Chapter 772 The Book of Vishanti

Chapter 772 The Book of Vishan (First Update)

Seeing that Jerry had launched his first attack, Thanos, though guessing that the opponent might just be a fake illusion used to buy time, did not dare to be careless. He quickly raised his left hand and released the power of the Infinity Stones to block it.

However, something unbelievable happened again: the blue light ignored all the power of the Infinity Stones and still attacked him directly in the face.

Could this attack also be fake?

This was the only answer Thanos could think of.

However, as it turned out, his guess was clearly far wrong.

Because the moment his powerful body, which was almost immune to most energy and physical attacks, was hit by the blue light, he subconsciously let go.

Then, the glove in his left hand, inlaid with the five Infinity Stones, and the Tyrant's Twin Blades in his right hand flew out and landed in the hands of the person opposite him.

"Alright, the rest is up to you!"

Jerry, holding the Infinity Gauntlet in his left hand and the Tyrant's Twin Blades in his right, turned and smiled at Stephen, Professor X, and the others who had stood up again and were walking over.

Without the Infinity Gauntlet and the Tyrant Blades, Thanos is just a pure tank, and he can only passively take hits when facing Earth's superheroes with their diverse abilities.

Professor X was stunned for a while before he reacted and immediately joined the other heroes in attacking Thanos.

The main reason was that everything that happened after Jerry appeared was far beyond their expectations.

Who would have thought that a completely unknown superhero could single-handedly defeat the terrifying Thanos, or rather, unilaterally crush Thanos, easily removing Thanos's most powerful Infinity Gauntlet and signature weapon?

"Ouch~ That's terrible!"

A moment later, watching Thanos being ganged up on, Jerry couldn't help but sigh.

Even unarmed, given Thanos's power and defense, no superhero on the field could possibly be a match for him in a one-on-one fight.

But a group fight would be a completely different story.

Professor X's mind control made it impossible for Thanos to concentrate, and Black Bolt's sonic attacks caused him to cough up blood every time.

In addition, there's Mr. Fantastic's rubber band restraints, Captain Carter and Captain Marvel's close-quarters combat, Doctor Strange's ranged magical attacks, and various other support abilities.

Thanos was basically on the defensive the whole time, and the more he was attacked, the more injured he became. He could only rely on his powerful body to hold on.

This scenario is like playing a video game where a perfectly coordinated team works together to defeat a powerful boss. Although the boss is very strong, death is only a matter of time.

While the superheroes were beating Thanos, Jerry secretly opened his own panel.

"Fifty billion? That's a bit low, but it doesn't really matter."

He just stopped Stephen from opening the Dark Book, which is equivalent to preventing another parallel universe from being destroyed by Sithon. Now he has stopped Thanos, which is equivalent to preventing half of the life in this universe from disappearing.

Based on this calculation, the panel should provide a lot of small red stars, 5 billion is not bad, but it seems to be quite far from the expected amount.

However, he didn't dwell on it too much, because the main purpose of the little red star now was to serve as backup energy and for use when opening a new world for the first time.

With the Ring Universe, he doesn't actually lack the energy for normal use, and opening a new world wouldn't consume much either. Once the coordinates of the new world are located, he won't need it at all.

His reliance on the panel has now been reduced to a minimum.

"Sir, thank you so much for your help!"

An hour later, the tanky Thanos finally succumbed to the onslaught. Without Thanos as his spiritual leader, his cosmic army instantly crumbled, with most of them scattering and fleeing.

Led by Stephen, Professor X approached Jerry and expressed his sincerest gratitude.

If Jerry hadn't appeared and taken Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet, the outcome of today's final battle would have been very uncertain.

"You're welcome. I was just helping out; it wasn't much trouble at all."

Jerry waved his hand, just about to ask Professor X about Jean Grey's whereabouts, when suddenly a portal opened beside him, and Wang rushed out excitedly, holding a book.

"I've found the Book of Vishanti!"

"It really is the Book of Vishanti. Could I borrow it to take a look?"

Jerry looked at the book in Wang's hand, and an expression of interest immediately appeared on his face.

The Vishanti are a combination of three multiverse-level ancient gods, known as guardians of the multiverse, and their combined strength is no less than that of the top multiverse-level Sithon.

The Book of Vishanti and the Dark Book are actually similar; both can provide the knowledge one desires.

However, the Vishanti are not like Sithon, who would mind control readers to do evil things, so they are relatively safe.

The Book of Vishanti is very difficult to find; there is only one copy, unlike the Dark Book which was copied by Sithon and exists in almost every universe, sometimes even more than one copy in a single universe.

Jerry wasn't particularly interested in the laws of the world or the magic of the Vishanti, as his own was quite good. He suddenly wanted to borrow the Book of Vishanti, just to see if he could learn some advanced and multifaceted knowledge from it.

Although he is still a long way from being truly multifaceted, it's always better to get to the point sooner rather than later.

The king of this universe paused for a moment, not recognizing Jerry, and then turned to look at Stephen.

Stephen, Professor X, and the others exchanged glances, and through Professor X's telepathic abilities, quickly reached a consensus, saying to Wang:

"Give it to him!"

The purpose of sending King Pyre to the cosmic rift to find the Book of Vishanti was actually to find a way to deal with Thanos from within it. However, they didn't hold out much hope of finding it.

Now that Thanos has been killed and the war has been won, the Book of Vishanti is no longer of much use.

Lending the book temporarily to Jerry, the great hero who helped them kill Thanos, is a way of repaying Jerry's favor.

Of course, the main reason was that Jerry was too mysterious and powerful, making them afraid to refuse. If it were someone else, they might not have been able to do so.

Although Wang wasn't particularly familiar with the current situation, he trusted Stephen. Since Stephen agreed, he naturally had no objections and handed the Book of Vishanti to Jerry.

Jerry stored the Tyrant's Twin Blades in his right hand into the Ring Universe, then took the Book of Vishanti, and placed the Infinity Gauntlet in his left hand on the King's hand:

"Consider this a small token of my appreciation for borrowing it."

"Wait... isn't this the Infinity Gauntlet?!"

Wang looked at the glove in his hand, which was inlaid with five Infinity Stones, and was so startled that his hand trembled and he almost dropped it.

Stephen, Professor X, and the others exchanged another glance and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

People who don't even covet treasures like the Infinity Gauntlet probably pose no threat to them or Earth.
