Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 64 Generous Chapter Report

Chapter 64 A Generous Reward

"S.H.I.E.L.D. really hasn't given up their evil intentions. Luckily, I didn't turn off the 'energizing' feature, or I would have been discovered!"

Just as he left 121st Street, he had a feeling of being watched. Just in case, he sped up and immediately turned around, and sure enough, he saw the drone not far away that he hadn't had time to hide from.

So, several consecutive Divine Sharpness Shadowless Curses were used, turning it into scrap metal.

Putting away his wand, Jerry didn't stay in the air any longer, but instead rode his flying broomstick into the alley below.

Next, he planned to continue through the alley below. It would be slower, but safer.

After flying around for more than ten minutes, we finally arrived safely back at the alleyway where Teacher Belle had parked her car.

Jerry calmly walked out of the alley after putting his flying broom, tranquilizer sniper rifle, and wizard suit into his guitar case and returning to normal.

Reaching into the trunk, he opened it, put the guitar bag back in its place, cast a lock-picking spell to open the car door, sat back in his previous seat, and waved his wand:

"Recover quickly!"

Everything has returned to its original state.

What's wrong with me?

Teacher Belle slowly opened her eyes, looking confused. How come she seemed to have fallen asleep?

"Teacher, you seemed so worried about Dad that you fainted from excitement?"

Jerry explained with a serious expression.

"is that so?"

Ms. Belle paused for a moment, but quickly realized something and immediately opened the door, got out of the car, and looked in the direction of Greyburn School.

However, the sound of artillery fire had ceased by then.

"Teacher, if you're really worried, you can call your dad!"

Jerry rolled down the car window and made a suggestion to Ms. Belle.

Teacher Belle suddenly realized what was happening and quickly took out her phone to make a call.

After the phone call, Ms. Belle breathed a sigh of relief and got back into her car.

"It's alright, your dad said he's fine. He's on his way to the hospital with the wounded, so he might be a little late getting home!"

"That's good!"

Jerry, who already knew the situation, smiled and nodded.

"Huh, is Elsa asleep too?"

Ms. Belle hadn't heard Elsa's voice, so she turned to look behind her.

"Yeah, they're probably tired from playing at the amusement park today!"

Jerry hadn't lifted Elsa's sleeping spell, so Elsa was now lying in the back, fast asleep.

"Let's go back first!"

After placing Elsa's head on his lap to make her more comfortable, Jerry quietly opened his strange panel.

This battle was so arduous, and so many civilians and soldiers were saved. The number of little red stars must be quite high.

"fifty thousand!"

Although he knew there would be a lot, he almost couldn't help but shout out when he saw the number of little red stars on the panel.

You should know that he had worked hard for a month, patrolling around every night on his flying broom, doing his job and fighting crime, and he had only accumulated 20,000 little red stars in total.

However, he earned 30,000 in just one night, and he wasn't even a main player, which was something he really didn't expect.

It seems that he needs to participate in more high-risk events to earn more red stars on the panel!

Actually, Jerry still doesn't fully understand how the little red star reward system on the panel works.

He initially thought it might be something like cause and effect or the power of merit.

However, it doesn't affect his ability to do bad things, or even to create or save himself from disasters. This is completely inconsistent with his understanding of the rules of merit and cause and effect.

Moreover, he discovered that the way he obtained this little red star had a strange characteristic.

That is, although it is said that doing good deeds will be rewarded with a little red star, it is not entirely like that.

For example, he gets a little red star for helping an old lady cross the road, and he gets a little red star for helping an old lady throw away her trash.

But when he gives money to the old lady, there is no little red star; when he gives money to the beggar on the street, there is no little red star either.

Moreover, sometimes, for the same task, the amount of Little Red Star given can vary.

For example, in the same robbery, if the robber has a knife and the robber has a handgun, and if the robber is thin and the robber is tall and strong, the number of red stars he gives after solving the case will be different.

Anyway, it's really confusing!

It seems that he has to be involved personally, and the stronger and more dangerous the enemy, the more people he saves, the more his number of little red stars will increase.

At eight o'clock in the morning,

Ms. Belle, wearing only a loose-fitting white men's vest, yawned as she walked out of the room.

Because Haas said he might be busy all night when she spoke with him yesterday, Ms. Belle didn't leave after dropping Jerry and Elsa off at home.

She got up early today to cook some oatmeal for her two children, bake some bread, and fry an egg.

She might be a mother of two in the future, and she won't be able to sleep in as carefree as she did when she was home alone.

However, as soon as she stepped into the living room, she froze:

"Jerry, you're up so early?"

"Good morning, Ms. Belle! I'm a morning person. Oh, and I've made breakfast—a bit of a Chinese style. I don't know if it suits your taste!"

Jerry, sitting on the sofa, put away his magic book and smiled at Ms. Belle, who was standing there in a daze.

"It suits your taste!"

Ms. Belle glanced at the lavish breakfast spread across the table, then pointed somewhat blankly towards the bathroom:

"Um... I'm going to wash up!"

"good!"

Jerry nodded.

"ah"

Suddenly, a gasp came from Ms. Belle in the bathroom.

"What's wrong?"

Jerry rushed over.

Ms. Belle pointed to the laundry basket next to the washing machine in the bathroom, muttering somewhat helplessly:

"Where are the clothes I changed out of yesterday?"

"Oh, I washed all the clothes when I did the laundry this morning, and they're hanging out to dry on the balcony now. Teacher, you can wear Dad's clothes for now; they should be dry in about two hours!"

Jerry then remembered that when he used the housework magic that morning, Ms. Belle and the others' clothes that they had changed out of the day before had been magically washed clean and hung on the balcony.

"this"

Ms. Bailey looked at Jerry, and she was now extremely doubtful about whether she would be the one taking care of the two children or being taken care of by them after she entered this family.

"Alright, teacher, you need to hurry, or breakfast won't taste good if it gets too cold!"

Jerry gave a brief instruction and then went back to the living room to continue reading.

Actually, Jerry has already vaguely realized that this teacher, Bailey, doesn't seem to be very good at cooking and housework, and it's unlikely that he can rely on her to take over the cooking and housework in the future.

It wasn't that Ms. Belle was unwilling, but rather that if she wasn't very good at it, Jerry felt it would be better for him to do it himself.

After all, he wasn't used to having oatmeal porridge or toast in the morning.

Besides, now that he's become proficient in household magic, it doesn't actually take much time at all; he can get it done with a wave of his wand.

"It seems I'll have to take care of one more person in this family from now on. Perhaps this is the true meaning of 'with great power comes great responsibility'!"

At home, the more skills someone has, the more work they tend to do.
