Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard

Chapter 74 The Long-Planned Attack

Chapter 74 The Long-Planned Attack

October 31st, the day before Halloween.

Early in the morning, Jerry saw Hagrid, who looked like a little giant, and Flitwick, the Charms professor, decorating the entire Great Hall with magic.

Hagrid placed magic candles inside each of the hollowed-out giant pumpkins, and Professor Flitwick used a levitation charm to raise the pumpkin lanterns one by one.

Looking at the giant pumpkins floating above the hall, Jerry couldn't help but sigh that the gap between his strength and that of a professor-level wizard was truly enormous.

Professor Flitwick could raise hundreds of super pumpkin lanterns at the same time, allowing them to float in the air for days without any problems.

He had previously used a levitation spell to freeze a bus in place, but only for two seconds.

However, compared to other young wizards of the same age who are still using the Levitation Charm to levitate feathers, he is already quite skilled.

Perhaps because we used a lot of pumpkins to make jack-o'-lanterns today, breakfast was uniformly all pumpkin porridge, which he hates the most.

If it weren't for the fact that many professors were also having breakfast in the Great Hall, preventing him from using magic freely, Jerry would have loved to use Transfiguration to turn the pumpkin porridge into tofu pudding.

As a first-year Slytherin, Jerry only had classes in the morning today. After catching up on his sleep in the afternoon, he took a magic book he had borrowed from the library and sat down to read it in the Slytherin common room.

They looked until around 6 p.m.

"Jerry, the banquet is about to start, we'll be late if we don't leave now!"

Daphne and Pansy, who were passing by the common room, saw that there were less than ten minutes left before the dinner party started, and Jerry was still sitting in the common room with no intention of leaving. They immediately reminded him.

Upon hearing this, Jerry looked up and smiled gently.

"It's alright, you guys go ahead. I don't like noisy environments. I'll come over after I finish reading these last two pages!"

Seeing this, Daphne and Pansy had no choice but to leave the common room first.

Ten minutes later, he put down the spellbook and checked the time:

"The banquet is about to begin; everyone should be in the main hall by now!"

Jerry got up and returned to his dormitory. He took out the tranquilizer sniper rifle he had retrieved from the Room of Requirement the night before from a large box under his bed, wrapped it in a cloth, and quietly left the Slytherin dormitory.

With his superhuman mode activated, he was like an agile elite agent, quickly sneaking towards the stairwell connecting the first floor and the basement.

The lower level of Hogwarts is very large. In addition to the boathouse near the bottom of the Black Lake, the Slytherin dormitory, the Potions classroom, the Slytherin Headmaster's office, and the Hufflepuff common room, storage room and kitchen near the bottom of the Great Hall, there are also more than a dozen abandoned classrooms.

The only way to get from the first floor to the basement is through a secret passage or the small staircase next to the luxurious marble staircase.

Therefore, Jerry, carrying his sniper rifle, went directly to an unused classroom closest to the small staircase, pressed his ear against the wall, and began to wait quietly.

About twenty minutes later, the sound of footsteps going down the stairs suddenly came from the small stairwell behind the wall.

Someone is going from the first floor to the basement!

The Halloween dinner has already begun, and almost all the professors and students, including Headmaster Dumbledore and Night's Watchman Filch, are certainly at the dinner.

At this time, the only person who would come down from the first floor to the basement is Professor Quirrell, who is preparing to release the giant to cause chaos and steal the Philosopher's Stone from the fourth floor.

Once the footsteps had moved away from the stairwell, Jerry picked up his sniper rifle and carefully moved to the classroom door.

He opened the wooden door a crack, took out a mirror he had prepared beforehand, and saw Quirrell's back as he saw the reflection in the mirror.

At this moment, Professor Quirrell was walking furtively down the basement corridor with his back to him, heading towards the fifth underground classroom in the distance.

"They've arrived!"

Seeing Quirrell's reflection in the mirror, Jerry couldn't help but feel a surge of joy.

In fact, he had been planning this operation for a long time.

Back in the main world, he really wanted a suitcase like Newt's in Fantastic Beasts, which was like a miniature world.

Firstly, having that box meant he essentially had a secret base.

As a superhero, especially one who doesn't intend to be controlled by any person or force, how can you not have your own secret base?

On the other hand, it's too inconvenient to carry a flying broom every time he goes out. Having a spatial device would save him a lot of trouble.

However, after his investigation and inquiries over this period of time, he found that boxes like Newt's are not as easy to obtain as you might imagine. Even if you have a lot of Galleons, you can't get them through normal channels.

Because spatial equipment like Newt's briefcase is primarily crafted using the Unseen Stretch Charm, an advanced spell that is typically learned in fifth or sixth grade.

The use of such a spell is strictly prohibited by the Ministry of Magic.

Magic has rules. The Unseen Stretch Charm, which can expand space, is a special spell that cannot be used for personal items. It can only be used for the production of specific items approved by the relevant Ministry of Magic (such as school suitcases and family tents).

Therefore, unless a wizard breaks the rules and makes it himself, it is impossible to buy the relevant products in a regular store.

However, given Jerry's current level of magical knowledge, even if he obtained the spell through other means, learning a high-level spell like the Unseen Stretch Charm would not be an easy task.

Even if one could learn it, the scope of its application would probably not be expanded much, not to mention that it would involve profound knowledge of alchemy.

Therefore, he focused his attention on the wizards he had come into contact with who might possess such items.

In fact, Hogwarts professors may have these things in private, but they might not carry them with them, and it would be difficult for him to have an opportunity to launch a sneak attack.

However, there was one exception.

That's Professor Quirrell, who teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts.

This professor was once an outstanding Ravenclaw wizard with considerable skill, especially in his passion for dark magic.

However, during a trip to Albania, he encountered the remnant of Voldemort's spirit, was seduced by it, became a loyal Death Eater, and even allowed Voldemort's spirit to possess him.

After returning to school, he would spend all his time covering the back of Voldemort's head with a purple turban and using strong-smelling things like garlic to mask Voldemort's rotten smell.

He began fabricating stories about encountering vampires and witches and being frightened, pretending to be a cowardly and timid person to lower everyone's guard against him.

This time, he planned to take advantage of the fact that everyone, including Headmaster Dumbledore and Night's Watchman Filch, was in the Great Hall, so that someone would go to the basement to release the trolls and create chaos, and take the opportunity to steal the Philosopher's Stone that could resurrect Voldemort from the forbidden area on the fourth floor.
