Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 620 Snape's Heart-Fluttering Moment

Chapter 620 Snape's Heart-Fluttering Moment (Third Update)

Over the course of ten years, I have traveled to most countries in the world, researched and created many advanced potions, and I feel that my potion-making skills have reached the level of a master.

So I went back to America and opened my own potions shop on Magic Street—Foster's Potions Shop.

Thanks to my superb potion-making skills, the potion shop has always been very successful, and it's even quite famous in the entire wizarding world. As a result, I've earned quite a bit of Galleons.

Six years later, I was thirty-four years old. I started to get tired of running a potion shop and doing business. I wanted to experience a different life, and the idea that I didn't want to date or get married had also disappeared.

That year, I saw the big news about the Goblet of Fire being restarted in the magic newspaper, I saw that Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts, had retired, and I saw that a professor named Severus Snape had become the headmaster again.

Suddenly, I developed a strong interest in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the oldest school in the world.

Christmas had just passed that year when, while I was looking at the magical newspaper delivered by an owl at my foster parents' house, I saw this job posting:

"Hogwarts is hiring a Potions professor. Interested candidates can come to the school for an interview after Christmas. — Headmaster: Severus Snape!"

The moment I saw this job posting, for some reason, I felt a strong urge to apply.

The idea was so strong that I sold my shop that very day, then registered with the Ministry of Magic for a Portkey and arrived in London, England.

After booking a room at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley, I immediately used the owl from the Diagon Alley Owl Post Office to send my resume to Snape, the new headmaster of Hogwarts.

At eight o'clock in the evening, an owl brought back a reply from Headmaster Snape.

Headmaster Snape was very pleased with my resume and invited me to Hogwarts early the next morning. He would open the Leaky Cauldron to the Floo Network connecting to the castle.

The letter made it clear that as long as the interview goes smoothly tomorrow, I will be the next Potions Professor at Hogwarts.

I am very satisfied with this result. I think I have found the life I want to live from now on.

Becoming a Potions professor at the world's number one magic school and nurturing a large number of Potions geniuses gives me more of a sense of accomplishment than opening a shop and earning Galleons.

As for whether I can pass the interview, I am confident in my potion-making skills.

And so, after spending the night in Diagon Alley, I couldn't wait to use the fireplace in the Leaky Cauldron to travel to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is documented in countless magical records, after having breakfast the next morning.

December 27, 1994, the day after Christmas.

Snape arrived at the headmaster's office early after finishing breakfast.

The thing that had been giving him the biggest headache since he became the headmaster of Hogwarts might finally be resolved today.

It wasn't the highly anticipated three-way battle for supremacy; with Jerry there, the outcome was already decided, and he had nothing to worry about.

What troubled him most was who would succeed him as professor of potions after he became the principal.

As a top master of potions, Snape was very strict in his selection of potions professors, believing that the process of making potions was an art.

Currently, over 90% of the wizards who have come for interviews after seeing his job posting are considered utterly worthless by him, completely unworthy of succeeding him as the Potions Professor at Hogwarts.

He felt that appointing those people as potions professors was simply misleading students and ruining the great art of potions.

Dumbledore recommended someone to him: Horace Slughorn, the former Professor of Potions at Hogwarts, the former Head of Slytherin, and a master of Potions.

However, he was not particularly satisfied with this very famous potion master.

It wasn't that he was dissatisfied with the potion-making skills, but rather that the man was simply too old, and he knew that this man was somewhat vain and power-hungry.

Of course, if he couldn't find a suitable one, he would have no choice but to invite this retired potion master for the time being.

According to Dumbledore, Horace would agree to return to Hogwarts for a few more years if he were told that he could become Harry and Jerry's Potions teacher.

This would give him more time to find a truly suitable potions professor.

Fortunately, just as he was planning to visit Horace in a few days, a new job application was delivered by an owl.

To his surprise, the wizard seeking employment was not from the British magical community, but from the United States.

The wizard seeking employment was named Lily Foster. Lily was the same name as the person he deeply loved, but he didn't think much of it; there were just too many people in the world named Lily.

He was thirty-four years old, the same age as him, and a graduate of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He owned a potions shop called Foster's on Magic Street in New York.

He had heard of this potions shop; it seemed to be quite famous in the American magical community.

The resume listed numerous honors related to potions received in the American magical community, and Snape felt that if they were all true, he was indeed qualified to serve as the Potions Professor at Hogwarts.

So he decided to meet him in person.

As a master of potions, he could naturally tell whether someone had real talent or not after just a short conversation.

At nine o'clock in the morning, a blue flame rose from the fireplace in the headmaster's office. Snape got up; he knew it was the witch who had come for the job interview.

Sure enough, after the blue flames subsided, a woman wearing a burgundy coat and a wizard's hat emerged from the fireplace carrying a briefcase.

"Good morning, Ms. Foster!"

Snape stepped forward and extended his right hand in a question mark gesture, though his expression remained unchanged, as always.

Upon hearing the voice, Lily slightly raised her face, which was mostly hidden by her wizard's hat, revealing her beautiful green eyes, and then naturally took Snape's right hand.

"Hello, Headmaster Snape!"

"Lily!"

However, as soon as she finished speaking, she saw Headmaster Snape across from her, who, upon seeing her face, suddenly shouted her name excitedly, tears welling up in his eyes, and pulled her into a tight embrace.

This sudden and unexpected situation left Lily completely dumbfounded.

"What's going on?"

If it were anyone else, she would have immediately drawn her wand and used magic to send them flying, but the person opposite her was the headmaster of Hogwarts.

The key point is that the principal looked very sad, with tears streaming down his face, and didn't seem like he was trying to take advantage of her.

"Headmaster Snape, this isn't appropriate!"

Lily blushed slightly and nudged Snape, but Snape was holding her too tightly and she couldn't push him away.

To be honest, being single for 34 years and suddenly being held in someone's arms was a very novel experience for Lily.
