Marvel's Hogwarts Wizard
Chapter 778 Trading
Chapter 778 The Deal (First Update)
"Why are you all here?"
Jerry raised an eyebrow as he watched Charles and Eric follow closely behind Hank and Raven.
Hank scratched his head in exasperation:
"I just went to see Raven, and Professor Charles and Eric were there too, and then..."
"Then I used a little of my ability. I'm sorry, I don't usually use my abilities on my companions easily, but since it involves Raven, I had to be careful."
Before Hank could finish speaking, Charles stepped forward and explained.
Hank just came to see Raven, and he was speaking haltingly, which clearly indicates that he's hiding something.
Although Hank is a mutant, he is actually a CIA agent. Having only known him for two days, Charles naturally doesn't trust Hank that much. So when he saw Hank coming to find Raven, he immediately used his telepathic abilities.
Having learned through telepathy that Hank had come for a reason, Charles naturally couldn't let Raven come with Hank alone.
"Okay, it's nothing really. Shall we begin now?"
Jerry waved his hand; he wasn't angry, just a little surprised.
But thinking about it, it makes sense. Apart from Mystique Raven, Charles wouldn't restrict the use of his abilities, especially now that he's in the CIA, he'll definitely be more careful.
"Let's begin, I'm ready."
As soon as Jerry finished speaking, Hank immediately responded with some excitement.
He had waited far too long to return to normal. Back then, in addition to his expertise in physics, he spent extra time studying biology, all in order to cure his big foot disease and be able to live openly and honestly like a normal person.
"And you, Miss Raven?"
Jerry turned to look at the beautiful and sexy Mystique Raven, who had transformed at that moment.
Raven looked somewhat confused. She opened her mouth as if to answer, but Charles suddenly spoke up:
"Raven, I think you can think about it some more. We don't need to make a decision so quickly."
Charles wasn't so opposed to Raven wanting to become a normal person, but he felt it was unnecessary. He didn't think mutants were superior, nor did he think mutants should be discriminated against.
If Raven is truly anxious about her appearance, then becoming an ordinary person would be a good option.
He tried to persuade Raven only because he cared about Raven. He doubted Jerry's special ability to turn mutants into ordinary people and worried that the outcome might not be so perfect.
To be honest, he can see through everyone he's met so far, including Eric, because of his telepathic abilities, or even without them.
But he couldn't see through Jerry, not only because he couldn't read Jerry's mind, but also because of the feeling Jerry gave him after spending these past few days together.
First of all, the timing of Jerry's appearance that day was too coincidental. Just when the CIA agents found him, the agents happened to show up, and coincidentally, they knew all the information about the Black King and were willing to tell them.
You have to understand, if Black Emperor Xiao could hide for so many years without being discovered, how could he so easily reveal all his goals and abilities?
Secondly, regarding Jerry Carmen, Agent Mora secretly told him that he couldn't be found in the CIA's system at all, as if he were a non-existent person who appeared out of thin air.
Finally, although Jerry followed them the whole time, saying he didn't want to see the Black King's conspiracy succeed, he hardly participated in their activities and didn't care much about the Black King's news. Instead, he would either wander around or go to the lab to talk to Hank about biology.
Anyway, the overall feeling was just not quite right.
"But do you think I look good like this?"
Hearing Charles's advice, Raven transformed into his blue, Avatar-like form, then took off the leather jacket he was wearing and threw it on the ground.
"Oh, Raven, what are you doing? Put your clothes on!"
Seeing Raven's expression, Charles quickly turned his head away and then reached out to block Eric's view as well.
To him, Raven was the girl he raised, his sister, and his family. Although she had now returned to her original form, there was no difference between her being naked and having no clothes on, so he naturally couldn't look at her directly.
However, his action was clearly interpreted differently by Raven, whose face gradually showed disappointment.
"As expected, you still think I'm ugly, like a monster."
Raven turned to look at Jerry:
"Please, Jerry, I want to be a normal person."
Just as Jerry was about to speak, Eric pushed aside Charles's hand that was blocking his way, walked straight up to Raven, looked her in the eye sincerely, and said:
"No, I think this is the most authentic you, the most beautiful you. You shouldn't feel inferior, you should feel proud. You don't need to change yourself for anyone. You are you, a unique mutant in this world!"
Once you become a normal person, you will no longer be a mutant, and you will no longer be of the same race as Charles and me.
Raven, who had been resolute, suddenly narrowed his lizard-like yellow pupils upon hearing Eric's words, and a look of hesitation returned to his face.
Magneto's ability to gather a large number of loyal mutants is due not only to his strength but also to his unique personal charisma.
He was genuinely proud of his mutant identity and truly felt that Raven was at his most authentic and beautiful at that moment.
If one day Raven becomes a normal human and is no longer a mutant, he will no longer take him seriously.
Seeing this, Jerry's eyes lit up, and he immediately spoke up:
"Here's what we'll do: I can help you change your appearance without removing your X-gene, making you look like ordinary people, but your mutant abilities will still remain."
However, this will be quite taxing on me, so I need you to agree to one condition.
"What are the conditions?"
Before Hank and Raven could speak, Charles spoke first.
Jerry said slowly:
"It's actually quite simple. The CIA will immediately have Hank research a brainwave diffuser that can amplify your telepathic abilities, and then use your abilities to search for possible mutants."
"I need you to help me focus my efforts on finding a mutant named Jean Grey a year from now."
"A brainwave diffuser? The director didn't tell me I was going to research this kind of device!"
Hank, standing to the side, looked completely puzzled.
Jerry waved:
He'll let you know in a few days.
Removing some physical changes while preserving the X gene's capabilities is not a difficult task for a being like Jerry, who can create life.
He decided to lay it all out in the open and use a transaction to achieve his goal, thus saving Charles and his ilk from constantly being suspicious of him.
