Chapter 729 Thor Awakens

Chapter 729 Thor Awakens (Second Update)

"Heimdall!"

When Loki saw Hela crush Thor's Mjolnir with her bare hands, he was so frightened that he immediately shouted for Heimdall to take them back to Asgard.

Unfortunately, the rainbow bridge he had envisioned did not appear, and Heimdall clearly did not heed his call.

"Heimdall, do not open the Rainbow Bridge."

It turned out that Thor's order prevented Heimdall from opening the Rainbow Bridge in time.

Even if Thor hadn't stopped him, Jerry knew Heimdall wouldn't have opened the Rainbow Bridge, because Odin had already instructed Heimdall yesterday not to open it to prevent Hela from returning to Asgard.

Now that Jerry has helped, Odin no longer intends to initiate Ragnarok, so naturally he cannot allow Hela to completely control the power of Asgard.

"What are you doing? It's obvious we can't beat her!"

Loki looked on incredulously when he saw that Thor had stopped the opening of the Rainbow Bridge.

Thor, on the other hand, struck a boxing pose he learned on Earth:

"We have to fight even if we can't beat her. We can't take her back to Asgard. Father just said that if she goes back to Asgard, she will gain endless energy from Asgard, and then we won't be able to beat her at all."

"But Asgard has our army!"

Loki looked at Thor as if he were an idiot.

Upon returning to Asgard, besides himself and Thor, there was also the powerful army of Asgard that had once conquered the Nine Realms. He did not believe that Hela alone could destroy the entire Asgardian army.

Thor turned and roared at Loki:

"But there are still many ordinary Asgardians in Asgard, and there's my mother. We can't take that risk!"

Thor's experiences in the Avengers over the past few years have made him realize that if someone is strong enough, it is impossible to win by sheer numbers, just like Jerry did.

According to Odin's dying words, Hela will gain power comparable to Odin at his peak once she returns to Asgard. At that time, even Odin and the entire Asgardian army combined might not be able to defeat her.

"Okay, I admit you have a point."

Loki paused upon hearing Thor's words, gritted his teeth, and tossed a dagger to Thor.

He could disregard the safety of other civilians in Asgard, but he could not ignore the safety of his beloved mother, Frigga.

Thor caught the dagger Loki threw to him, a bewildered look on his face.

Seeing this, Loki said irritably:

"You don't intend to fight her empty-handed, do you?"

"You're right."

Seeing Hela walking towards him carrying two longswords, Thor brandished his dagger a couple of times, reluctantly accepting this rare act of kindness from his younger brother.

"For the glory of the divine realm!"

Thor, gripping his exquisite little dagger, roared and charged straight at Hela, while Loki silently used magic to become invisible, circling behind Hela, intending to seize the opportunity to strike her in the kidneys.

"This fight must be very interesting; I have to record it."

Jerry, who was invisible in the air, saw Thor rushing towards Hela with a dagger in his hand, and immediately took out the magical camera that he had used to record Elsa.

Thor, who fights with a dagger, somehow possesses a unique comedic charm.

"Ouch, that's terrible!"

Having used a hammer for over a thousand years, Thor was clearly not used to the sudden switch to a dagger. In addition, the ruthless Hela was incredibly skilled with two-handed swords, and her strength and speed completely overwhelmed Thor.

So after just one exchange, Thor had two blood-red crosses on his chest and Hela kicked him hard in the face.

As for Loki, who tried to launch a sneak attack, Hela saw through his magic and knocked his dagger away with a single sword strike, then stomped him hard under her feet.

"Odin has truly fallen, to have taken in a lowly frost giant as his son. Let me take you to see Odin."

Hela thrust the Night Sky Sword straight into Loki's heart.

"I am Thor, let him go!"

Seeing that Loki was about to be killed, Thor disregarded his chest wound, rolled over, and charged at Hela with all his might.

"Right now it's the older brother saving the younger brother, but in a minute it'll be the younger brother saving the older brother. Hmm, this line sounds familiar. Which movie have I seen it in?"

Jerry watched as Thor temporarily knocked Hela away to save Loki, and subconsciously murmured something.

As expected, Hela was instantly enraged after being knocked away by Thor. She stopped playing cat and mouse and hurled the Night Sky Sword at Thor like a javelin.

"You dare call yourself Thor? I think you're more like Hammer God. Without your hammer, you're just a piece of trash."

However, just as the javelin was about to pierce Thor, Loki suddenly stood up and pushed Thor aside, using his own body to block the fatal blow.

By the time Thor realized what was happening, Loki had already been pierced through the chest by Hela's Night Sky Sword and was pinned to the ground.

"Loki!"

Thor never expected that his brother Loki, whom he usually hated so much, would actually step forward to take the sword for him.

"Let's wait and see if we can make Hammer God truly become Thor."

Seeing Loki severely injured and on the verge of death, Jerry still did not make a move, continuing to hide in the air and watch everything that happened below.

Odin's dying wish was to eliminate the rift between Thor and Loki through Hela's threat, and this has clearly been achieved so far.

At this point, Jerry appeared and defeated Hela, thus ending his deal with Odin.

But Jerry didn't. It wasn't that he wanted to back out, but that he felt that if he waited a little longer, Thor might be able to use this opportunity to unleash his inner potential and awaken the true power of the God of Thunder.

With his current strength, even if Loki dies, as long as he acts quickly to temporarily preserve his soul, he can resurrect him at any time.

As Thor's friend, Jerry still hopes that his strength can be further improved.

"Actually, I didn't want to save you, but I don't know why my body was a little out of control just now. It seems that I can't be the king of Asgard now."

I hope you can become a qualified king in the future, and not be so easily deceived.

Lying in Thor's arms, whose eyes were filled with tears, Loki uttered his last words and slowly closed his eyes.

"No!"

Thor let out a mournful roar and looked up sharply at Hela across from him.

Hela chuckled upon seeing this:

"Don't be sad. You'll be next, then the whole of Asgard. Anyone who rebels against me will suffer the same fate."

"You really are as rotten as Father said. No one else will die except you!"

Thor placed Loki on the ground, his eyes replaced by lightning, and his body was wrapped in countless bolts of lightning.

Thor has awakened!

"Oh, that's more interesting, but it doesn't change the ending."

Seeing Thor awaken his divine power, Hela didn't seem surprised. She just smiled disdainfully, and then dozens of Night Sky Divine Swords instantly appeared behind her.
