worthy of representing the three schools. Tonight, the goblet is placed in the foyer, and all students who wish to participate in the election can touch it.

Snape then specifically addressed the age limit issue and urged everyone to think calmly, because once chosen as a champion by the Goblet of Fire, they would be unable to withdraw.

However, most of the young wizards clearly did not take his last words to heart, and instead all stared intently at the large wooden cup that was flaming.

After Snape finished his explanation, the welcome banquet officially began.
