Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 616 Time Reversal
Chapter 616 Time Reversal (First Update)
"Are you ready?"
Jerry asked, holding Hermione's hand.
Hermione, now dressed in her evening gown and glass slippers again, nodded.
"Okay, let's go back then!"
Jerry opened the panel and pressed the button to enter the Harry Potter world.
The scene shifts, and the environment around the two becomes the cave outside Hogwarts Castle, filled with fairy light.
Watching the pairs of young wizards exchanging affections in various corners of the cave, Hermione couldn't help but sigh:
"Now I finally know why you've grown so fast!"
Every time she saw Jerry before, she noticed that he had grown a lot taller, and they always thought that Jerry was just developing quickly.
Now that Hermione has experienced traveling through the small worlds and spent a month in Jerry's world, but returned to the same point they left in, she finally understands that it wasn't that Jerry developed faster, but that he had more time to grow.
"Tell me honestly, how old are you now?"
Hermione looked at Jerry with a gossipy expression.
Jerry paused for a moment, then laughed:
"I haven't calculated the exact number, but he's definitely older than you."
"Hmph, I always thought I was the older sister, I never imagined you were actually older than me."
Hermione pursed her lips. Her birthday was September 19th, making her arguably the oldest among her peers of wizards. If she had been born nineteen days earlier, she would have been a year ahead of Jerry by September 1st.
So, according to the normal age of young wizards in their grade at school, she is actually the oldest in the entire fourth grade.
Everyone is her younger brother and sister, including Jerry.
However, Jerry can travel between small worlds, so he must be older than her in actual age, which is why she said that.
"Let's go dancing!"
Seeing the castle lights come on, Hermione grabbed Jerry and ran towards the ball in the Great Hall before Jerry could react.
Unlike the other young wizards who came to the cave to rest and socialize after dancing, they had already been away from the Christmas ball for a month.
"Slow down, be careful not to fall."
Watching Hermione, wearing crystal shoes and lifting the hem of her evening gown, excitedly run towards the castle, Jerry gave her a somewhat helpless reminder.
Ultimately, no matter how mature Hermione's mental age may be, she is still a fifteen-year-old girl in the prime of her youth.
When they returned to the auditorium, it was no longer as noisy as it had been when they left, except for a few professors and students.
The fast-paced rock music was replaced by very soothing waltzes.
Hermione pulled Jerry to the center of the dance floor, and under the colorful magical lights, they gazed into each other's eyes and began to dance an elegant waltz.
Snape, who hadn't left his seat the entire time, entered the dance floor. Looking at Jerry and Hermione on the dance floor, he drank the mead in his glass and fell into a reverie.
Back then, if he had been like Jerry, not so concerned about bloodlines, not so obsessed with dark magic, and could have gotten along well with the Gryffindor wizards, perhaps Lily wouldn't have left him and fallen for that arrogant Potter.
Over the years, he watched Jerry and Hermione get together and eventually be together, and he couldn't help but reflect on the mistakes he had made back then.
He and Lily were childhood sweethearts who had known each other since they were little. Although they were eventually assigned to different colleges, if he could be like Jerry and not care about these things, what difference would it make if they were in the same college?
Slytherins and Gryffindors often shared classes, and Lily, like Hermione, was a studious wizard. He was willing to study with Lilith during his free time, spending more time together than Lily and Potter did.
Just like Jerry and Hermione, the two are almost inseparable except when they are sleeping or attending classes in different places.
Unfortunately, it was all too late, everything was already beyond repair, and Lily had already left this world.
"Severus, don't dwell on the sadness of the past. You're only in your thirties, the youngest headmaster in Hogwarts history. Many witches like you. Sometimes it's time to give yourself a chance and give others a chance too."
Just then, a figure appeared next to Snape—it was none other than former headmaster Dumbledore, who had just finished dancing and was resting.
He looked at Snape, who hadn't entered since the start of the Christmas ball, and sighed.
As a Potions Master and the current Headmaster of Hogwarts, Snape held a high social standing in the wizarding world, and many witches admired him.
However, the death of Lily Evans completely froze his heart.
Dumbledore hopes Snape can find a new partner and resolve this inner conflict, not only because of his relationship with Snape over the years.
He also believed that if Snape could find a new partner and start a new relationship, his character flaws could be compensated for, and he would be better able to fulfill his role as headmaster of Hogwarts.
However, Snape shook his head as always. His heart had died the moment Lily died, and it could no longer hold anyone else.
On the other side, Jerry, who was resting on the side after dancing with Hermione, twitched his ears.
He had overheard the entire conversation between Snape and Dumbledore, thanks to his exceptional hearing.
"Perhaps it's time to take some time to help Professor Snape out of the blue!"
As Professor Snape, who had helped him a great deal on his magical journey, Jerry still didn't want him to die alone like Dumbledore, especially since he wasn't actually that old.
In the past, he certainly wouldn't have had a solution.
But now, through his understanding of the laws of this world, some things that were impossible before are now possible.
At 11 p.m., the Christmas ball officially ended, and all the young wizards returned to their respective dormitories.
Jerry and Hermione were no exception.
However, after Jerry escorted Hermione back to her Gryffindor dorm, she didn't fall asleep quickly like the other young wizards. Instead, she Apparated outside the castle and took out the Time-Turner, which she hadn't done in a long time.
"Time, turn back!"
With the help of the Sands of Time in the Time-Turner, and Jerry's current mastery of the laws of time, he began to reverse time dramatically.
It's not just a day or two, but a process of turning back time at a rate of years.
The fundamental law of time in the Harry Potter world is that what has already happened will never change, so he could not change Lily Evans' death.
However, because of his understanding of the laws of this world during this period, he felt that he could also do some other things.
He didn't want to resurrect Lily Evans; even if he did, she would love James Potter, not Snape. Besides, that would be unfair to Harry.
He just wanted to give Snape a chance, a chance to start over.
